I have reason to believe her motives may not be ethical. She was very nice and explained things thoroughly. After finding out I had a very low follicle count and abnormal amh, she told me if I wanted any chance at a child, I needed ivf now. My eggs were running out! So stressful! I got pregnant 1 mo later naturally. 3 years later, all I needed was one round of clomid to get pregnant (I’m now 37). The tech who did my nuchal translucency ultrasound said she has heard about this MD scaring other women into ivf. Seek a 2ND opinion to be safe.

Dr Evans is hands down among the BEST doctors I have ever been too (and trust me, I’ve been to MANY). She is patient, ALWAYS on time, kind & intelligent. Both my husband & I agree that she was one of the best decisions we’ve made in years. My only complaint about her is that she’s not a practicing OBGYN so she can’t deliver my baby that’s due soon. Love Love Love her!

If you’re trying to have baby and it’s not happening, we highly suggest a consultation with Dr Evans. She knows her stuffs, office staff are nice, available and responsive and the price is reasonable!
We met with Dr Evans, we talked, she ordered tests, we met again and she pretty much told us anything less aggressive than IVF+ICSI will not work — Google Kruger test! Fast forward about a year later, my daughter is sleeping in her nursery as I’m typing this up!
Price-​wise, let’s face it; fertility treatments are not cheap, but I never knew the reason until we went through the process. The matter of fact is that only a small portion of the whole cost goes to Dr Evans and her business. The fertility center (right next to UCLA campus), anesthesiologist, embryologist, EXPENSIVE medications, embryo cryopreservation, lab works, genetic testing, etc etc etc each took big chunks of the whole cost.
The whole process was labor-​intensive and required many visits to Dr Evans’ office and a couple of trips to the west-​LA office. It took us a few months to ‘graduate’ from Dr Evans’ office and see the the regular OB. You just have to trust Dr Evans and let her do what she needs to do!

It was great to work with her and her staff — they were all responsible, kind, helpful. I really appreciated how Dr. Evans took the time to explain things clearly. She was willing to take me even though I was on that line where other practices would have rejected me as a poor candidate, and during the cycle she was very clear about the pros/​cons of cancellation and let me make the decisions.
Her Glendale office is pretty mellow and I rarely had much of a wait there. The Westwood office is a little bit of a headache, but there are only two visits there. The lab is excellent, which ends up very important for procedures like IVF. They offer PGS with a turnaround fast enough to get the results within the same cycle.

My husband and I first met Dr. evans back in… I Believe 2009, at HRC. We didn’t move forward with IVF at the time for many personal reasons. Now at my age of 39 we are moving ahead. We found out Dr. Evans had moved and now is at PFCLA in Glenadale. For our particular situation she said with ICSI and PREIMPLANTATION GENETIC TESTING our chances of success is 60%. My husband and I are excited, nervous and hopeful. We start stimulation meds Mon May 18! I’ll keep an update and if you have any questions about my experience feel free to message me!

Just starting with IVF so I will update my review periodically. I found Dr. Evans through my fellow Unilocalers and must say, thank you! Just had my first visit to Pacific Fertility Center, and meeting with Dr. Evans was better than I could have imagined. I’m in my early 40’s so I knew that my chances of getting preggers is somewhere between a snowball’s chance in hell and winning the mega millions. But with these sad sack thoughts, I went in and came out feeling cautiously optimistic. What I like is that Dr. Evans didn’t try to give me any false hope (which if she were less ethical she could easily do) but instead very simply and in laymen’s terms, explained to me the various truths and myths about IVF. After doing an ultrasound which actually revealed some eggs (not a plethora, mind you, but enough to be worth a shot), I left feeling, as I said before, cautiously optimistic. I’ve now got to get a heap of tests and then start on various pills in order to harvest (!) my eggs. Keeping my fingers crossed, and off to do some acupuncture…

Highly recommend! After trying for a year & going to HRC in Pasadena (not helpful after initial consultation), we went to Dr. Evans. She was recommended by a friend. She is patient, kind, trustworthy, honest, & truly cares about getting you pregnant. She is very thorough & answers all questions that you have. She will respond by email as well. Cynthia (receptionist) & Keeana (not sure of spelling– she’s the nurse) are helpful & kind as well. They are all very supportive as you go through the IVF process. This place does not treat you like it’s a factory that gets you in & out ASAP just to make money. They are a small office & very personable.
We got lucky & pregnant on the 1^st try!
Price — reasonable, depends on how many attempts & medication that you will need.
Call & consult with Dr. Evans & her staff. I’m sure that you won’t need to look for another doctor after meeting them. Good luck!

Stop looking right now! Dr. Evans is the BEST at what she does and I am so grateful to have found her when I did. I had previously been seeing a fertility specialist recommended by my healthcare provider for over a year and each visit, I left feeling more frustrated than the visit before. I had several consultations with others as well and I always left feeling one thing– this is a cash grab for everyone of them. I could have paid out of pocket for fertility treatments anywhere, if that’s what I wanted. But this was not at all the case with Dr. Evans.
In the consultation, Dr. Evans does a thorough exam and discusses options instead of forcing anything down your throat. She, along with her office staff, are very compassionate which is what one needs when struggling with infertility. Dr. Evans takes the time to explain everything in detail and answers any questions you may have. Another huge plus is that her office staff is available during off hours to schedule appointments as needed– which was a huge disappointment in my previous experience with the other place, who didn’t respond to any messages outside of their M-​F, 8am-​5pm timeframe.
After 1 failed attempt of IUI, I became pregnant on the 2^nd try and I recently «graduated» from Dr. Evans’ care. It was bittersweet to say the least, as I only wish Dr. Evans could see me through this entire pregnancy. Not only is Dr. Evans the best fertility doctor in the area and beyond, she isn’t afraid to show you she is human with emotions like the rest of us. That is what was most important to me throughout this journey.

