This is seriously sad. I used to meet my wife here for lunch when she worked in Glendale. Best Chili burger ever. We were coming back from Anaheim on 12÷27÷14 and we were going to eat there. All the windows were papered up. Please say you’re just remodeling.

Lived in Glendale since 2005, and today(11÷5÷2013) was my first visit. Great hamburgers! Added bacon and avocado to my cheeseburger = excellent.

This was a great«hole in the wall» type of restaurant that I used to frequent often. My favorite item was the BLTA wrap. I didn’t realize they had closed until I read this article in the paper. It will soon become an Everest restaurant.

Saw that it appeared closed, searched the net, and found a building application permit online. From the permit request: «Recently, a building permit application was submitted to the City’s Building Division for 241 N. Central Ave. to allow a remodel including a new outdoor dining area, handicap accessible bathrooms and to convert the existing drive-thru into a loading area and to-go order waiting and pick up area. Currently, the plans are in the plan check process» at So it appears it will reopen!

Great breakfast options. Excellent pastrami sandwiches. Looks like it is being converted to a full service restaurant:

It’s been closed for two weeks. Paper covering all the windows. No idea if it’s closed for good, or remodeling. It was a cute place. Always smelled good. Cash only.

This place is a local favorite I remember coming here when I was in high shool. I love the carne asada garbage burrito it’s has everything in it and it come with the roasted tomato house made salsa. I love all of their breakfast burritos. They’re very flavorful and hearty. Also they have really good chili cheese fries. It’s really affordable and they also have beer.

I had been going here since high school(so for 8 or 9 yrs) and enjoy the food here. Their cheeseburger with fries are so good. Especially the seasoning on the fries! I always ask for extra in a to-go cup. Their chili cheese fries are good too. They take a while to get your order ready even when there is only one car in line. I just assume they’re making the food on the spot since my cheeseburgers taste fresh off the grill and my fries steaming hot. CON: They only accept cash :(

This is one of my most favorite burger places. Love that it is not a chain. Burgers are always good. I always get the hamburger which is always great. Onion rings are served very generously so I normally just get one order to share. I have had the chicken sandwich a few times & it was really good — chicken was moist. If I go for breakfast, pancakes are good. My Dad LOVES their huearvos rancheros. This is a CASHONLY place.

I know this place is more of a lunch/dinner spot but this is our go to breakfast joint. It’s just overall an excellent burger joint for all your breakfast needs lol. The pancakes are good and fluffy. Hash browns are always crunchy and tasty. Their french toast is hearty and delicious. Excellent coffee. Excellent service. What more do you need? lol. FYI, CASHONLY!

Not going to lie, I love this place. Probably shouldn’t… Not exactly healthy. That said, their specials always ROCK. I also really like their fries. You are not going to get a «gourmet» burger, you are going to get a damn good, greasy, fattening, gross but awesome burger. Just go get a salad for dinner… and maybe do a juice fast after.

$ 5 for a big, classic cheeseburger and a giant side of seasoned fries. No complaints here.

This is my go-to greasy spoon joint in Glendale for burgers & fries. To be honest, I’ve only ever gone through the drive-thru for my orders. I have no idea what the interior looks like at all. I usually get hungry-eyed when I end up here and I order too much. I’ve ordered the double bacon cheeseburger many times. It’s a good sized burger… Not super greasy, good taste on the patties, cheese is good. My only complaint is the bread doesn’t hold up. I know, I know… it’s a freakin double bacon cheeseburger. A half pound worth of patties. I don’t get it with onions, pickles or mustard and I do expect the bread to hold up. I also get the chili cheese fries here. Good stuff, nice taste. Ground beef, melted cheddar goodness. A little on the salty side but I’m good with that. I get the large if all i want is fries. The onion rings could be better. The batter isn’t the type I like on onion rings. It’s a little too thick. But i’ve ordered it on occasion. Service has always been decent. They cook to order so be prepared to wait at least 5 mins in the drive-thru lane. CASHONLY.

Sometimes you feel like a hamburger, and then you get a peek of some good-looking tacos, and well — it’s a Unilocalers prerogative to change his mind. With several types of tacos available(carne asade, fish, chicken), I ordered two(2) gorgeous, fried, machaca beef-filled tacos overflowing with lettuce, cheese, and salsa verde($ 2.50 each). Just look at these pics! Unfortunately, they looked better than they tasted. Bummer. The meat was okay, a bit stringy and could’ve been more tender. I have high standards for tacos, and wouldn’t order them again. Outdoor seating is available, and lots of free parking in their private lot. Service is very nice. Burgers, batter up, you’re up next!

I’ve ridden past this place on the bus everyday for the last several months and finally got around to walking down the street to give it a try. As a couple of the other Unilocalers noted this place only takes cash, and for some reason the cashier take phone calls while people are waiting in line to place their orders. I ordered one of their Cheeseburger Combos, and add chili and onions to the fries for $ 1. The fries were decent, an the chili was similar in flavor to Wienerschnitzel. The burger was a decent size with a healthy sized veggies. The presentation and taste reminded me of Bob’s Big Boy without the red relish. The burger was good, and the chili fries were decent. From the reviews a lot of Unilocalers seem to like their Breakfast Burritos, so I think maybe next time I’ll try breakfast.

I’m always in search for the next great Breakfast Burrito and well this ain’t one of them! This breakfast burrito was HORRIBLE in several ways and to charge $ 5 and change is a RIPOFF and I’ll tell you why… Breakfast Burrito — Bacon — OK tell me what’s wrong with this? first off I’ll start with… Ummm… Where’s the BACON!!! all I got were a few bacon bit sized pieces, eggs were flat /lifeless, hash browns BROWN the $#&%* potato’s /face-palm fail Salsa was mild but it did have some flavor, best thing on the plate was the jalapenos…

Chill little spot. Burgers are good, quesadilla is great, and they provide a gigantic serving of perfectly-seasoned french fries. Service is impersonal and the atmosphere is bland, so throw this on a list of places to take your buddies, not your dates. Unless your date is more like a buddy. But don’t date your buddies, that makes things weird. Duh. The whole cash only-thing(unless they changed it, I haven’t been there in over a year) is kind of a bummer, but well worth the stop by the ATM on the way.

Came here one day for lunch with a friend. We walked in to a pretty full restaurant, but managed to find a table once we ordered. Guess we were just missing the lunch rush climax. Gluttony + Hunger = Silly Decisions. She ordered the Original Burger combo with onion rings instead of fries. I ordered the Original Burger combo with chili cheese fries. Silly silly girls. What were we thinking?! So. Much. Food. The burger is very good. Even the tomato. At most burger joints, the tomato is just a color with a watery texture. Gross. I still feel that way, but at least this tomato had some proper flavor to it. And it was ripe, not force-ripened, but just a good natural ripening. The lettuce, the raw onion and the pickles are VERY generous. Of course, being me, I could have done without all the veg. Too much veg feels like it can water down a burger. Give me some charbroiled meat in a tasty bun with some cheese, tomato and ketchup. And yes, the bun was tasty and was a great texture for the burger. The place smells like charbroil goodness, and the burgers taste good. The seating and the tables are old, but call it well-used. Chili cheese fries were great. I couldn’t even bring myself to try the onion rings because I had so much to work through. So full. Seriously, if you go, get a burger each or something, and SHARE a side. I could’ve shared with three people easily!
