This is the second time I’ve taken my 2001 Mazda Tribute to get a smog test from Mike. He has a friendly personality and a professional. It was super easy and convenient. Mike also gave me a great deal when I mentioned that I had a coupon. I highly recommend taking your vehicle here.

I brought my Acura TSX 2008 for a smoke test. In and out in no time. The owner Mike was super friendly and took care of my car as i expected it. I WILL RETURN!!! Thank God for this place. He was a blessing to me and my car. By the way, he can work on your was for tune ups, etc. He is very reasonable in his prices and does a good job. Thank you Mike!

My check engine light was on and they still tested my car and charged me. I was told that I needed a new catalytic converter AND probably a transmission but that they could do the repairs (My car is a 2006 and works fine). Turns out, most scrupulous smog check centers won’t even bother testing your car with an engine light on but GLENDALE TEST ONLY had no problem taking my money. I’ve read about these scams around LA and went here because of the decent Unilocal reviews. Now I’m pretty sure they are posting these reviews themselves. RIP OFF. BAH!

The owner tried charging me 50 bucks but after I showed him the advertised price as 31 and change he said oh yeah the total is 40. Other than trying to obviously take advantage of me it was done quickly and was reported to the DMV right away.

Every year I DREAD having to deal with the DMV beaurocracy/​registration, and having to get a smog-​check. I’ve gotta say, this is the first time I’ve actually ENJOYED getting a smog-​check! This is entirely due to Mike, the mechanic who did my check. This guy is a total character! Just really friendly, funny, and efficient! We chatted while he went through the whole routine, and he gave me a good deal, as well.

Mike should be up for sainthood. This guy worked tirelessly to get my car smogged. I, like many others, have engine light issues and he managed to get the light off and kept checking my car over the course of two weeks until it was reset. Then he did a retest for me, even though it was more than a month since the original (fail) test. The additional charge for the retest and all his checks? $ 8.25. And he was always pleasant and nice, even when he was busy. The station is among several little shops on a corner of Glendale and there are usually a lot of cars there, but there is usually little wait. I went here because I got a coupon off the internet, but this exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend.

Like many, I really don’t care for bureaucracy, California bureaucracy, and the DMV.
But I actually ENJOYED getting my smog-​check with Mike!
He is a genuinely nice guy, friendly, quick and easy. He got my smog-​check done fast with no drama (and no extra expense to me).
Plus we chatted a bit while he went through the routine, which eased the pain of an otherwise boring errand.
I’ll use him again for sure.

I’ve lived in Glendale for over 10 years and have had many transactions with this business. I have an older car, a 1994 mirage and «Mike» the owner has went out of his way numerous times to help me.
The prices are very affordable and the service he gives you is great. I know Mike personally and he is 100% legit, he never overcharges people and completely relies on repeat business so he treats his customers right. I have referred everyone I know to this place and everyone comes back saying thank you for telling me about this guy.
I strongly recommend this smog check station. Great location too, one block south of Los Feliz on Glendale Ave.
Ask for Mike, he will work with you. Great guy.

I’ve been taking my car here for years. The owner is a genuinely honest and friendly guy, and the staff is extremely helpful and answers all of my questions to my satisfaction. They always do a great job with my car and I’ve referred a lot of my friends there over the years. They all agree that this is the only place in Glendale that we prefer for our smog checks. Very quick & efficient service. Highly recommended!

Will not give Unilocal price advertised by store owner. Will charge $ 60 any way he can. Charged me $ 15 for a $ 2 gas cap he said I needed to buy to pass, after giving me a $ 15 «discount». STAY AWAY!

While the dreaded Smog Check only comes around every few years here in California it’s good that places like this exist. Just honest guys that do an honest job and get you on your way. The whole process took about 30 min and while the guy who set up my car was a little chatty, but I sometimes prefer that when I have some time to kill which I did. He gave me his point of view on Michael Jackson because the place is right down the block from where he is buried.
The guy who performed the test was also friendly and got everything done quickly and was on my way. I can’t imagine a Smog Check going any better.

Excellent, speedy customer service! The man assisting me was super helpful as I had an out of state vehicle. He took time to clearly explain what I was going to need to do at the DMV. He went above and beyond what he needed to do. I highly recommend this for your smog needs!
