I gave my Mom a Groupon at Christmas for a couples (Swedish) massage, which she and I did together Friday. It was the first time my Mom had ever had a massage. She’s older now and I didn’t know how she’d respond. But she loved it (and so did I). Cynthia worked well with her and Ilbron worked well on me. They talked us through what they were doing and gave us a few pointers along the way about things we can do to improve our health. Give them a try!

PROS:
–They can do deep tissue, that’s for sure. I appreciated her ability to find and dig at the hard spots.
–The man (it’s a husband-​wife team) is kind and helpful. I felt bad for him with his witchy wife.
CONS:
–The woman, Cynthia, has such an attitude! I had a hard time finding the place (there is no parking info on the website) so I was ~5 minutes late. (I had planned to be early.) My husband was 10 minutes late, for the same parking reason. Cynthia was SO quick to be confrontational…“we’re going to shorten your massage”…“the entrance is right there”…giving me looks and bad vibes, etc. etc. Not what you want before a massage! I am deeply uncomfortable with confrontation, so I actually almost left and sacrificed my Groupon. She had such an attitude. Also when we were done she rushed us out of there while I was mid sentence talking to her husband. Terrible service from her.
–The massage was only passable. They were very slow so only massaged mostly my back. They worked very slowly and there were long breaks between when they were massaging. They didn’t get to my hamstrings at all even though I said I was very tight there.
It confuses me because I thought the point of Groupon was to turn bargain shoppers into regular customers. This is definitely not how to do it!

The staff there is excellent! Cynthia and Tmazzadah are very friendly, professional and great massage therapists. We have been twice and will be back again.

I purchased a 2 massage deal through groupon, but will not return for 2^nd massage. The staff here at Midpoint were all very nice. However, the quality of the massage matched the deal price. I know every one has their style of performing a massage, but this experience was very strange. For the Swedish Massage, I was faced down the entire hour and when she came to my feet, she wrapped them in wet washcloths and squeezed my feet. My feet were not dirty or smelly, so I don’t get that move. I don’t prefer this massage style. When completed, I was very nauseous. I thought it would pass so I left and spent the next hour vomiting. The people are very nice. So I gave them three stars. However, I would recommend you go to Burke Williams, Massage Envy, or even the Korean day spas for a true relaxation massage.

Took down my first post to give them a chance to reconcile and make amends, but their customer service is nothing but attitude and arrogance (as I’ve seen in several other posts here) prevented that from happening.
My girlfriend purchased the groupon for a 1hr massage a few months back and on the day of our appointment she arrived before me, and every time she called to see where I was she told me to come anyways and that they were waiting for me. It wasnt until I arrived after driving 90min in traffic that our appointment was cancelled. They didnt even offer a shortened massage. Feeling bad for my girlfriend I offered an additional tip if they would still see us. The gentleman, Ilbron, smiled and politely declined, while Cynthia tried to blame my girlfriend that they told her it was cancelled and in so many words was trying to pin this on her, telling me that my girlfriend lied to me. I was surprised how instantly confrontational she was with a customer. Regardless, I said that I wouldnt be returning, but she offered my girlfriend, who had paid for the groupon, to reschedule.
However, my girlfriend recently tried to reschedule for herself and another friend of hers, and Cynthia decided she had changed her mind and would not allow her to reschedule, but instead would just take her $ 80 groupon with no refund. She tried to then state MY actions were the reason she was now going back on her word, despite the fact that I did not pay for the groupon, nor was I going to be attending, and at no time was my girlfriend anything but polite with her and on time for the original appointment. You cant be surprised when I get upset after being told to still come 20−30min late, I get there, and then they decide to cancel, yet that is not a reason to deny someone else a refund or reschedule. Yet, she had the opportunity to take the money and run so she did. Be careful Unilocalers.

You have to plan ahead with this place. I had an appointment six months out because they were fully booked and when the day finally came someone in there office cancelled it. I am so bummed out that they would do that. Also, be wary when you provide them with your email because they heavily spam.

This review is well overdue.
I originally got a Groupon deal for a Swedish massage in Aug this year and pleased to say it went very well so much so that we bought a package of 6 sessions (couples massage). The place is clean and relaxing and the staff always attentive and pleasant. Ilbron and Cynthia knows their stuff and accommodate requests when needed. We have been twice and on both occasions, have received great massages. Service is very professional and they always ask throughout the session how comfortable we are.
FYI, Swedish massage is a gentle kind of therapy so if you are looking for something slightly deeper, then go for either Sports or Deep tissue. You can also request for a combination massage.

I purchased a Groupon to get a massage here today at 3:30pm. I was really looking forward to it because I’m taking a huge exam tomorrow so I scheduled to leave work early and get there on time.
I got a call from Midpoint at 3:11pm and let the receptionist know I was getting off the freeway and needed my phone for navigation. I was told that my appointment was cancelled due to a computer error and I would not be able to be seen today. Not even 20 minutes before my appointment. Then I was asked when I would like to reschedule my appointment.
I was obviously upset and told the receptionist how unprofessional this was. I was offered an additional 15 minutes the next time I came in. I’ve never been to this place, but now have no intention of trying it. What’s even more annoying is that I received not only a confirmation call, but also a confirmation email and then a follow up email regarding my scheduled appointment today. Your computers are obviously working if you could send me two emails this week.

I went in for a massage. I thought it would be a good quality one. Not like the Chinese foot massage places. I’ve gotten better ones from those places. I thought licensed therapist met better quality. I got the massage on Wednesday and it is Saturday and my neck still hurts. Wow I’m suppose to feel better not worse.

My girlfriend and myself visited this place earlier today. I have to say, they are definitely very professional and knowledgeable. Not only did they provide excellent service, they were very accommodating in terms of our conditions as well. I would definitely come back to this place.

