Absolute worst experience here! Came to get my hair done from prom and was treated with the worst customer service. First of all, my hair stylist did not speak English and could not understand what I was asking for even when I was showing her pictures (it was a very simple hairstyle: hair down with loose curls) and would get upset anytime i talked to her. My friend who came with me tried to take a picture so I could see what she was doing, and she yelled at her as well. She did not smooth my hair down and was overall incredibly unprofessional, clearly speaking in Armenian about me in front of me. Would never recommend anyone to go there. Waste of money and time.

This review is long overdue. The reason as to why I decided to write a review now, is because I just got out of my appointment and every single time Susanna works her magic, as humbly as I could say this, my makeup looks like pure perfection. I finally thought that it was about time that I let my secret ace up my sleeve out of the bag. Let me first start off by saying that I live over an hour away and with traffic, it takes double the time =(Secondly, I hate driving… especially long distances, but if it’s to go see Susanna to make me look the way she does, oh you better believe that I will drive in rush hour traffic just so she can work her wonders on me. Also, I’m one of those girls who rarely leaves the house without being all done up so needless to say, I do my makeup really really well. But when Susanna does it, it just looks even more amazing (I always say that it’s my skill set on super steroids =)
Every single experience I’ve had with Château de Luce, has been nothing short of amazing. The place is gorgeous and all the girls that walk out of there, look like they can walk right into a modeling photo shoot (I’m not even exaggerating!). Especially this morning bright and early at 7AM, there was a wide array of women of every age (girls in their 20s to ladies in their 70s) and when their look was completed, they all looked phenomenal!!!
I’m always greeted by the receptionist with a beautiful smile and she always makes sure that my thirst is quenched with whatever they have to offer. It’s really important for clients to feel welcomed starting from the front office personnel all the way to the stylist (s). And it also seems that Château de Luce specially hand picks and is very stringent in their selection of stylists because even though my loyalty has been to Susanna for the last 8 years, there’s not one makeup or hair stylist that I wouldn’t try if she happened to not be available. As any woman, my outward appearance is really important to me and I really appreciate a salon that I don’t have to worry about getting the «rookie» or someone who isn’t as talented as the stylist next to her.
There’s a reason why Château de Luce has such amazing reviews and in my book, they are the gurus in their industry. I’m really surprised to see some of the not so pleasant reviews, but we’re all human and no one is perfect. With coming here as often as I do to get dolled up, I just know that all of the girls at Château de Luce give it their 110% and if there was a mishap or miscommunication of any sort, I know that if given the opportunity, all of the stylists, especially the owner, will do what it takes to remedy the situation.
Seriously, whether it’s your wedding, your birthday, or just any special event, I can guarantee that you won’t be disappointed. These girls are simply FABULOUS!!! I really can vouch for this place as a whole!

I do not know where to begin about this talented hair salon! I had an important event to attend last week and did not know where to go. My friend recommended this salon because she always liked the work the ladies do. The receptionist was so nice and was able to squeeze me in. I got my hair done with Nare and my makeup with Suzy. I could not believe how pretty I looked that day. What separates this salon from any other is the fact that they actually listen to the customer and there needs! Suzy took the time to listen to my ideas regarding the specifics of the makeup I wanted. Can’t wait to go back!

It’s really amazing how this place has 5 stars, I’m guessing it is coming from the staff’s friends and family!
These people are not straight forward about their schedules, prices and can drag you down to the salon, waste a good hour or two of your time just to give you a 2 minute consultation even after you make an appointment with them.
I was excited to have found them, but so disappointed with them now. I will for sure not want an unorganized salon to add to the stress on my wedding day.
Dear Lusine, next time you make an appointment with someone, make sure you communicate with a simple text that they will have to wait for an hour to talk to you for 2 minutes.
Dear Nare, next time you make an appointment, please kindly come downstairs and check to see if your appointment is waiting for you or not, don’t assume your appointment is late.

The best salon in Glendale. I always go to Susanna for my makeup for any occasion. I have tried many different makeup artists, but she is the only one I keep going back to. She takes her time, pays attention to what I want and makes sure I leave completely satisfied. She is very friendly and makes getting ready a breeze!

Had my makeup done with Lusine couple of months back for my sisters wedding. She did an amazing job! She was very professional, friendly, and took her time with me. She wanted to make sure that I was 100% happy with my makeup!!! Thanks bunches Lusine!

