One of the top gyms in SoCal. They house world class pros but have programs for casual folk. The best part is you don’t feel the hostile feeling you get in a lot of fight gyms. To top it off the facility is cleannn. Go workout, take your kids, make something of yourself haha!

I have been a fight fan since the 1970s. I’ve seen every sort if fight from Muy Thai in Asia to learning Gracie styled combat arms in the Army. I am a fight fan! I walked into the gym on Tuesday thinking I might want to sign up. There were a number of fighters training which is a good sign. The gym is not very big and during peak hours will get cramped. But they did have a real tiny cage in the back. There were seats for spectators so I sat down to observe as I normally do when I go to gyms for the first time. I spent decades in and around boxing gyms in Oxnard and I learned how to box in the same city. Im now a lot older but I love the fight game whether boxing or MMA! So I’m thinking this might be a decent place to stay in shape! Get back lost skills, mix it up! But After five minutes some guy comes up to me and says with a thick accent «we don’t want visitors.» He told me to leave. I was dressed in linen pants and nice ND alumni shirt. This shocked me! A gym that kicks out visitors? Was it because I’m black and everyone was Armenian? I can’t say. But they clearly didn’t want me there. But they want visitors? hence the guest seating. My impression was that this is a closed gym open to people that look like them. In all my years I can say I’ve experienced little racism in the fight game. But not here. Stay away from this gym. If they treated me like this imagine how they treat you when they get your money. Plus, I’ve known boxers and fighters of every race, creed and color and for the most part they are really nice and humble people. So imagine what kind of training you will receive at a place like this? Your better off looking for a gym with room to work out and class!

Great place to work out and learn how to fight. They boost your self confidence and there are not that many people who train as hard as the people at GFC. They have world class grapplers and strikers so its a great place for taking your game to the next level. Ronda Rousey and Manny Gamburyan train here too because of the world class coaches.
