Great doctor! I had both of my children delivered under his caring care. Nowadays you can hardly find any doctors like him who actually spend time to listen and emphatize with your needs. He has great bed side manner and knows how to calm you in a distressed situations. My first pregnancy was emergency c-​section where if it wasn’t for the doctor I would have possibly passed out from my anxiety and worry. He provided the needed reassurance to both myself and husband. He knows how to relate to people and translate medical knowledge to ordinary language that anyone can understand. I truly believe he is God sent !! I not only had my babies delivered by him, I also had a medical surgery performed. He is timely, and he sure knows is craft. His passion and knowledge for his work transcends to every aspect of his professionalism and relation with others. His office in glendale is spectacular! His staff is very helpful, caring and personable. I have never waited more than 10 minutes for any appointment and always deliver messages to the doctor promptly. They always take good care of me and make sure
needs are met. Dr Tahery is the best doctor and I thank him for all the care he has shown and made us have a great experience with birth !! God bless you Dr Tahery and your staff!

I was referred here by another patient so I cannot complain about the actual bedside manner. He was kind and helpful. But no real explanation of what was going on, or follow through. I went in for my annual exam which is covered by my HD PPO. I went in and because I had a minor issue, they weren’t able to complete my exam but still charged me $ 100. I had to come back 2 weeks later for another visit. At which time they were supposed to remove a mole for me in addition to completing my exam. They were not prepared for the mole removal and I was told they would have to reschedule that. Probably because they want to charge another office visit. I just didn’t feel I could trust him or the healthcare plan. I paid every time I went, no billing issue. More than I should have probably. I paid $ 450 already! It’s been over a year and I just now received a bill for another $ 600? Based on what I have read here I doubt they even billed my insurance correctly. I will not pay this bill without verifying every single penny with my insurance company. I want a breakdown of my bill sent to me before I give them a dime more.

Two significant, common threads that are very apparent throughout the reviews are what a huge, positive difference and impact Dr. Tahery makes on the quality of his patients’ lives/​health, and his great ability to connect with his patients so warmly and attentively.
He is a true expert in his field –an extremely knowledgeable medical professional, as well as a fantastic, very experienced surgeon. Whatever comes up, you just feel like «he’s got it». Caring, calming, confident, decisive, kind –he is genuinely so nice and wants to help.
Everyone in his office is very reliable and sweet. Many are long-​time staff and have worked with Dr. Tahery for many years (which also says a lot). It’s always nice to see their familiar faces each visit, and to know that everyone is committed to providing the best care for their patients.
So happy to have Dr. Tahery as my doctor. I trust him and have no hesitations in highly recommending him as an excellent gynecologist/​surgeon. He is the very best.

I dont know about you but I would NOT TRUST my Mom with this guy. Here’s why: Mom
was preparing for 2 months for her surgery so as the whole family for weeks to be there for her until the day before her surgery to just find out Tahery wants to cancel the surgery just because he didn’t do his homework on time. There are doctors, then there is this condescending fool calling himself a doctor. This idiot, no disrespect to all the idiots, Indirectly canceled our surgery on mom on the last second with a BS excuse, exactly day before her surgery by taking absolutely no responsibility of his incompetence practice and lack of respect for people’s time and has the audacity to yell at us and giving us ultimatum to make decision on last minute. When I called him and asked for an explanation to have a man to man conversation by expressing my concerns and learn more about the situation, he instead Like a broken record, he started keep repeating the same Bs over and over without a clear explanation why he waited to eve of the surgery to let us know why he can’t move forward with it and more tests needed. He takes us as idiots, saying I can do surgery if you sign a consent, basically covering his basis if and when he screws up. Mom has been in pain for months waiting for this surgery and been to ER twice due to infection during that time. I personally made sure all the test he was requested was done and submitted on time. Then this fool, try to cover his basis at the last minute with dodging the question and raising his voice on me?
You know exactly who I am and who my mom is if you are reading this Michael, shame on you.
i had a chance to read his bad reviews to exactly relate our experience with his bad bedside manners of him and immature boy-​like manners he demonstrated in our few minutes conversation when we demanded why he waited to the last day after all the tests and results which was done on time by mom weeks in advanced to let us know there is risk, when I asked for explanation he started lashing out and yelling like a 4 year old. Who the hell do you think you are?! Grow up boy! Contact me when you grow a beard and can handle conversation instead of being defensive for your short comings and ask me how i can help you to work on your anger management so learn to treat people with respect.
This is not Iran buddy that you yell at people who came to for help! I deal with arrogant clowns like you every single day.
Long story short: We decided to cancel our appointment right on the spot and not TRUST MY MOM WITH A boy who cant control his temper, how anyone can trust him with a knife right?!
Glad to take our business somewhere where we can be treated with respect by who we can trust our mom’s health with.
In the mean time «doctor» maybe it’s time for you to learn to be more sympathetic with your patients and their families who trust their loved ones life with you, at least try to fake it that you care like some doctors. And don’t worry money will follow buddy, don’t worry about it, honestly.
I generally have a lot of respect for doctors, but This guy is joke and the sad part is he knows it too and he tries too hard to defend himself and his insecurities, just read his replies to bad reviews of how bad he is trying. I learned that first hand when I confronted him directly and he went to defensive mode yelling at me «YOU ARE NOT MY PATIENT YOU ARE NOT PATIENT».
Fool, our loved one is your patient and we are here to protect her from disrespectful idiots like you.
If you are reading this, perhaps laughing, do yourself a favor and find a doctor who you can trust yourself and your loved ones with, there are good ones out there which not only they are professional and respectful but also you can save time and your dignity!

