This is a cool bar to go if you want to catch up with friends. The owners Doug and Scott are very nice and communicative as well. It’s cool how they run there own bar. I think it’s better that way for many reasons. The drinks were fairly strong and perfectly made. The drinks are priced very well. It could be a great place to «pre-game» before going out on the the night. This bar also has a «back-yard» area where you can smoke and drink instead of being stuck inside. A lot of people don’t come here but I was still able to meet some new friends here. I left this bar around 10 p. m and there were maybe a total of 6 other people in the bar when I left. Not sure if it gets packed throughout the night closer to midnight but overall is a great bar to just«chill» at. There was also a live singer on Saturday night when I was there.

So nice to go to a «dive bar» that isn’t so dicey! New owner Scott really did a nice job of cleaning up this place! Had a fabulous peach martini(love when they offer chick drinks), great comfortable furniture and was perfect for our girls night out! Awesome place to spend an evening!!!

Anyone who has lived for any length of time in Glendale is familiar with The Capri Lounge, this place put the D in Dive Bar. On any given day when you walk into the Capri, it is akin to walking into a movie set with an abundance of characters right out of Central Casting. Lets just say the aroma of the place was a cross between cigarettes and mold and perhaps other things better left unmentioned, definitely a dive bar maybe a little too much so but hey who am I to judge? To each his own. Enter Scott Starkey a great guy who makes you feel like you are in his living room serving you a drink and visiting with an old friend. Scott spruced up the place, added a nice seating area and no doubt called in Haz Mat to deal with the«odors» whatever they may be. The Capri has a new and improved look and feel, I went last Saturday with a friend, she loved it, there was an amazing band playing with a rich soulful sound, great music, great drinks and a great host, how can one go wrong? check out the Capri for a new experience and for those of you such as myself who like Dive Bars, not to worry The Capri still has a element of that left which is definitely a good thing.

Found this spot through Unilocal, looked at the reviews and I must say that it has a cool neighborhood dive bar feel to it. Doug and Scott are very welcoming from the time you walk in the door. Overall, it is a nice place to come have a drink after a long day of work.

A breath of fresh air in a previously dank bar that was more locker room than a drinking establishment. Scott Starkey has done a good job in turning this place into a nice corner bar. It doesn’t smell anymore. The pool table is gone along with the«experts» who loudly proclaimed their skills(none). Comfortable seating. Better screens mounted on the wall for«game day». Free fresh popcorn and a friendly owner. Free WIFI. Karaōke on Wednesdays. More changes coming. The Unilocal-whiners who are giving low scores to the new ownership should GROWUP. Change happens, little people. Maybe one day, you will be mature enough to understand. Stop in and see for yourself. None of the pictures on Unilocal represent what it looks like. Those are the photos of the old sh1thole.

The old Capri was great, but it is under new management and I’m so excited. So many great changes. Love the new owner, the updates, the music and they still pour a strong drink. What more do you want?

Nicole the kick ass bartender rules the roost. New owners have made the place more comfortable in the fall of 2015. They have added a few touches to make the bar less like a watering hole outside of San Quentin. It’s a neighborhood dive with strong drinks and a popcorn machine!

Oh poor Capri — I miss you and Lola and the relaxed vibe. Now you walk up to a closed door and weird vibe. Don’t even want to poke your head in anymore.

UPDATE: I’m pretty sure it’s not closed! Under new ownership and I think they trying to move the Capri in a new direction. Gone is our favorite neighborhood dive bar. Welcome dive… umm…lounge? Pool table, juke box, darts are gone. I want them back. Disco was playing when I was there. We were served a dirty martini in a curvy stem glass. The kind you find in a Home Goods store, or the kind a relative gets you because they know you like«cocktails.» First of all, when I think Capri I don’t think dirty martini, although I’m open to change. But for that change to happen, something better entice me to get a dirty martini from here, as opposed to going to JAX where I know they’re going to do it right. So far, I just don’t see that something. One of the owners specializes in mixing wines. I have never heard of wine mixing. Is that a thing? Let’s see how the place evolves over the next couple months. Seeing the old Capri gone is like seeing part of the city die.

The Capri, aka The Hell Hole, aka The Gateway to Hell, will definitely grow on you. They have a dart board, pool table, and juke box that keeps the music pumping throughout the night. Lola, is an amazing bar tender and person. Anyone who says otherwise is a jaded Lesbian or loser guy that’s been turned down repeatedly. They have the best Michellada’s and the drinks are strong and purposeful. The crowd is usually mellow but is known to get excited. Over the past two years there has always been a reason for me to stumble out with a smile.

Chill spot to grab a drink. Well priced, cool people, and a great staff. They have a pool table that is free on sundays, an electronic dart board and a digital jukebox. Free wifi, cold beers and dim lighting. perfect for drinking and enjoying yourself

Im definitely into the bar scene, and this is the coziest and coolest bar in Glendale. Lola is by far my favorite bartender. Not only at this bar but in general. She made me a drink tonight, called White Gummy Bear. This drink is a must! Bravo Lola !!

Cute little dive bar. Good prices and regular beers on tap. Pool table is on the weak side, doesn’t even feel like a real table. Usually filled with regulars that live locally. I went here on a Thursday and it was mildly busy. We had a good time though! 100% true dive bar. Will return.

Great little dive bar in Glendale. At first a bit intimidating walking in, but everyone was super chill. Bartender was cool, and the drinks were cheap. Ah yes, spoken like a true alcoholic. Holla!

Great dive bar! Walked in here with a friend of mine and it was dead as fuck, the bartender was kicking it at the end of the bar talking to her friend and the jukebox was blasting Depeche Mode. We were going to leave, but then all of a sudden in walks a group of 4 – 5 milfy broads dressed in tight ass mini skirts and come-fuck-me-pumps. Needless to say we remained seated and took in all of that mifish glory. A couple of the milfs came over and started chatting us up about«finally being able to get together for a girls night out» and«a break from the kids» and«how when they drink they get crazy»… bitch, shut the fuck up, sit there, look pretty and keep drinking. Don’t nobody want to hear all that. The beers were cheap, drinks were good(heavy pour) and the music selection was good. The place is dimly lit, the seats are broken in and comfortable an best of all it doesn’t smell in there.
