I’m a patient of a few years and overall have had pleasant experiences.
Good staff and Great doctor.
Only reason they did not receive 5 stars is because of the wait time.

The doctor came strongly recommended from a friend. My wife and I are recently married and were thrilled to find ourselves a permanent family doctor in LA.
Unfortunately we never got to meet the doctor herself. We just switched insurance to a carrier that they do not work with. We figured, no problem we’re happy to pay cash. Upon informing the receptionist, she began to be very rude to us. I can tolerate that a little rudeness. But after we sat down she began to bad mouth us to the other employees. She then also started to badger another employee about letting someone book an appointment without insurance. We became very uncomfortable and felt very unwelcome. All we wanted was to do standard checkups and pay cash.
Terrible experience.

Dr. Minasian is okay. However, there is a huge problem that needs to be addressed. A referral was submitted on my behalf (after jumping through some insurance hoops) and Susan at her office cancelled it without telling me (I found out from my medical group). I have an ongoing medical issue for over 2 years now and have had challenges getting the services I need. This is absolutely ridiculous and frustrating. Needless to say, I’m going elsewhere. Their 2 hour lunch time/​office closure is also ridiculous as that makes it hard to get in contact with them if you work the usual 9 – 5 hours.

This was our first visit to Dr. Minasian’s office for my daughter.
Dr. Hanriet is very courteous person and kind; she listens very carefully with patience to your requests and health issues and then recommend professional recommendations.
The service was amazing, her staff are very polite and professional and very caring! They accept us right on time, in comparison to other dermatologists/​doctors.
Process was very quick, easy, and painless. I am very happy with the results & would like to visit again if I have any health concerns/​worries.

My 1^st review ever.
I need to speak up. The series of terrible experiences with this doctor and her team compel me to speak.
Dr. Minasian’s office is pretty local to my family. The 1^st appointment with Dr. Minasian last year was decent. I asked questions. She answered them to the best of her ability. I had a terrible first impression with her front office/​supporting staff though.
That impression kept me from coming back. This year I decided to try this team and place again. I was open to re-​checking my first impression. Maybe they were just having a bad day.
This is what I am sure about NOW. Even after re-​checking my first impressions.
1) Parking is free though if you get squeamish in tight/​dark places take care with their lot. Maybe best for you to park on the sidewalk and walk.
2) Dr. Minasian is friendly. Here’s the rub: She’s very talkative about non-​medical topics so as much as it’s nice to be able to chat with her, it’s nicer to be able to talk to a doctor about what physically hurts and to be able to talk to one on time (the shortest wait time I’ve experienced is 30 mins! that’s long not short.). I’d rather have a chat about old television shows like In Living Color outside of office hours so that my appointment with Dr. Minasian does not run over someone else’s appointment and it can be productive towards my health.
3) The front office offers to call you regarding test results. Dr. Minasian will assure you that you will be contacted within 2 weeks regarding your tests unless something urgent comes up. I have never received a follow up call after exams (physicals included). And worse, even after following up myself, there are times when they inform me that the doctor still hasn’t reviewed my results.
4) Super long wait. It needs to be reiterated because time is precious. And at one point I even called a ½ hour before my appointment to see if Dr. Minasian was running late and I still ended up waiting 1 hour+.
5) During my appointment which I had waited over an hour for, she took a phone call. She did apologize and say that it was regarding a patient but really!!! Again, that’s why even though I agree with other reviewers that she is friendly, I have to say that that friendliness has shown up as being distracted, overbooked, and off-​topic. She started talking about a television show when I wanted to talk about my health.
*** Again I only revisited Dr. Minasian and her office team this year because she is so local to me. After this year’s visits, I have finally decided to close the book on this doctor and her team.
I am willing to drive farther for higher quality care.
We’re all doing our best to care for ourselves and we deserve to receive good care both by the doctors as well as their supporting staff.

