Recently used there service and the Limo was 20 minutes earlier then the scheduled pick up time. Very professional, clean and stocked well. Had a great experience. Highly recommended. Thank you!

If I could give a zero I would. Booking the limo for a high school prom we were told 24 – 26 persons. We had 24. The driver then told us the contract was for 22 and we would need to pay him cash, $ 50 per extra person or he wouldn’t take them. Told him to call headquarters and he told me he tried but they weren’t answering. Told him to add it to the credit card and he said he couldn’t add it because it had already been processed. Standing in a parking lit with the other parents of these 24 kids scrounging up cash was not how we wanted this. I called the number on the limo and it was answered immediately. When I started to dispute the alleged 22 person vs the 24 – 26 agreed upon number he then started blustering about 22 and said it was only for 20. This screams of scam. Everything was agreed to and processed over the phone so the contract the driver said he had was never seen by any of the parents that contributed and agreed to this. Additionally, my daughter said he was driving with very jerky movements and the kids were having to hang on to not be thrown off the seats. After the event the kids still had time in the 6 hour booking and wanted the driver to tour them around the park. He stopped the limo, got out and started ranting. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable behavior! I highly caution anyone from using this company. Worst Limo experience. Scam.

This was horrible service. First we requested a party bus, booked it and the company said they overbooked and upgraded to a H2 that seated 22 – 24. Then charged and additional $ 200. H2 showed up and the driver said it only seated 22 and we have to come up with an additional $ 100, but it had to be cash. When we asked him to call his boss he said boss didn’t answer, but he would take $ 50 cash for the «extra 2»! I asked him to document the extra $ 50 to which he scoffed at doing. Such a horrible thing to do to a group of senior trying to enjoy the prom.

I was very happy with Five Star Limousine. There was a bit of snafu with my son’s prom transportation, so I needed a 6 passenger at the last minute. Mike was very accommodating and very pleasant to talk to. I was concerned about the previous reviews, so I asked a lot of questions and he put my mind as ease. I had a good feeling, so I went with it. The Limo was very clean, they were not only on time, but even a bit early, there were plenty soda’s and water for the kids, and even champagne glasses (per my request) for sparkling cider. AJ was their driver and was also very assuring and professional. All in all, a great experience. We will be using Five Star in the future. Thanks Mike and AJ!!!

A group of friends rented an Escalade stretch limo from this company. The night went from bad to worse. The limo arrived 25 minutes late throwing off our dinner reservations. The limo was dirty and looked like it had seen better days. Driver was okay not great. When the friend booking the limo spoke with the owner Mike, he was very rude to her and offered no apology. His attitude was too bad I don’t care. There are many other limo companies out there… don’t waste your time with bad customer service and run down limos.

The is truly a 5 star service place. From the booking process, to the limo we got, to the driver that was so patient and professional. We had multiple stops and the driver knew the way to every one of them without us having to direct him, and was early and waited for us in between stops and was so pleasant about it in July heat! We booked a stretch Escalade for our wedding and they went above and beyond and upgraded us to a top of the line Escalade and provided a bottle of Champaign since it was our wedding. I would definitely recommend them for any of your transportation needs they are absolutely the best

Im giving this so called limo company two stars, Should give 1 however the driver was really nice and I’ll tell you why below. Date was set for Sept 1^st 2013. My wedding day. I got the limo for a real great price $ 700 for 6 hours (White Escalade w/​Gulwing) Drinks included. The lady I spoke with was nice at the time, gave me an offer I could not refuse. Everything was great until the day of the wedding. On the day of the wedding, I called the lady who I book the service through, and told her to please not come to pick me up on the day of my wedding, I would drive down to the church with my friends. Instead I asked her to have the limo go directly to the brides house to pick her up and bring her to church where I would be waiting. As soon as i called her and forwarded this information to her, she said she was going to charge me $ 50 extra for the driver and gas. I told her why would I pay an extra $ 50 if nothing is changing, except for the limo to go straight to the brides house. She said well the driver is 2 minutes away, he already drove the distance to pick you up. At which point I told her Yes, he was going to pick me up anyways at the same price so instead why doesnt he go pick up my bride and I will meet them at church (which was the half way point between our homes). She said the driver is already at your house, and he burned gas to get to your house and now is going to leave with an empty limo to go pick up the bride. She said no thats an extra $ 50. I said so your going to charge me $ 50 extra for the service I already paid $ 700 for. No change in route or time, just the fact that I will not be in the Limo? She said exactly. I said this doesnt make any sense, she said it makes a lot of sense to me, completely different when I first spoke to her over the phone. It was like she was two different people. These people dont care what they tell you up front, the price they quote you is a shell price. It only starts to go up from there. So, who gets screwed besides the paying customer? The driver. You charge me $ 50 extra that leaves less tip for your driver. The driver heard my argument with the lady and said dont be mad, she always does this. Its your wedding day, they know your not going to back down. Its how they make money. I felt really bad for the man so I still gave him a well deserved tip. However I will never book with this company again. All limo companies are liars, get your facts straight. But if your gonna lie about something, make sure the reason is legit. Why would I pay an extra $ 50 for the same time and route we originally agreed on per the verbal contract over the phone? Senseless way to lose a business… So remember whatever price she quotes you, add a few $ 50’s on top so you wont be puzzled when she gives you bs excuses…

