I would love to give this place a higher rating because the staff here has always been extremely helpful when I could get a hold of them, but they definitely need more than just a little kiosk to really compete with the TWO different apple stores in the Galleria and Americana.
They also just don’t have that many products available for people to try out and use compared to the apple stores.
Regardless, if you’re looking for any micorosoft products, this is the place to go.

I am writing this review just to say thank you to all 3 associates that worked at this store tonight (wish I remembered their names). I went in today pretty scared that there was something wrong with my surface. They were more then helpful and patient and solved my problem. Thank you! I highly recommend purchasing purchasing all your Microsoft product from this store.

Although this is a kiosk, it’s great, and the service is OUTSTANDING. I bought an SP4 here I later exchanged for a Vaio Canvas Z. Sadly, parking is horrid in this mall, and of course, its not a full store.
The service though… so good.

Thank you Microsoft Team, highly recommend. They were extremely courteous, polite and well knowledgeable. Stephanie is the best! I’m very happy with my purchase, I would not consider going anywhere else.

ok, some time ago I would give this place bad review if I even cared to do so.
certainly it’s not full microsoft store (though I wouldn’t give good review to the one in century city anyways) and other possible issues one could have.
but last two times I came with issues I definitely got super good service. I had to replace my surface pro with coverage I had and it was complicated issue and it got resolved, and last time I had keyboard issue also resolved and it was very nice. certainly improving and at this point they are doing a lot considering the space they have. actually I used surface pro for a year and it makes you be able to do work in as little space as possible so it matches too showing the mobility of «new microsoft».

My only complaint with this place really is the size. It’s really just a kiosk, not a store. And because of this, they really don’t have the ability to have a whole lot of inventory or staff.
The location also used to be out in the open which was nice, but since Christmas, Santa pushed it down into the hallway between the Phở restaurant & Victoria’s Secret so it just feels like a complete afterthought. I wish Microsoft would just find a space in the mall to get a proper store. Hopefully they’re working on it.

I’ve been to this store 4 times over 4 months. Superb customer service every time with different individuals staffing:
1) checking out the Surface Pro 3; comparison shopping vs. Yoga and other light thin PCs. Reps answer all of my questions re: compatibility, ports, warranty
2) went back to ask one more question (i7 specific issue) and then purchased
3) a couple of weeks later and post trip to beach (no dropping in sand, but wind was blowing), keyboard had a sticky key. Went in and they replaced. Also got a tutorial on some home screen features I’d been wondering about.
4) 4 months later: tried to use the HDMI adaptor for the first time when giving a talk. Realized the adaptor was not compatible with my machine. They’d sold me the wrong one (one for Surface not Pro). Well, mistakes happen. Went back, explained situation, and was given the right adaptor in exchange. No hassle.
I love my Surface Pro 3 and have been very pleased that there’s superb customer service at the Burbank Microsoft kiosk not a 15min drive away.

This is just a kiosk stand. It’s okay for checking out the Xbox one and surface pro. However, the associates are not very knowledgeable with the products and some of them are rude. One guy told me the 512 GB ssd version is «faster» than the 256 GB ssd. The only good thing is the return policy seems pretty good. The Apple Store is upstairs, not too far away.

Useless! This is not a store, nor do they apparently communicate with Microsoft customer service phone # or the website. They do not answer the phone either. The MS website is very deceptive, they make it sound like a full service store when in fact it’s but a kiosk the promote Surface tablets.

These guys are always super friendly and helpful. I bought my Xbox one here at launch and the young lady who sold it to me remembered me and was extremely helpful and welcoming. I recently needed to have m kinect replaced because it stopped working and these guys were quick to grab me a replacement and get me taken care of.

