Margaret M Berkey, DDS

We were riding the elevator following an appointment with my husband’s cardiologist. Another passenger mentioned that he had just seen his dentist, Dr. Margaret Berkey. He absolutely raved about her and added that her schedule fills up fast because she is so popular.
He was right — we’ve seen Dr. Berkey several times in the past few years and she is extremely competent and considerate. She replaced a large composite filling for me this morning and even with x-​rays, the cost was about a third of what I expected. We pay cash, so it’s a relief to be under the care of an honest professional like Dr. Berkey.

Dr. Berkey takes care of a few members of my family.
Very honest and appropriately conservative in her diagnosis — there is only a finite amount of work that can be done per tooth. She diagnosis for your long-​term health.
I would recommend her if you’re looking to only have the necessary work done, allowing potential problems that have potential to make a turn for the better pan out.

She is very respectful. I finally found a Dentist whom I can trust.

My boss, who lives on the Westside, referred me to Dr. Berkey, and she told me that she is willing to drive all the way from the Westside to Glendale because not only is Dr. Berkey a competent dentist but that she will not try to sell you on services you don’t need.
After my first visit, I was happy. I told Dr. Berkey about how my previous dentist tried to get me to remove my silver fillings and start Invisalign, and Dr. Berkey informed me that both procedures were not necessary for me. She then cleaned my teeth herself (she does not have a hygienist or receptionist) before showing me a floss technique that does not require floss. When she was finished, she gave me a lot of free samples.
Parking here is easy. I did street parking for free, and I had no problems. Dr. Berkey also does not make you wait. She will see you at your scheduled time.
Another thing that I really appreciated about Dr. Berkey is how honest she was with billing. In the past, I received invoices from my insurance company, and there would be several lines of things billed that I did not recognize. I thought this was normal. After I received my insurance bill from Dr. Berkey there were only two lines – Checkup and cleaning!
I’m slightly bummed that I was not aware in the past of how shady some dentists can be until Dr. Berkey showed me the light. She is kind, thorough, and honest. I wish more people were like her.

Best dentist I’ve ever had. So relaxing and calming. I am someone who hated and feared dentists, but I feel completely OK about going in for checkups. She’s very gentle and takes excellent care of you.

My wife and I have seen Dr Berkey for years. As I am a long time professor, I would give her a grade of A+++++++ !! She is an excellent dentist and extremely honest.

Dr. Margaret Berkey is amazing.
Don’t worry about feeling apprehensive cuz she will make sure you are well taken care of… no unnecessary pain involved.
Parking is easy, street and multi-​level garage available.
Her dental office/​practice is small but then again it’s not you are going there to see here work on 8 ppl at once :)
Staff is always friendly, phone calls always returned, appointments held and reminders sent out… it’s all a fabulous experience!!!
She is pleasant while you are in the chair and will explain all the details that you need to know and skip the ones that might make you woozy.
As John Mayer plays in the background, she remembers details about previous visits, asking about family, work, school & personal life… Dr. Berkey has one retentive brain :)
Definitely someone that I would highly recommend! I practically fall asleep in the chair… truth be told :)
