The people are friendly and welcoming. Great service and all the food tastes like home family cooking. I recommend trying the Bulgogi and any of the Tofu stews. We now have found a restaurant that we will visit every time we are in town!

This Korean restaurant is excellent in every respect. The food is stellar — the cold potato salad and spicy cucumbers and kimchi are great sides, and my sizzling stone pot bibimbap came out with the perfect heat to crisp the rice just like I enjoy it, with fresh egg and vegetables as well. The food is great but what really distinguishes this place is the extraordinary service. The servers are sweet, friendly, and attentive. Our drinks were never empty. They were extremely accommodating on additions or substitutions. Despite limited English, they were very invested in making certain our orders were exactly what we wanted, and they succeeded in that effort. The ambience is casual and relaxed, but that fits here. You feel like you’re at home with mom’s home cooked comfort food, Korean style. I would come back here any time, and recommend it to any of my friends.

The service is horrible. I hope this doesn’t reflect on all the servers there– only one particular waitress, who seems to have been there for years. I remember why we don’t go there– this same exact server who was rude years ago, is still rude as ever. Maybe because we are Korean, she doesn’t feel the need to be nice or accommodating. Her answers are snarky. We asked if they take American Express. Instead of a simple no, she responds with a snarky remark that no Korean businesses take American Express. It’s a simple yes or no question. The one server I am referring to has short hair. During our visit, there were 2 middle aged servers– one with short hair, the other with long hair that was tied in a ponytail. The other server with a pony tail was sweet. I hope this short hair waitress is the owner because her attitude is appalling and disgraceful.

sorry I love tofu &BBQ. It fell short for me. The banchan(side dishes) were just really bad. First of all the side dishes portions were the smallest portions I have ever had at any Korean Restaurant. I have been to at least over a dozen different Korean Restaurants in my life. The portion size was what seemed to me like a tablespoon worth of food. So laughable. It really is comical. Also the kimchi did not taste fresh. The side dishes in general did not taste fresh. I give an extra star for service. The waitress seemed very nice and attentive. The soon-tofu thank goodness was good. If they would give a normal size of banchan and if the banchan was FRESH I have never had such bad banchan. I would be a regular, but given the bad side dishes and laughable portion size it sucks that I will not be returning. If they could just get it right and be reasonable with their sizes they could hit a home run mainly because I find it hard getting good service at asian restaurants.

The food was great. I got the seafood tofu and beef ribs combo and a bottle of soju *wohoo. The seafood combo was tasty. Unlike some places where it was like water. The service was perfect. No complaints. Then again, I had 4 shots of soju before the end of our visit.

Very good seafood tofu stew. It was spicy, satisfying and yummy. I didn’t try the bbq, but if you need a tofu fix and live near Glendale, this might be your place.

Vegetable tofu stew and a sizzling plate of bulgogi with 6 different sides or maybe 7. It was more than satisfying and every bit of it was great. I wish the capacity of my belly is as big as what my eyes intend to consume. I will definitely be back again.

My friend and I went there for dinner on Thursday night around 8pm, and it was totally empty. We were the only guests at that moment. We both ordered soon dofu and we thought that was tasteless. My friend said she goes there once in a while, and order to go, but she never had any trouble before. She also claimed that her rice tasted like mold. Mine was ok so it could be partially contaminated… anyway not impressive at all. All of the side dishes were fine though. To be honest, I wouldn’t come back again unless my friend suggests going, but if that would be the case, I would beg her to go somewhere else.

If my boyfriend could marry a Korean restaurant, it would probably be this one. The servers know him by sight now because he visits this place relatively often. He orders salmon teriyaki & seafood tofu soup. Here’s the thing — in as much as I love my boyfriend, I can’t bring myself to love the place. The food and service were both good, but nothing to write home about.

in 6 weeks I came here twice. The first time I ordered the Lunch Combo with Soybean Tofu Stew and Bulgogi($ 12). It was really good. The tofu was silky with lots of flavor and the bulgogi was seasoned perfectly. I came back again and I got the Seafood Tofu Stew with Salmon Teriyaki($ 13) — Everything tasted great except the the dry, dark orange colored, fishy tasting salmon. At all cost, I will clearly avoid any salmon dish they serve here. Otherwise, I really liked the food. Service was good and the place was very clean.

Service: Both of the waitresses were nice. However, the lady with short hair was really polite. Over all, service was very decent. I have had worse services at other Korean restaurants. One more thing, they give you an apron so you can avoid food splatter on your clothes. Food: we ordered kim chi tofu soup with beef and chicken teriyaki. Tofu soup was good, I think it’s better than BCD’s. The chicken teriyaki was a little too sweet. The side dishes were okay. I only enjoyed the kim chi and fish cakes.

Great alternative to korea town traffic & drive. In fact, my family and friends think the tofu soup is better here than BCD’s. Owner is attentive and overall food is good.

