Amazing Leak Detection

I had a leak in my sprinkler system that my irrigation repair guy said was probably underneath my driveway. He told me to hire a leak detection service to make sure. I read the reviews on Unilocal and decided to go with this company. They beat several competitors’ prices. I met with Terry, the owner, and immediately was impressed at his knowledge and his explanation of the detection process. In no time, Terry located the leak which was unfortunately, as predicted, under the slab. Terry was very professional, and I would definitely recommend him to all of my friends and family. Big thumbs up!

I had a hot water leak under my slab and had 4 estimates for the repair, ranging from $ 1350 to $ 3850. All estimates were for a rerouting of the water line that failed rather than tear up the concrete floor. Amazing Leak Detection’s estimate was $ 1485. I selected them because of the good reviews that they had, and Terry’s proposal of how to do the reroute. Terry isolated the leak, found that he could utilize the failed line as a conduit for the replacement line, and, because the fix was considerably easier than thought, reduced the price by $ 270. Amazing Leak Detection was neat, professional, and on time. I would highly recommend them for finding and repairing home water line leaks.

We thought we had a slab leak because our floor felt hot, so we called Amazing Leak Detection. They came out, listened to all of the pipes, and checked the water main – and no leak! They even solved another small plumbing mystery in the process of checking for the nonexistent leak. We can’t say enough positive things about the work ethic of Joe and Kendrick at Amazing Leak Detection. We had three separate leaks in our pool/​skimmer, which required them to come back out repeatedly. Each time we called, they promptly scheduled to return to our home and did not charge us beyond the initial one-​time leak detection fee. They also provide a two-​year warranty on the work they perform. The scheduling lady at Amazing Leak Detection is polite and calls you back right away, and Joe and Kendrick are always professional and committed to the work they do. It would make life a lot easier if every company had the ethics and sincere concern about their customers and pride in their job as this company has. Amazing indeed. Joe and Kendrick found the leak (s) in the pool after thorough testing. And while it wasn’t good news, was relieved they found the problems. Amazing says is all! They found the two leaks in my pool very quickly. Two days later they repaired them. Joe and his associate were terrific. They were even great with my twin toddlers. You couldn’t ask for better technicians working at your home!

We hired Amazing to fix pool leaks. The original detection did not discover a major leak my husband found on his own. We had them replace and reroute all pipes from our pool. They left trash and debris In the yard I had to pick up. We called them back out to smooth out the part of the yard they dug up which they did the next day. We also had to have them fix the concrete they had initially done a poor patch job on. We had Perry’s come out and fix some of the pipe connected to the pump that was done poorly. Terry did finally come out and assured the concrete was patched properly. It took three weeks to get it fixed, which is unfortunate, but Terry did ensure we were happy in the end.

We’ve had two great experiences with Terry at Amazing Leak Detection.
On Christmas Eve of 2013, we lost our hot water. Our usual contractor suspected a leak under our slab floor and recommended that we contact a leak detection company — I had never heard of one before. Terry at Amazing Leak Detection came over and quickly found the leak by pressurizing the water system and using his sound detection equipment.
Terry was able to schedule a trip back to find the location of the leak and propose a solution. Sure enough, the leak was under the slab in the kitchen and Terry recommended a re-​route using PEX pipe rather than jack hammering up our flagstone floor. He returned on New Year’s Eve day and he was able to complete the job in one day — and it’s been fixed ever since. And the cost was a lot less than ripping up our floor.
We had to call Terry again last week (June 2014) when our water stopped flowing on one side of the house. Thinking it might be related to the hot water re-​route of 5 months earlier, I called for help.
Terry came out on the same day by lunchtime and was able to quickly find the problem — our water softener had self-​destructed and resin had plugged the inlet water line. Terry quickly fixed the problem by removing the softener and cleaning out the water line.
We will use Terry again and we recommend him if you suspect a leak or another plumbing problem.

These guys looked like they had good reviews so I hired them to address an issue with my pool. The issue was misdiagnosed twice with repairs being done on other items along the way. In the end we had to hire another company to fix the issue for us who had the correct diagnostic equipment.

Joe did a great job of isolating my pool pipe leak and fixing it without digging up my entire patio. I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire process. The work was done quickly, professionally, accurately, and at a very reasonable price. I hope my pipes never leak again but if they did I would call Amazing Leak Detection in a heartbeat.

I have an elderly client who had a leak out by her pool. I saw the other good review that Amazing Leak Detection, called for pricing (lower than others I had found) and decided to recommend them to her. They came out right away and detected and fixed her leak and she was VERY pleased.