I don’t know how he got the good reviews. His opinions and diagnosis was so shocking to myself and to other OBVYNs! Thank god I went elsewhere for a second opinion.

Great Doctor— TERRIBLE front desk. Not only did they lie and say the Dr. was in-​network with my insurance, they are all over the place and not organized. I have never had an experience like this. They have no consideration for their patients and could care less. After my 3^rd treatment they told me that the Dr. was not in-​network with my insurance and that I would have to pay for my visits in full. That’s thousands of dollars! The real kicker, I ASKED THEM TWICE TO VERIFY BEFORE MY INITAL APPOINTMENT AND THEY SAW MY INSURANCE CARD! Honestly, so disappointed that they would take advantage of people while in the middle of receiving treatment.
Hate to complain because Dr. Tahery is patient and listens. A wonderful and intelligent resource.
He really needs to retrain his staff or hire new completely new receptionist staff.

I’ve been suffering with my hormones for 2 years. One of my friends suggested to see Dr Michael Tahery… OMG…Dr. Tahery changed my life. He is an amazing professional doctor, he helped me get rid of my symptoms. Since I started his treatment, I’m back to be myself. Thank you soooooo much Dr Tahery you’ve change my life… I’m very grateful to you.

Before choosing Dr. Tahery I’ve gone to 4 different obgyn for consultation. After my first visit with him I knew I found the right doctor. He always takes his time and never tries to rush out, answers all our questions and explains every question with great detail. My husband and I are expecting our first child and can’t ask for a better doctor. He is outstanding in his field and so is his staff, specially Arpi and Annette, the entire staff is great.

DR. C-​SECTION! If you want to be BULLIED into having a C-​Section then definitely go see Dr. Tahery. When you’re there, ask him if he thinks he’s GOD, see how he answers you. He doesn’t really care what you think or what you want. You might as well tear up your birth plan, because it won’t apply. He literally got into an argument with me, yelling and screaming in front of my wife while she was laying in bed in the delivery room. Picture that. The guy has no respect for anyone and he has no class. Any other doctor would have done a better job than him. I know because this is my 3^rd child. So I know what I’m talking about. Shame on Cedar Sinai for having a horrible doctor like this. He gives them a very bad name. Don’t take a chance with this guy. Find a doctor that cares about you and not your check book. Cannot give 0 stars so i have only 1. Terrible bed side manner… rushes you like he doesnt have time and tried to «bully» me into getting an IUD after I said no. They also charge $ 350 for a new patient visit, completly unacceptable, especially for only being there for an hour. Never again

I give Dr. Tahery 5 stars, because he is a truly personal and caring Doctor. We had an incident where I was terribly in distress and Doctor Tahery had personally called the other Doctor and called back within minutes to relieve my distress, calm my nerves and assure me everything will be okay. I will forever be thankful for that. I wish I would have known of him for my first child. He is calm and reassuring in the delivery room. His bedside manner is amazing. In my honest opinion dr. Tahery is a kind and very knowledgeable Doctor. He always made sure to ask about my well being and listened. I found this wonderful, as my previous Doctor never bothered. The girls at the front desk are absolutely amazing and every time I called with a question or concern they sent the message to dr. Tahery and got a call back within 30 minutes (the longest). Never waited more than 15 minutes for my appointment. Also, always got an appointment within a day or two from calling. I have found my forever Doctor. Thank you for all your care!

I and my daughter have been going to Dr. Tahery for years.
You are provided with amazing friendly and professional, caring staff and Dr. You will not be disappointed, but I shock compared to other doctors in his field.
He is very thorough and finds the answers other doctors could not! Time and time again.
I travel far but worth every mile, to get the best care… and allows me to care for my family in top shape.