This was a convenient location and place for a friend and I to meet at. The atmosphere is a bit sterile and I’ve definitely had better Korean food. The banchan was limited and not that great. My buddy and I split the bulgogi and the galbi. Both were ok and got the job done in terms of filling us up. Service was nice one minute and not as nice the next. Nothing was awful, but I would not come here again.

I order from here on occasion just because I usually go to BCD for my soon dubu fix, however, when I’m feeling ick and don’t want to drive too far, this place more than meets my expectations! The prices are a little much, but bearable. I love the kimichi soon dubu spicy as it hits the spot pretty well each time. I got their combo with the salmon teriyaki and the salmon was a little lacking in seasoning. I think they think that it should all come from the sauce, but the fish should be seasoned as well. Overall, I enjoy coming here when I can’t get to BCD. The waitresses are Korean so if you can speak it, it’s usually a plus especially when you’re not in Ktown. I’ll be back! :)

Greeted as you walk in, had a party of six. Seated us right away. But, it was weird because after we ordered, the lady seemed irritated of the fact that I kept repeating myself and ordering different variations. They filled up water in a timely manner and swapped out our side dishes. But, overall it thought the food was okay. I had the chicken bowl and it was practically drenched in teriyaki sauce, which was not what I liked. The rest of my family had sizzling plates and tofu soup. It seemed to be okay but they put WAY too much tofu in the soup. It was practically 85% tofu. I probably wouldn’t return, but it was quick as a meal.

Wow this is honestly better than Kim’s Kitchen(sorry) but I’m Korean and my grandma knows how to make naengmyeon(cold noodle soup) and this place made it pretty authentic:) It was served in this slushy delicious cold soup with refreshing toppings, perfect for the summer and I came in for the lunch special and I got the cold soup and bulgogi for $ 12, which in my book is an awesome deal! The portions will fill you up :) And I have had their tofu soup before and it was on point. The waitress was sweet to me and the food was so delicious, you would want to come back the next day! Good 5⁄5 Service 5⁄5 Cleanliness 5⁄5

Service: The staff is rude and not friendly. We’ve been here several times hoping that maybe their service would improve, but that certainly wasn’t the case. Food: They serve you complimentary sides before your order comes out; however, each time we come they are missing one or two options. We’ve asked them why it’s different each time, and they assert that it IS the same every time — obviously not. In terms of their entrees, good stuff but sadly the lack of consistency with the quality and portions of the food wouldn’t satisfy someone who appreciates a good Korean restaurant. Food portions: First time we ordered a bulgogi combo and the portion filled their skillet about 2 inches high(an awesome standard amount compared to other Korean restaurants). Last time we ordered it, it was about half an inch high. Hopefully that gives you guys a good idea — that’s not even half the servings they gave us initially. It doesn’t help that when we addressed it with them, they said that’s how much they serve all the time. Obviously not. Oh plus it’s $ 14.00. Rip off. Advice: Don’t go here and head over to a Korean place with better reviews. Their food quality and portions will most likely be more consistent than this place. And I’m sure they’ll have better service. We gave this place a chance several times, so save yourself your time and money and get better Korean food(easily) somewhere else. Cheers!

Good spot for Korean food if you’re in Glendale. Nice location, good clean inside, a TV playing Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, and of course, very friendly Korean people working here. Get the soon tofu combinations, great value. I ordered the dumpling soon tofu stew which is good and hearty, and also salmon teriyaki for the combination. They offer a pretty standard mix of korean BBQ dishes, stews, plus udon and tempura. They also have naengmyun cold noodles, just like my grandmother used to make for me. A couple of other nice perks from this place: i) plenty of side dishes(banchan), and if you run out just ask for more, ii) choice of white or black(mixed grain) rice, and iii) free porridge at the end(using the crispy charred rice bits from your stew pots). I’m sure you can find better spots in Ktown, but this place has decent value and if you’re in the area, well its not a bad option.

TIP: There are no hours posted on their page so CALLBEFOREYOUGO! We called at 9:20pm to ask what time they close and the lady told us 9:30pm, Darn! She was nice and told us to come by anyways… YAY! She actually waited for us outside the door and had the table set up :) Ordered: *Spicy Pork– Bleh! The pork was MUSHY!(See pic). It reminded me of BCD. Sorry, not a fan… I want my meat with a bit of a chew, especially pork. It didn’t taste right and all that sauce didn’t help either. Mushy Mushy! *Oyster Tofu Soup– the soup was tasty and had about 3 – 4 small oysters. The tofu was alright. I prefer soft tofu. These were a lil firm and came in small cubes. *Banchans– kimchi, turnip, potato/carrot, broccoli and bean sprouts. *Cabbage slaw was yummy. Service was good and the ladies were friendly. Drinks and banchans were refilled without having to ask. Before we walked out, the lady told us to call the next time we come, which goes back to my TIP… CALLBEFOREYOUGO! I guess they open the restaurant whenever they feel like it…
