I was referred to them by Franks Auto Repair. They flushed out my radiator a few weeks back. My car isn’t overheating and she’s in good shape. Good people and good service here.

I took my 2004 Sierra to Hal, when I was at wits end. I had taken it to multiple different shops just for them to want to either throw parts at it, or they said there was nothing wrong with it. I smelled antifreeze, and had an overheating at idle issue. Hal found that the radiator was 60% clogged, the heater hose connector was leaking, the radiator needed repair, and it needed a new thermostat. He fixed it all and did a power flush of the system and now the needle on the temp gauge doesn’t move. It was an amazing price for everything they did, and Hal was 100% honest with me. He showed me that there are still mechanics out there that care about you driving away with your vehicle with no worries. Instead of you being just another number.

The price I paid was outstanding. They didnt rip me off with the job that was done. Will be more likely to recommend this shop to friends and family. Guys were cool to bring my mom to the library nearby so she could stay cool so she wouldnt get heatstroke. They went above and beyond by doing that for my mother and was greatly appreciated.

Walter and team were great. I took my 2004VW in for a coolant leak. They thought it was just a hose so they took it all apart to find out it wasn’t the hose but a cracked plastic housing they were unable to replace. They said they’d put it all back together and recommended I take it to the dealer for repair. It was simply too much for them. Reason for the 5 star review: they didn’t charge me a dime. Thanks for your honesty and commitment to quality customer service. I’ll be back when I have just a radiator problem.

DONOTWASTEYOURMONEY Unless you want the world’s worst attitude and customer service. Your car to sit there even hours after the vehicle is done and a splash of antifreeze just enough to color the water green to appear like they actually added any then by all means come here and deal With Hals radiator on 51st Ave and Glendale and drive by on any given day and watch them flush antifreeze and toxins right into our city sewer systems like they do daily I’m in the process of reporting them to the epa and other state agencies also don’t believe me drive by they let radiator fluids and antifreeze fall right into our public sewers and all there runoff. These guys need to be put out of business.

I got ripped off with a capital«R»!!! My situation took place about 2 years ago. My radiator was leaking/overheating. I went in and was given a price and left my car to get worked on. The next day I was called and told the job would cost more. What started out as a quote for 380.00 ended up being 500.00. The best part is yet to come. The car was still overheating when I finally got to take it home. When I had the car checked by someone else apparently the same cracked radiator was never changed. I contacted BBB but nothing could be done because Hal’s never responded to BBB. PLEASEBECAREFUL and do your homework! Their motto is «Best Place in Town to Take a Leak», it should read«Best Place in Town to Get Ripped Off».

I went to Hal’s today with my daughter’s car needing replacement of her radiator. I found the employees all to be very competent, professional and friendly. They did the work in a timely fashion and the price was quite fair compared to what a dealer would have charged. I left with a lifetime warranty on the radiator and was pleased with their work.

My experience at Hal’s was great! We had had our radiator worked on several months earlier and within 2 months it was overheating again. When we brought it in to the shop we had already arranged for a rental vehicle because in the past a big repair had meant we were without a vehicle for several days– I was really surprised when they told me it would be done that day! We didn’t end up needing a rental at all! Also, the first man who looked at it showed me where it was leaking and told me where the problems were. The manager drove up a few minutes later, came straight to the van, looked at it and said the exact same thing. That made me feel like I was getting honest information because 2 guys said the same thing without talking to each other. I’m pretty sure we were getting ripped off at our old repair shop and it’s nice not to have people go in the back, confer and then give you their opinion. Later that day our van was back and both my husband and I agreed that it runs better than it has since we’ve owned it. If we ever need radiator work done again, we’ll be back here!