We booked with Five Star Limousine for our daughter’s 16^th birthday. The experience was absolutely TERRIBLE! First of all, the driver arrived too early, against our instructions, parking directly in front of the house and ruining the surprise for my daughter, despite clear instructions about where he was to park. Second, we specifically booked a H2 Hummer limousine, and that is not what they sent. I strongly believe they lied about having an H2 available in order to get my business. Third, this was a teenage party and I specifically instructed them to have NO alcohol. To my shock, the driver not only showed up with a fully stocked bar — but he didn’t even ask me or mention it as he watched twenty 16-​year-​olds climb into the limousine. He clearly would have driven away with the teenagers in the back free to enjoy the alcohol without saying a word to me and exposing me (as the host of the party) to tremendous legal liability. Luckily, I checked the limo before sending the kids off with this irresponsible and unethical driver. Fourth, they were supposed to stock the limo with sparkling cider for the kids and did not do so. This was specifically noted on the reservation. But when we mentioned it to the driver and asked him to go to the store to get the cider, he refused to go, pretending to not speak English well enough and not understanding what we were asking. Finally, I decided the driver could not be trusted with the teenagers, so I made the decision to drive around in the cab of the limo with the driver all night from spot to spot, which was the last thing I wanted to do after spending a fortune for the limousine. When I wrote to the company to complain, I did not even receive the courtesy of a response. I will never use Five Star (or VIP Transportation, which appears to be an affiliated company) again.

I didn’t use them, but I was hit by one of their cars while waiting at a traffic light. No joke, we’re sitting there and all of a sudden a feel a thud from the right. I look over and the guy had literally drove into me. My friend in the back told me that he actually saw the guy just suddenly turn right into my lane as if there wasn’t even a car there! Anyway, the guy started waving and slowly driving off as if «we’re cool, right?» but I followed him as he made a right and then he stopped and we got out of the car. He said he was in a huge rush because he was on a job. My friend in the back was convinced he was on something but obviously that is unconfirmed. Honestly, we all pretty much felt bad for him that this had happened and that he was in the middle of a job, so I snapped some pictures of my damage and got him to give me his insurance info. He wouldn’t give me his DL, but I got his phone number. He kept saying not to go through insurance and that he has a friend with a body shop and he’ll take care of it. So that’s what I did… or tried to do. I held off on insurance and called him. I tried to work out times with him over the phone, but then at some point that next week, he stopped returning my calls. So when I called his insurance broker at the end of that week, I get the runaround and a call from the OWNER of the company who’s pissed that I’m calling his insurance and that he’ll take care of the car. He wants me to drop it off my «his guy» and he’ll have it ready in 3 – 4 hours. I decided to stick with the insurance because he’s obviously trying to short-​change and inconvenience me (he thinks it’ll be a few hundred bucks and 3 – 4 hours, but I got 2 independent estimates of about 1500 and 3 – 5 days), even though the accident was his driver’s fault. Well, his insurance took the claim but won’t return my calls. They haven’t given me anything in writing yet, but I found out from one guy that they’re now saying that I drove into them! Pretty shady! I’m not worried because I had two passengers with me, and the pictures pretty much tell the story (plus the fact that he didn’t even ask for any of my info). Anyway, just wanted to post this just so anyone who intends to use their services knows what kind of people’s (owner and drivers) hands they will be putting their lives into (imagine the driver just accidentally going into the next lane over on the freeway at 65 mph). I will post my update to this story if anyone is interested after the court date is over, as it doesn’t look like their insurance company is going to do anything. Oh, and how lame is this company… all this lying/​cheating just to save 2k bucks. Seriously, I would never go with a company that went to such great lengths to save only a few bucks, especially when they have insurance for that purpose.

Bought a voucher online from Amazon and when I went to book the car, I realized that the date of pick up would be two days past the voucher expiry date. I expected that Five Star would honor the voucher considering it was already paid for and so close to the date. Sadly, I was mistaken. The owner was rude

Rented a limo for my bday on 7÷12÷13, rented a Chrysler 300 12 passenger and when the limo arrived it was a SUV limo! Was surprised for the upgrade they gave us and the driver was super nice and we all had a awesome time! Definately recommend this limo service to anyone who is looking for one! I will use this limo company again if I ever need too! So happy with the outcome! Thank u five star !! I give u five stars as well! :)

I found them here on Unilocal,along with 15 other limo services that I was considering. Five Star Limousine of LA gave the best deal and we were extremely satisfied with everything from the booking to the round-​trip ride. Our driver, Alan, was professional yet personable and overall great. He was very knowledgable about how to maneuver thru LAX and thru Los Angeles on our return trip. . The company rep (Namoi) contacted me through email initially quoting me on the type of limo i had requested for my wedding. She was very consistent with responses and answering my questions. On the day of our wedding nov 24^th. The limo showed up on time, not a minute late. The bridal party was running late and the driver had no issues waiting. I had the driver make a couple of stops to take pictures before reaching our wedding destination. The driver was extremely friendly and accommodating. The service was professional and the price was very fair. I will definitely use this company for my future limo neesds. Good job guys.

