I want to give Joanns a better rating but I’m giving it 2 stars because of the sewing department. The lady who works there with the long hair (don’t know her name) is wonderful. Very pleasant and great attitude, she answers all my questions without just trying to «sell» me the top of the line machine. My problem is Martha. She is possibly the rudest human being I’ve ever met! My first encounter with her was when I went in to buy a Viking sewing machine. Right off the bat she was telling me I «Needed» the top of the line $ 10k machine. (I’m a beginner sewer, I didn’t «need» that machine) she went on to tell me that it was the machine she uses… But she didn’t even know how to work it when she was demonstrating it. She was very pushy and made me feel uncomfortable. I left and came back and bought the perfect machine for me from the lady with the long hair. … Another time I was there I saw her degrade and humiliate a young man who was just standing in the area doing nothing wrong. The father and Martha got into a yelling match, were she cursed and and was just down right awful! I couldn’t believe what I had just witnessed.
Then today while I was there was the kicker that made me get on Unilocal to write a review and I plan on finding their corporate office # to make a formal complaint. My mother in law and I were picking up some craft stuff and I stopped by the sewing machine dept to check the prices on their bobbins. Martha again was there doing a demonstration. We were minding our own business when Martha yelled out at us that she was closed and that she was off the clock. Apparently they close earlier than the actual store. I said «Ok thank you» turned around and kept looking at the merchandise. At the same time another woman walked Through the isle and was looking at the singer machines and asked if she could ask her a question. Martha said «No, I just said I’m off the clock» the other woman tried to ask her again and Martha started yelling saying «What part of ‘I’m closed’ do you all not understand! My register is closed you can’t buy anything»
She is unbelievably rude. How she still works there is beyond me! I will never do business with her ever!

Several friends raved about how much fun JoAnn’s store is so naturally I had to check it out. I don’t sew and I am not particularly gifted at crafts, but nonetheless I enjoyed browsing. And this would be the place to go if I am going to start. Plus you don’t have to craft to enjoy the home décor section. I bought a couple journals, pretty stationery and pens. They have some sport team fleeces like Packers, Broncos, Lakers. Sadly, no NY Mets. I also like they have frequent sales.

I was there to purchase a sawing machine at 10:30 and no body to help me for 15 min until one of the Employe said the lady who is in that department is on a break, and we can’t ring u up.
That’s when a manager came up and said this is a different department and the lady just ran to the bank and will be back soon.
And when I asked them how can the cash register lady leave her job and go to the bank, they all said we have nothing to do with this department, without tinkling of that this is in the same store.
So this store should have different store hours and for each department and maybe for each isle.

This was my best experience shopping for fabric! I have no idea what I’m doing but the best receptionist ever helped me! (Penny) she not only told me I got the wrong needles and thread but she went and got me them. On top of that, she helped me with the coupons that took my phone to forever to load. I will come here again if i ever need pillow products!

Was just here with my 15 year old son and my husband. As I was looking at patterns I heard a woman say“this is not a library. I’m trying to close here and you can’t just lounge around”, I turned my head as she was speaking to see what was going on and noticed that an older woman with glasses was talking to my son who was walking down an isle by the sewing machines. My husband asked her why she was talking to our son that way and accusing him of lounging around when all he was doing was walking by and then let out a couple of curse words. The woman insisted that my son had been lounging around the sewing machine area, a lie because my son had been standing next to me just seconds before he decided to walk past an isle by the sewing machines. My son who is gay mentioned that the woman had been eyeing him when he was standing next to me and appeared to not like him, apparently this woman doesn’t like gay people walking down the isles in the sewing machine department. Will never set foot in this store again.

I’ve literally come here 4 days straight at some point for a project and every experience I’ve had here has been great. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The store itself used to be an Albertsons, so it’s very large. Their selection of ribbon (my favorite) is immense and they also have fabric galore. The best part are the online coupons! (Always be sure to check those out and sign up for their texts) It makes checkout easy on the wallet (:

This Jo-​Ann fabrics store is positively DELIGHTFUL. Parking is plentiful, the store is clean, well stocked and also well organized, plus the employees are exceedingly friendly and helpful. I had been dreading my craft store errand, and Jo-​Ann managed to make it fun. There will certainly be more pom poms and puffy paints in my future.

I love Jo-Ann’s — it has more options than Michaels, when you are crafting it is a fabulous store — what store is perfect — none — of course if you have lots of options it will be busy — and you will have to wait — the other opportunity is that is not downtown in the nasty messy fabric district — I think people should be more grateful of what is available verse just looking to complain about stupid things — things that are not life threatening. It is clean and has tons of items to ponder for your next fun project– life is for laughter not finding fault

This is great store. But only two stars because when you have a question there is no one around to help you. Please hire some sales people.

Very nice store to explore and let your creativity lead you, today I did shopping here and i was surprised to get a good amount of money off from my purchase, the guy on register helped me to get a good deal of online coupons, I really appreciate it I could just pay and go, it was nice to be informed correctly of online deal and he made my shopping much more fun. Thanks team I love this place.

Ok I usually have really nice experiences but this one girl was just so damn lazy. Like I asked her for help on finding something because I couldn’t find it and she was like did you look underneath? I’m like yeah I looked everywhere and it said they had it in store online. Then I asked if she get check the stock list and she said they can’t do that. And I asked her if someone could help me look and then she like said no. Like girl, isn’t this your job?! And mind you it wasn’t even busy. I was literally the only person in the store. She told me to look through the boxes on top cause. I asked if she could show me and she said she can’t cause they can’t reach them. Like, there’s step stools in the store use them. Then she was suggested me look in other stores. I was over her so I had to look for it myself. Like she was giving all the excuses she had just so that she didn’t have to walk a couple feet away and help a customer find something and actually do her job.