My wedding was 2 weeks ago, and the gals at Château De Luce did not disappoint! I spent hours searching online for the perfect hair and makeup team, and after one failed trial with another vendor, I was really lucky to find Lusine’s salon. So here goes my novel…
The salon itself is beautiful, and we were set up on the second floor. We ran into a few minor issues at the start of the morning, as there seemed to be some confusion about what was originally discussed regarding the timeline and the bridesmaids’ looks. Though, the ladies were quick to remedy each concern. I had a few Bridezilla moments (eeps!) and everyone continued to be extremely professional, patient, and accommodating.
First off, Nare did my hair and Lusine did my makeup. I definitely recommend doing the trial session beforehand, because what you like in pictures does not always translate well on you. I ended up tweaking the makeup from my trial and changing my updo completely. Nare is a true professional, and she is GOOD. She is a perfectionist and really takes pride in her work, so she made sure every single baby hair was on point before I left. I am extremely picky, and the final product turned out even better than I had imagined! As far as makeup goes, Lusine took note of every change that I requested from our trial run, and everything turned out flawless. It also lasted the entire day– we’re talking 9:00am-midnight!
Susanna was in charge of makeup for the bridesmaids. I had seen her work on Unilocal prior to our appointment, and was glad she was available that morning. At first, 2 of the bridesmaids’ makeup did not match the look I was going for– simple and classic. Once I pointed it out to Susanna, she fixed everything in under 10 minutes and my girls looked gorgeous! Nare and Karine worked on the bridesmaids’ hair, and after a few suggestions, they were able to execute an updo from a photo perfectly.
Lusine genuinely cares about her clients, and she kept on checking in with me to make sure that everyone left happy. We were on a tight timeline, so she also made sure that we were out of the door on time.
The services are not cheap, but they are still affordable, especially for the level of quality you get (trust me, I did A LOT of research). I would caution against skimping on wedding hair and makeup– your photos are going to last a lifetime, so it’s important to invest in real pros for your special day. I HIGHLY recommend booking Lusine and her team!

Thank you so much Lusine and Susanna! They are the BEST makeup artist!!! They are truly blessed with an amazing talent! I hired them for bridal makeup and for my bridesmaids. Everyone was beyond happy and impressed with there work and professionalism. If you want to look amazing book them! They have an eye for all your special makeup concerns. Let’s put it this way I didn’t even have to say what concerns I had regarding discoloration etc. beyond that many people from the wedding complimented me, along with the bridesmaids on how wonderful we all looked. I will attach pictures when they arrive. On top of that they were easy going and did not cause stress as I had experienced on a prior makeup trial. Blessings!

I come here for Nare, she’s the sweetest! She has been my hairstylist for a while now and the only one I can trust, she always goes above and beyond.

This place is a hidden gem tucked behind the Markplace on Maryland. After reading a few Unilocal reviews and stalking a few Instagram pages –haha– I decided Château De Luce would be the perfect place for me to get done up before my brother’s wedding day.
I got my hair done by Nare, and I loved how much she worked with me and asked me questions. Most hairstylists will just glance a photo for three seconds and work at your hair and say «All done» and send you off. Nare asked my opinions the whole way through making sure it was being done the way I wanted it. The only thing I wasn’t used to was that I had to come in with my hair washed and wet, but it wasn’t an issue since I had to shower before I went anyways.
Lusine was my makeup artist, and I loved how my makeup turned out. She too spent her time making sure it was going to come out exactly how i’d like. She paid attention to detail and worked specifically with my own individual features, unlike most makeup artists who unfortunately use one style for all their clients. She was very down to earth and friendly as was her entire staff which made the whole experience very pleasant and comfortable.
I got compliments on my hair and makeup all day and night at the wedding – ill definitely be making an appointment here again for my next big event.

I got my hair done by Nareh and make up by Suzy and loved loved loved it all. I am so picky usually i will come home and fix my own hair and make up, there was absolutely no need to do that this time around. Susanna is amazing at what she does, nobody gets my winger liner perfect and she did! Found my makeup artist for life :)

They were able to see my niece for prom hair and make up. Melanie did her hair and Susie did her make up.
I was blown away at how talented these women are. My niece has long thick heavy Asian hair to her butt, but Melanie took her time to make sure every strand was curled and set to a perfect wave. She Also ensured lots of volume so her hair had time to fall by evening prom time. (Which fell to a perfect volume and the waves kept its shape). Susie did beautiful make up as well. Smokey eye but not too crazy for an 18 year old. Asians eyes are tricky. But Susie nailed it.
The staff were so wonderful and I loved that they took their time with my niece on her special day. I really recommend this salon. The other clients were also very happy there… great salon.

I gave this salon 5 stars because they were amazing at what they did and they were very sweet and welcoming on top of it! First, I had my hair done by Gayane and she did exactly what I asked and it lasted all night. Then I got my makeup done by Lusine and she was sweet and made me look fabulous! I felt like a million bucks leaving there! I will be definitely be returning back!

Just had my makeup done with Lucine. She was the sweetest person. She had the most awesome products and most importantly she sis my makeup how I wanted it! She took her time with every step. She even contoured my face and I feel like I look skinner! Thank you so much

WARNING unless you’re Armenian do not come here. The hairdressers could barely understand what I was saying and my hairdresser did not speak one word of English.
First off these people must of thought I was an amateur because after having a picture displayed of the hair I wanted the WHOLE time I came out with something completely different. I was clearly upset and after telling me they’ll quote «FIX IT» I decided to leave. They began to YELL AT ME while I was remaining calm and say it was my fault for coming in last minute and changed their story saying my hair had red in it that’s why it came out copper!
I’m not a hairstylist but I know for a fact my hair would not have come out copper red when I asked for caramel brown!!! That was YOUR coloring mistake.
PLEASE READ: THERE WERE NO LICENSES DISPLAYED. do not let the fancy décor fool you! These people are practicing without proper licenses!

I came here for hair and makeup for a maternity shoot. Suzanna did my make up and I was sooooo happy with the outcome. I felt absolutely gorgeous and flawless. The make up lasted all day (eyelashes too) and looked stunning in all of my selfies, lol (I haven’t received my professional photos yet). Juzanna did my hair and it also came out beautiful. Thank you ladies!