Hired them last year for my Oscar party and they were great, both car and driver. Hired them again this week for the People’s Choice Awards and their driver Gilbert was fantastic, knew all the best ways to get into downtown during rush hour (no small feat) and was very personable. Managed to leave my 5pm appointment and still make it to the Nokia before the doors closed and telecast started at 6pm, a two-​hour trip in my car turned into a 45-​minute miracle thanks to Gilbert and Five Star.

One of the difficult tasks in renting a limousine service is trying to find one that will give you great service as well as competitive prices. I found that perfect combination in Five Star Limo of LA.
I found this company on the internet after clicking almost 8 – 10 links. I was pretty close to settling on another company but I decided to take a chance and give Five Star a call.
The website was nothing spectacular but it did have a very healthy fleet compared to other companies.
I got on the phone with Mike Gartchian and he was extremely friendly. He asked me all the pertinent questions regarding my event and he offered me a number of vehicles that would fit my needs. The best part was Mike offered me a vehicle that wasn’t even on the website and that was the perfect ride for the event.
On the day of the event, I contacted Mike who supplied me with the information regarding the driver and the vehicle. I called the driver who gave me his exact location and what time he would be arriving. He was running 5 minutes late because of traffic but when he didn’t take a single minute more than that. The driver was dressed to the T, opened doors for the passengers and kept in constant contact with me until he arrived to the location

WORST LIMOUSINE EXPERIENCE EVER! We booked a limousine through five star limousine for a 30^th birthday trip to Santa Barbara wine country. From start to finish we could not have been more disappointed with the service provided. When booking with this company I specifically asked whether they were experienced with wine tours in Santa Barbara being that they were a LA company. The representative I booked with assured me that they did Santa Barbara wine tasting tours all the time and that the driver would be familiar with the area. This could not have been further from the truth. To start out, the driver was 30 minutes late picking us up and then he decided (without asking us first) to take PCH all the way from LA up to Santa Barbara which easily added an extra hour to our trip. I have been up to Santa Barbara wine country several times and never before had the trip taken us so long. We scheduled the limo to pick us up at 8:30 and with the driver being late and him deciding to take PCH, we did not reach the first winery until after 12:00! Needless to say, this put us way behind schedule and we had to call all the wineries and try to re-​schedule our tasting reservations. Luckily, most of the wineries were still able to take our group, but spending the day calling wineries and rearranging our tours was not the way I wanted to spend my 30^th birthday. The driver also got us lost along the way to the second winery and we ended up pulling a huge Hummer limo up to what looked like someone’s house and then waiting for the driver to maneuver the limo out of this person’s driveway, which easily set us back another 20 minutes. However, none of this was the most disappointing part of our day. When we got to our third winery the limo driver took off. He claims to have told someone that he was going to get gas, but he did not tell me and I was the one who booked and was paying for the limo. He left us at this winery a little after 3:00 knowing that it closed at 4:00 (because he had a list of each winery we were going to that day AND the times they closed). He left us at this winery for over an hour (a typical wine tasting only takes 20 minutes). We were stranded at this winery, which was closed and could not even sell us a bottle of wine. We basically spent about 40 minutes sitting in a dirt parking lot waiting for the limo to return. I understand that he needed gas, but this definitely could have been planned better, especially considering the fact that we had a picnic lunch at the second winery and spent over an hour there. That would have been an ideal time to plan his trip to the gas station. The women working at the winery where we were stranded said that they had NEVER seen this happen before. To make matters worse, because the driver was so late picking us up from the third winery, we never even made it to our appointment at our last winery which closed at 5:00. The driver did not even apologize for his delay and claimed that the first gas station he went to was closed so he had to drive 15 miles further. To me this was completely unacceptable.
After we returned to LA, I called the company and spoke with the owner/​manager, Mike. He listened to my complaints and only seemed interested in making excuses for the driver’s many errors. He was not very apologetic, but did say he would call me back and see what he could do to for me. BUT, not surprising coming from this company, I never heard from Mike again. Not only is it rude, but it is completely unprofessional to not even bother to call me back. I have been on many wine tasting tours in the past, and by far this was my worst experience yet. I would definitely advise anyone considering booking a limo with this company to go elsewhere, even if it is a little more expensive.

They were extremely professional, the car was comfortable, clean, and luxurious, the driver was friendly & on time, and they have great prices.
I would definitely recommend them, and I look forward to doing business with them again.