Ok. I never write Unilocal reviews. Ever. But I just went to see Dr. Minasian and literally decided to download the Unilocal app just to write a review!
Have I died and gone to Heaven, because Dr. Minasian is the kindest, funniest, most thorough doctor I have ever encountered. I went in for a routine physical, assuming it would be your standard blood pressure and blood test, but Dr. Minasian ended up talking to me about my history back to when I was 12. She even asked about a breakout I had on my legs. After seeing 5 other doctors in LA, none of whom would give me an allergy blood test, nor refer me to an allergist, I was shocked in the best way possible when Hanriet told me she’d like to run a full food and respiratory allergy work up since we’re drawing blood anyway.
I could go on and on, but the point is, she was so interested and committed to helping me. You can tell she loves her patients. And I had to wait 2 months for my initial appt only because I was a new patient, but for a doctor so wonderful, I’d gladly wait 6 months! Heck, I feel like I’ve been waiting my whole life to meet her!
Best bedside manner too! I kind of want to hang out with her :) and her staff were very warm and friendly. I’m in love. #womancrushwednesday?

I am a new Patient and could not be happier with my assigned DR … all that talk about «you can not choose your DR with Obama care» well they choose well … I love my Dr she is amazing and so caring, takes her time and I could not be in better care .

I thought I had lost this doc after she moved from the Valley… thank god for google… This doc is the most compassionate and smartest woman I know. She helped me years ago with some issues I was having. Shes young and was not judgmental and she really showed you that she cared. I literally will follow her anywhere she goes :)

Dr Minasian was my doctor for a few years up until recently when I moved. She’s caring and her staff is very detail oriented. She remembers her patients and always treated me like a sister, not a patient when she gave medical advice. If I were to move back into town, she’d be the first doctor id call!

I found Dr Minasian’s reviews on Unilocal and Zocdoc, which lead me to choose her as my primary care physician.
Dr Minasian and her staff made me feel very comfortable during my first appointment with her. They were very professional and friendly, and their office was clean and convenient. I took care of all paperwork ahead of time, so the check-​in process was quick and easy.
Parking is easy and plentiful, plus all blood work is either done internally or within the building (Quest is across the hallway), which makes things extremely convenient.

I like Dr. Minasian for many reasons. She takes her time unlike other doctors who are in and out of the office before you know it. She is very sweet and caring. Office staff is also very nice. Blood work is done on site, and is very convenient. She even talks to you over the phone if needed. She is AWSOME!

This doctor is a Goddess! She always knows what is wrong with me right away. She is wise, smart, friendly, and kind hearted. (don’t let how young she looks fool you, she knows her stuff) Yet shows absolutely NO pretentions like most doctors do show. She treats you as a friend in a very professional manner. She is innovative and always knows the newest treatments. She will try to fit you in even if it is impossible. She sincerely cares about her patients. I have never seen such a good bedside manner as she presents. But it isn’t just that, she always knows what is wrong and how to treat it.
Her staff is amazing. Always friendly and never show signs of frustration. I have dealt closely with Lily who is amazing and I am pretty positive can walk on water, lol. She gets stuff done with the insurance company when I need assistance because my medical group is impossible. I love everyone in the office. The energy is so amazing. I cannot say enough good things about this Doctor.
I have an aversion to most doctors and have been treated poorly by doctors in the past. So I feel blessed to have found her.

I first began shadowing Dr. Minasian in 2010, where I realized she is possibly the best doctor I have ever met. I got to see her interact with all types of patients and she gave them all equally quality care. I was utterly impressed by her ability to communicate to young and old patients, and Spanish and Armenian speaking patients. She makes sure to spend an adequate amount of time with each patient and I can tell all her patients feel very comfortable at her office. After spending time shadowing her I decided that I had to make Dr. Minasian my primary doctor and I couldn’t be more pleased.