Dr. Tahery is the best. Sorry, but I need to address one of the lower rating reviews with regards to the website. It is 2015, if you have a smartphone (which almost everyone does) then you have the means to find information and honestly, if it is a new doctor one should consider doing their own research in addition to a referral. A simple Google search would have lead to Unilocal,which would in turn have listed the correct information. I ALMOST had a similar incident with a general practitioner. However, when I made the appointment I confirmed the address… :?
As far as their staff, they are on it. They always confirm whether or not I am covered for certain services and tell me how much out of pocket I will pay. They are very friendly and personable. He has two very successful locations so he must be doing something right and the success of an employer relies on how good the staff is and if the staff is treated well by the employer they take care of the clients.
I go to both locations. Glendale is by where I work, Westwood is by my house. I have had no problems with any services or any attitudes. I actually almost fall asleep when I visit because I feel so comfortable!
Dr. Tahery is very honest too and bedside manner is impeccable. He doesn’t make me dread office visits.

Dr. Tahery is my seriously my hero. Not only he was the only doctor to figure out what my condition was (after I saw 14 doctors), but he also makes me feel like a person who he knows well and not another file with information on it. I can truly trust him. In addition, all the ladies in the office are so friendly and accommodating to my needs. I simply could not recommend Dr. Tahery and his Glendale office enough.

I have visited 3 gynecologist throughout my lifetime. A friend of mine recommended Dr. Tahery. All I can say is that he is an amazing human being. He makes you feel comfortable. He listens and he takes care of you, like he’s taking care of his own family member. He is very passionate about what he does and he’s there to help in any way possible. He will take the extra step to make you well. Love they way he treats his patients. His staff is very friendly and they make you feel right at home, and a priority. I’ve found my gynecologist for life! I’ve had pain and heavy on and off periods for a year. I found out I have fibroids which Dr. Tahery said are very common! I am 53 years old but not yet in menopause. After a thorough exam and biopsy of my uterus lining, I’m Peri menopausal and in great hands with Dr. Michael Tahery!!! He is very gentle, kind, and caring. His Glendale staff are excellent and very nice! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Tahery for any

Amazing Doctor!!! Knowledgable, Friendly and an overall caring obgyn. Both my first son and my now current pregnancy is under his care and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to take care of me during the most important time of my life!!! His staff is always friendly and welcoming and can always work something out if an appointment needs to be moved or changed :)

Dr Tahery is not only the most knowledgable doctor (any field) I’ve had, but also the doctor with the best bedside manner. Every time I visit the office, the girls at the font desk are welcoming. Dr. Tahery takes his time with each patient and makes sure that before you leave all your questions are addressed.
The entire office is clean and professional, and I’m always in and out exactly at the time of my appointment.

I moved from the East Coast to the West and I LOVE my OB in New Jersey. It took forever to find an OB in the Glendale area a friend recommended Dr. Tahery and he and his staff in Glendale have been God sent! I had a very rough pregnancy and Dr. Tahery was so pleasent, Understanding, and always concerned with my wants and comfort. I had my daughter via c Section and was up and walking around that day. I am always able to get in touch with Dr. Tahery and express my concerns. He let’s me know ahead of time when he was going on vacation and told me about the Dr who would be covering for him which as a first time mom put me at ease. I highly recommend Dr. Tahery, his staff, hrs of operation, and bed side manner are top rate!!! My daughter was 7lbs 11 oz and everything went perfectly. I was completely prepared every step of the way. I am so thankful my friend recommended him!

My daughter saw Dr. Michael Tahery two years ago, and strongly recommended that I seek him out for a second opinion. She gave me the phone number, and I called and made an appt. I went to his web site, printed out the address and phone number to have with me — both of which are wrong, by the way. I drove 45 min. all the way down to Glendale for my appt. only to find out that the building had been torn down last year. The mail man just happened to be in the area and told me. I tried calling the number I printed from the web site, but that was wrong too.
Unfortunately, I had not realized it was a different phone number than the one my daughter gave me. I could not reach her for the correct phone number.
When I got back and called them, all the receptionist would say was «we need to update our web site» and then argued with me about whether or not the phone number listed was correct or not. It was not correct. She never apologized or seemed at all concerned that I had waited three weeks for an appt. and would now have to wait two week more because the doctor would be gone on vacation. She blankly asked me if I wanted to schedule another appointment. I said I would think about it.
I ended up going to a wonderful doctor in Arcadia, who also has offices here in SCV. His name is Roger Satterthwaite.
Michael Tahery may very well be an excellent physician – I never had the pleasure of meeting him. However, he really needs to get a better trained staff who are respectful of his patients’ time.
Allowing patients to wait weeks for appointments only to arrive and find that the address listed on the web site is wrong, and then having to wait weeks for another appointment is not acceptable. Leaving a medical web site in need of updating for over a year makes one wonder what other things the staff are not being attentive too…
