Five Star Tutoring Center

I was very interested in getting my daughter into this establishment to brush up on some subjects. I would say at around 2ish pm couple of weeks ago… to inquire, as the phone rings… what seemed to be a cellphone– type– voice– mail, picked up. Well, I’m a little confused… I hung up checked the number and then decided to call back and leave my info. Oh welll… to my surprise, an (what sounded like) older lady, (kind of a raspy voice) answered. okay… cool…right? I was still confused because she answered with an annoyed, ‘Hello”.So I responded, «Ummmm…Five Star Tutoring?» WHich she responded, ‘Yes call back after 4pm!!’ CLick… Oh shit I’m sorry ! I clearly was bothersome to her. I WAS SOOOO MADD LIKE SHIT… AT LEAST HAVE THAT POSTED ON YOUR WEBSITE NEXT TO THE BUSINESS HOURS LISTED AT 10AM-​10PM. THE FUCK… THEN I REALIZED YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. ESPECIALLY IN GLENDALE. SHEESHHHH
Now I pay top fucking dollar at a PROFESSIONAL place… WITH PROFESSIONAL FUCKING PEOPLE. IN ATWATER… Bitch sounded like she just woke up and smoked a cigarette.

The youth nowadays are way too in tune with how life works and it seems to me that some are forgetting how important it is to learn the basics in life; math, english, history and so on. I feel as though when they put their mind forth in their studies they in fact will get good grades and will feel better about themselves, while their family, friends and self will stand proud for their achievements. Learning in a classroom environment was always a challenge for me! I was the one who was embarrased to ask questions and felt dumb, I didnt like to clarify things because the other students would giggle in the back, and I felt like I was in a constant competition with everyone in the private school that I went to (and I was stuck with the same people for many years). Last year, I found that my 6 year old cousin (who is like a daughter to me) was asking for help and shared with me some horrible feelings she experiences while in her classroom at school, including experiences with her teacher who is a master at favoritism (NOT COOL). My mind immediately went back to elementary and middle school and I thought of what my mom did for me when I went through all that jazz. I was placed in 2 different after school tutoring programs, which are still around in Northern California and very expensive, but they helped! So I googled tutoring centers in Glendale for my cousin and found this place. The gentleman on the phone had good manners and was very helpful with helping guide me for my little cousin who is now 7. As much as she didn’t want to go to her appointment, I explained to her that it will help her confidence and help her get straight A’s like her friends do. I also bribed her with In n Out burgers after the session :) Apparently that was convincing enough. After only a few sessions she was back to being a straight A student. She loves her tutors! She is so excited to get the one on one treatment now and she writes down questions on her little hello kitty notebook to ask her tutor when she goes to the center (she rarely asks me questions anymore). I know that a lot of times the teacher can be a great impact on how kids learn or don’t learn, especially since in her case the teacher played favorites, so the tutoring was the best thing we did!
The value and effort that a parent or in my case a cousin places on the childs education is the most important thing from a young age so the kids can actually BE, not just FEEL, up to par with the rest of the students in the classroom and excell in their future goals.
I HIGHLY recommend 5 star tutoring center only because i’ve seen it work and know it will work in cases like mine and/​or my cousin, which is usually the case. I believe that the tutoring has helped with many different aspects of her life, not just math and english but learning to speak on a one on one basis, respectful eye-​contact and how to stay quiet and listen, which is in most cases the key to life’s paths. I give 5 star tutoring center, *****

Great place for kids to get tutored. Very nice staff and very professional. Anyone looking into tutors should definetly try Five Star.