Possibly the worst overall experience I’ve ever had with a Doctor’s office.
Dr. Minasian herself is quite enjoyable. She’s perky and friendly with a smile and seems to care what concerns I had during the visit. It’s what happens after the appointment that is an absolute nightmare.
First, let’s use the words Insurance Fraud. I went in for a basic Physical Exam, which is 100% covered by my insurance. After logging in to my insurance site and speaking with them on the phone, I was informed that the doctor’s office charged over 25 different labs for bogus lab work that never existed. Specifics were recorded that were NEVER even mentioned and absolutely false. After calling the office to find out what was going on, I was told not to worry about those charges and claims; that they had a «contract» with that Lab and I wouldn’t be responsible for any of the bills. Ok… I get it, fine… but then, a separate set of Lab charges came up that I DID get a bill for, because the incompetent staff/​Doctor labeled all my lab work as «Medical» and not «preventive» like a physical exam should be. Now, for the last 2-​months+, I have been going back and forth with them to find out what needs to happen with those charges. Once again, tests were recorded that I never authorized… so it’s one thing if their faking it for Insurance money and I won’t be charged, but it’s a whole other issue when I’m actually expected to pay for these bogus charges.
I keep asking myself how in the world they’re still in business.
Another thing that was outrageously handled was my blood test results. They immediately had informed me to come in and redo one of them because the numbers had come back high on the first test. So I did. Then for another month after I re-​did the tests, they couldn’t locate the results, they didn’t even know which tests and why I re-​took. They asked me if it was a redo of one of the Bogus Insurance fraud tests, because the first results were abnormal??? uh, No! Wow, really? do I have issues with my blood test or not? I can’t believe I’m dealing with a 1^st-​world doctor’s office here.
so as of now… I’m still waiting for a paper copy of the redo bloodtests, and for them to correct all the charges that I’m being billed for. Why do i get the feeling that nothing will be resolved? :-/​
I would avoid this office for anyone who’s thinking of trying them out.

She’s amazing she knows what she’s talking about n makes me feel comfortable every time I go n I wouldn’t change her as my doctor !!! Her staff is very friendly n helpful I love going to see my doctor !!!

I have a hard time finding a caring female doctor until I found Dr. Minasian. I have been going to Dr. Minasian for sometimes now. I like her! She is professional, attentive, informative, caring and has a sense of humor. She has a nice new office in Glendale and a small one in Northridge for Wednesdays to accomodate her Valley patients. I’m glad Dr. Minasian is my internist and my primary physician. Being a DO (Doctor of Osteopathy) is a plus too. Also she practices and appreciates the Holistic Health for Mind, Body and Soul. Her staffs are pretty friendly. I often call the office about my necessary things and they are always helpful. Sometimes if they are busy, they might forget or put you on hold on the phone too long. Just call back and they will help you. 5 out of 5 in my opinion. Complete 5 Stars! I just wish they have more days in the Valley ;)

It’s really difficult for me to feel comfortable with doctors so I’ve been on a hunt for someone I feel comfortable with and BINGO! Dr. Minasian is AWESOME. She’s very attentive, personable, thorough, and never make you feel hurried. Her staff is also very pleasant. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a primary doctor!

Really knowledgeable and personable doctor in Minasian, D.O. (doctor of Osteopathic Medicine). Her being a D.O. is a bonus in my book, because the schooling is essentially the same as an MD., but with a greater emphasis on holistic health and a better understanding of the body’s bones, muscles and joints.
My last doctor closed her practice about a year ago and left me stranded… ill. dying in a dark alley. all alone. scared. and. hungry. k I wasn’t really dying, but I needed a new primary physician to get back on track. But for reals, I was hungry. After some due diligence, Dr. Minasian stood out.
Friendly staff; she spent a lot of time with me going over different options, a battleplan, took blood work on the spot (my last doctor always outsourced blood work), urine sample and set me up to see a dermatologist — the works. She really made me feel comfortable, and she understood my unique situation with some knowledge of the sympathetic nervous system. Anyway, see her. Get well. Health is everything.