First, I want to say that if you’re embarking on the fertility treatment journey, you must come to peace with the fact that this could be a long road. It will have bumps and crazy turns and it is not for the faint of heart… but you’ve chosen the best doctor you can find to guide you through it. Statistics are well and good and I’m sure PFCLA has competitive ones; but at the end of the day, you want a doctor who can hold your hand through the tough choices and heartache just as well as the doctor who gets lucky enough to get you pregnant (and keep you pregnant) on the first try.
Dr. Evans is unlike any healthcare professional I’ve ever met and without her support, knowledge and capable hands, I would have lost my mind before we even started the IVF process. And after the first failed attempt. And after the second failed attempt. It wasn’t easy, and she had her work cut out for her, but Dr. Evans helped give us the gift of two beautiful babies – boy/​girl twins now just over two months old. Both happy, healthy, incredible human beings. I should note that I did in fact get pregnant all three tries, but like I said – ups and downs in this journey and I wouldn’t have traded Dr. Evans for anyone else during those difficult phone calls or office meetings. If you stick with it and trust that she knows what she’s doing, has years of experience, and is your greatest resource (far better than the Internet!) during this whole process, you too will find success and joy. Be strong, be well, and best of luck to all of you.

UPDATE: We DID get pregnant and I recently had my baby boy!!! Dr. Evans may not have delivered or seen me past the 9 week mark (because you «graduate» from her office at that point), but I am still in contact with her and she is still very supportive. I will be going back to her for Baby #2.

I am SO glad that we chose Dr. Evans as there are many choices but she is the absolute BEST! Not only does she explain everything in detail but she makes you feel comfortable and encourages questions. She is always punctual (which is rare for a doctor) and always has a smile on her face. She is definitely an optimist and will give you realistic expectations and outcomes as to your individual situation. She TRULY cares and has your absolute best interest at heart! We got pregnant with the first transfer with ONE embryo! ** I don’t know why anyone would go see anyone else!!**
Her office staff are also very friendly, professional, courteous, and are always available for questions via email or phone!

Dr. Evans is extremely easy to talk to, takes time to answer and address any questions or concerns you may have. I am so grateful for having found her. She and her staff are wonderful and I highly recommend them.

What a godsend! Dr. Evans is the third or fourth fertility specialist we have seen, and I only wish we had found her earlier. She is as charming as she is smart, and importantly, she is respectful and compassionate. Her staff is lovely as well. They are professional, kind, and Dr. Evans and her staff are readily available via phone and email.
Her ultrasounds are gentle, and she explains everything on the monitor (without being patronizing about it).
Bonus: great coffee and tea via the Keurig in the waiting room.

Not Heterocentric:
Many fertility clinics pay lip service to the amenability of their services for same sex couples, but Pacific Fertility Center (where Dr. Evans is located) is one of the first clinics we found where we really felt like our Dr. and her staff were rooting for us and and where we weren’t just symbols of a marketable population, to be tolerated. They didn’t use awkward language, or say insulting things like, «We’re just going to mark you as single on this form since you aren’t legally married,» and their paperwork didn’t use gender normative language like «husband/​wife.» Refreshing.
Good consult:
We could tell from the consultation that Dr. Evans knew what she was talking about, and she answered all of our questions and made sure to thoroughly inform us and include us in the decision-​making. We had to call her on the first night of stims at 9:30 to ask a question, and she was very kind and patient with us. This is not the norm – our other doctor was never available for us after hours, and we had to go through a huge process just to speak to a nurse to ask a question about something they had forgotten to tell us in the first place.
Words of advice: I have had horrible experiences with condescending and opportunistic fertility specialists, and I caution anyone who is looking for a reproductive endocrinologist to do their research carefully and not to feel committed to someone because you went through an initial consultation. If you aren’t entirely impressed during the consult, it is well worth it to spend the extra money for additional consults until you find the right doctor for you rather than get stuck with a schmuck.
When shopping for a fertility clinic, don’t go by the SART rankings! Instead, look at the stats on the CDC website.

Really nice chirpy people on the phone so I can’t complain about that — but one very helpful thing to know is that she does not accept patients just for a check up. You must see her specifically for fertility reasons, so if you’re looking for a «regular» obgyn this is not it.

Dr. Michelle Evans was kind, knowledgeable and everything you would want in a doctor. I was frantic in trying to preserve my fertility before starting cancer treatment. She was so compassionate and took time to explain everything to me. I am so lucky to have had her as my doctor and I would recommend her to anyone.

I had such a fantastic experience at HRC with Dr. Evans! She is a very active and careful listener, and she communicates in a way that is informative without being overwhelming. She is impressively knowledgeable and refreshingly honest.
Dr. Evans was considerate of our personal preferences and worked hard to help us find solutions that we were comfortable with financially and ethically. She was very easy to get in contact with when we had concerns. We were so glad to have her as our doctor — I wish I could keep her as my OB/​GYN now that I am pregnant!