Shopping is supposed to be part of fun for buying a consumer electronic product. But Microsoft just doesn’t see that at all. This food stand like «Microsoft Specialty Store» will never attract serious consumer electronic fans. I want to buy a Surface Pro, but I do not want to drive 20 minutes to find out whether they even carry in their Microsoft food stand cart or not. There is no way to check what products do they even have at any given moment. I tried to call this Microsoft food stand in Glendale and there is no store phone number that I can find. There is just a general phone number for all Microsoft food stands throughout the nation. When I called, they cannot answer any questions about product availability at each Microsoft food stand. I do not go to shopping mall at all, and I am not willing to go to a shopping mall to «check out» the Microsoft «meal of the day.» If they can’t post product availability online, at least provide a store number so people can call and ask. There is an Apple store one block from my place, and I am still not an Apple fan. Now, I am forced to try Apple products again just for their much better customer service.

Called ahead to make sure I could demo Kinect but when I arrived they told me that there is too much sunlight and wouldn’t be able to demo the product after all. Waste of time.

The staff here were very helpful. Both Ashley and Douglas made sure I was completely satisfied with my Surface Pro before I walked away. Thank you both for all your help!

CLIFF NOTES… just shop for it online.
Welcome to Glendale, where everywhere you go, every employee, even self employed people, seem to have this ‘Mc Donalds’ attitude to their career. I came here honestly to learn both about buying a new computer, as well as salvaging another one with a reboot of Windows. I was even wearing a tie, nice button up shirt, and my favorite slacks.
The guys were helpful enough but damn I had a lot of questions, and no matter how much «its probably my first day on the job» turned to his manager, probably playing tetris or whatever windows 8 equivalent is, tried to help him with, but it just overall felt so amateurish for these guys, working in a TECHNICAL position, just couldn’t answer my most basic technical questions.
Like Luy said, this place is really a kiosk, NOT A STORE. I was very disappointed… as usual, as a Microsoft customer.
I’m even tempted to buy an Apple… yeah…who knows. Is linux still around? Has anyone made progress with that OS so that dummies like me can use it? (for tetris, of course. What else am I gonna do online when I’m bored in teh middle of the night and have nothing else to do with my energies?)
FYI, they dont install software there and they dont have much inventory there. They referred me to their Century City store for both. Nice. I wonder how much that kiosk area costs them. Ah damn… who cares.

I’ve been an Apple Fan Boy for at least 10 years now but for the past couple years I’ve been more and more unimpressed with their latest offerings. I think Windows has done a great job re-​inventing themselves. Windows 8 is really cool and the Surface is a powerful and versatile little tablet.
My BF and I played around with the Surface RT for a little while, the associate was very helpful, patient, and knowledgeable but wasn’t pushy at all. I think these stores are a great idea. I’m definitely planning to get the Pro when it comes out next month.

This place should be called the Microsoft *kiosk*. It’s not a store, and they don’t really carry anything except the Surface.
Microsoft has put out a number of these *stores* to try and push the Surface — this I can appreciate.
What I don’t like — and consequently what I am docking a couple of stars from this review for — is that if you are only selling ONE PRODUCT then the sales people should know a little bit about it.
There was one guy who knew the answers to my questions there, and as you can imagine he was busy and so I only had his attention for a little bit.
Anyways, no Surface bought — but when the Pro comes out my decision is already made.

A holiday pop-​up store that stocks only the recently released Surface RT tablet (whereas I understand the other full-​size retail stores sell more things…). It’s a nice little space and there are plenty of tablets about, to that end.
They are definitely here to sell things, which is a little different than the Apple strategy of let you wander around and hope you buy something. There was a line and when you arrived a staff members asks if you are there to purchase or demo. If you say demo, they run through a couple of things, let you play around with the tablet (while they are standing there) and THEN ask you if you want to buy it.
Now it might be a dead giveaway that I was interested in this thing and that I know my way around a computer in that I went to this place on day one mere hours after it opened up, but I’d be remiss in not reporting that the staff here could use to learn a little more about the product they are hawking.
Once I had to show another guest that what the employee was saying was completely wrong (that was in line) and then when I made it to the demo station, me and a fellow guest had to explain something to the man running the demo.
This, mind you, was the first time I had ever used this product. That said, it’s a spiffy little product, I don’t think it’s ready yet which means both the Surface and the staff need some time to learn some new tricks before I switch from Demo to Purchase.