The better location compared to other Joanns. This place is HUGE and their selection of fabrics is pretty good in addition to the crafts that most Joanns don’t even have the room for. If Michael’s and Joanns had a love child, this would be the beautiful result.
Minus a star because 2 of the 3 times I’ve come to this location, they could not locate merchandise i specifically came to get even though their website said they had plenty in stock. The first time the site claimed they had 9 items in stock, the second time it said 14. I get there, see nothing, ask for assistance, and the younger workers I interacted with seem to lack the ability to problem solve. Both times i felt as if they were just attempting to appear as if they’re looking, but were really hoping I’d say «nvm, i don’t need it after all. You have clearly proven to me that you have moved mountains to try and locate these items by shifting items back and forth in front of me. Thanks for clearly trying though.» It was a bit insulting to be honest.
They claim their systems don’t update for 24 hours, but to have this happen twice and with the quantity listed, either their systems are completely unreliable, or their employees are stealing. Hate to see what happens when their store does their annual inventory.

Tidy and organized! Love going here! I always have a couple coupons saved up, saving me a good amount of money :) either ask for their mailing subscription or subscribe online (I have both, double the coupons: D)

This Jo-​Ann is A-​OK. Sometimes the staff is hit or miss. I’ve had outright rude to pretty friendly. I appreciate the large parking lot. The fabric selection is OK.
Don’t even try to call ahead to find out if they have something in stock — you’ll lose about 30+ minutes of your life on hold.

First time here:
We were shopping for art supplies. We spent a couple hours searching for stuff and thangs. I asked for assistance in the clearance aisle about certain yarn. The manager could’ve cared less. She said, «If there’s no clearance tag, it’s not on clearance. I dont know why these are here. They must’ve been just thrown here.» OK yeah but why and if so, then fix it.
The only saving grace this store had was when we were ready to check out, the cashier mention it was the last day for coupons on their website. Using our phones, we saved about $ 10each. I didn’t get the lady’s name but thank you. Otherwise, the service would’ve had a single star.

Friendliest and most helpful craft store staff ever! Organized. They have a motor scooter for handicap to use, with handicap parking right at the front by the door. Came on a Friday night which wasn’t completely empty but wasn’t packed.
Week of cyber Monday week 40% off is awesome. January has some awesome 40%-60% off regular priced items (you can pull the coupon up via your cell phone from their website).
Tons of stuff. Tons of projects. They have a table area with magazines you can sit and look through. Apparently you can book the table for meetups for free if it doesn’t interfere with scheduled classes. There was a sewing class being conducted when I scootered by.
Handicap Friendly — It is but its also small aisle space. I was lucky my caregiver was by me to help grab things.

Friendly staff. Great selection. Very fun store if you’re a creative person. Plenty of parking. Clean layout and easy to find everything. They even have sewing classes with sewing machines at certain times.
Highly recommend if you have an arts and crafts project you’re working on. Or if you have kids that you want to be a little more creative and a little less of a smart phone zombie.

I’m usually a Hobby Lobby shopper but I really needed some last minute supplies on a Sunday.
Issue 1: A lady in the sewing dept asked if she could help me with anything & I said yes, I’m looking for heavy duty thread. She goes ok, that would be over there. I said, ok… do you know an aisle, I don’t sew? She walked to the main aisle & pointed. I said, ooook I guess I’ll look for it myself. She then proceeds to tell me that she doesn’t work there. What? As I continue shopping, she remained in the sewing dept helping people.
Issue 2: Walked up to the cutting counter & said I need a yard & a ½ of this. She goes you have to take a number, do you have a number? Oh no, where can I get one? She goes I’ll get it for you. She hands me 38, walks over to the microphone & calls out number 38. I started laughing I was like what was the point of that?!
Felt like I lost brain cells shopping here.

I shop at Joann’s very often for my small business. While I love how big this location is and the friendliness of SOME of
their staff, I totally dislike the irritating attitude they carry when you want to use multiple coupons or competitor coupons. It’s like they intentionally don’t train their workers on how to punch those coupons in the register so that they’ll have to call the manager. It becomes soooooo complicated and you end up waiting at the register so much longer than necessary. Then they mistakenly tell you all the coupons have been applied and they haven’t! Because I’m sometimes spending hundreds of dollars, each coupon counts! It’s been so frustrating. I hope this changes soon.

One star for their rude cashier. Right when I went to the register she did not greet me. I asked how much something was, ended up having the wrong price so I said okay never mind I don’t want it. But she didn’t hear and continued scanning my other items. At the end I said sorry I didn’t want this, she rolled her eyes and pushed the box away cancelled everything and re scanned the items I did want.
I had a 30% off coupon and it wasn’t scanning, (not that it wasn’t scanning she was just aggravated) and put my phone back down on the counter pretty hard and said its not scanning can you make it bigger. I said its from the website I can’t, she tried it again and it scanned. She asked me if I needed a bag I said yes. She sighed really heavy and put my items in the bag, then she gave me my change 57 cents in nickels and pennies. I clearly saw quarters but you know what, money is money.

When you come here, always be sure to look online for COUPONS! they always have some kind of special going on.
I was able to receive 40% off one item and 30% the rest of my stuff. What a deal. Not kidding. Their selection for stuff is amazing. Some items can be a bit over priced and can be found else where for less the price, but its a great store. I never seen a male in here. Lol. Only women.
Right when you walk in, they have scented pine cones so the place is very refreshing to walk into.