This was such a bad experience that it’s funny – how are they still in business?
Went for a couples’ deep tissue and can’t really categorize what it is that we got – maybe Swedish with a mix of inexperienced/​unlicensed (??) therapists.
For me, for 93% of the session (that I asked to end earlier than the 60 min), «therapist» seemed like he didn’t really know what he should do next and wasn’t doing much other than rubbing more and more oil on me. What he did end up giving me is a headache. Overall, my BF or a friend could face most likely given me something better.
My fave part of all this was how it came about for me to end the session early – the «therapist» was wiggling my fingers and wrist like how a mother would wiggle her baby’s toes when talking about little piggies. I guess my chuckle (because I couldn’t believe what was happening) was heard and he had asked if it was hurting – I took that as an opportunity to just ask for him to stop completely!
We had gotten a Groupon, hopefully they’ll give me credit so I can get something else. I don’t want anything from that center though!
As for my boyfriend, his «therapist» was inexperienced as well and he got hit in the head 3 times (haha!). This whole thing was a joke!
I would’ve not given a star at all but it’s a minimum of 1 on Unilocal.
Let me go take an aspirin now for this headache, hopefully he didn’t mess up anything in my back o_​O

Me and my husband went on a groupon to get a couples Swedish massage and we came early. It was a nice atmosphere, staff was friendly and gave us the option to choose same sex masseuses.
It wasn’t a bad experience, the reason for the three stars is simply because the massage itself was good but average. I felt relaxed and great but not revived. My masseuse did focus mostly one upper back and shoulders, even though I had written down that my problem areas were those two as well as my calves and feet and they barely got any attention. It’s as if she forgot them and then hurried to touch them

My husband was pleased to but also felt it was a mediocre experience.
Reasonable prices though, and definitely worth the trip for a groupon. Would I come
Back without a groupon? No. Mostly because it’s far away from us and I’d rather find a place
With exceptional masseuses.

Midpoint is a hidden gem. I bought a one hour couples Swedish massage via Groupon. No regrets!
I chose Ilbron to be my masseuse and my boyfriend had Cynthia as his. They were both very professional; throughout the massage they would ask how the pressure was to ensure we were both comfortable. My boyfriend has a sensitive shoulder as a result of former surgeries and I have dental issues. Although these are issues Cynthia and Ilbron worked with us, even giving us tips on how to relieve tension throughout the day. The room was peaceful and we both enjoyed the aroma therapies, soft background music and oils. After the massage we were both given a glass of water which was a nice after touch.
I would recommend this business for anyone who enjoys massages because the staff is professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. My boyfriend and I will definitely go back :-)

Wish I had gotten the guy. The female massaged me and kept talking while I was trying to relax and then she gave me an attitude when I asked if she wouldn’t do a deep tissue. Then I got more attitude when I asked if she was ever going to do my legs and feet.
I don’t appreciate the attitude when I’m paying for a service, if you don’t like your job, then get a new one.

I’ve come here a few times for massages with Cynthia, and really enjoyed all my visits! Cynthia is very professional, and was really able to get out the knots on my upper back, and also provided me with tips on neck/​upper back stretches, which I really appreciated.
You can request an appointment online on their website, and they will contact you to confirm. There is also a few one hour free spots in their parking garage, and I’ve been lucky to find a spot during all my visits.
This is a very basic, no frills massage place, but I appreciate the reasonable prices and great massages from Cynthia! This place also felt very clean, which is really important to me.
The only thing I disliked was that in my last two visits, there was too much talking and noise coming from the reception area, which really took away from my experience. The massage room I was in was right next to the reception area, and all I could hear were people laughing and chatting it up, which was really distracting when I’m trying to relax and enjoy my massage! I really hope someone reads this, and tries to create a more quiet environment so people can enjoy their massages.

Wow I just found my self a new spot for my massage treatments! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Ilbron and Cynthia are amazing!
My bf found this place on groupon a few months back. Seeing as to the fact that he found it on groupon, we weren’t sure what to expect. Our first experience here was a Swedish massage. They addressed every area we asked for in an hour and half (very efficient) without rushing us out the door. We enjoyed it so much we decided to buy another massage package.
The second time around we went with a deep tissue massage which was well worth it. Cynthia focused primarily on the spots where I needed it the most, gave me tips on how to stretch and relax, and booked our next appointment right after our massage.
They are both so sweet, welcoming, and respectful which made us feel comfortable (the way you should feel when getting half naked for a massage).
We’ve searched all over LA for a great massage place and now we’ve definitely found it!

All I can say is WOW. I was a little hesitant based on the 1-​star reviews but it seems like the majority of them had scheduling issues, and never actually got the massage. Scheduling was easy — just go online, reserve your desired time, choice of therapist, and voila! A rep from the center called me the next morning to confirm my appointment, and then done.
As a frequent Groupon user, I’ve been shopping around for awhile for a good massage place that I could stick with. Most that I’ve been to are fine massage places but they never focused really on my problems– just prioritized my R&R, but Cynthia at MWC really knew what was wrong, where it hurt, and how to prevent those issues.
I was expecting some R&R, but actually got an unexpected therapy session out of this. Cynthia really knows her stuff, and shared that she was studying to go to chiropractic school.
I loved it so much that I bought a 6-​massage package. Awesome and more than reasonable prices for quality therapeutic massages. I’ll be recommending this place to everyone.
Parking: There’s free 1-​hour visitor parking located in the complex’s underground garage, but I don’t think anyone is too strict on the time.

sorry this is a long post but it’s worth the read I PROMISE, IT WILL GIVE YOU A GOOD LAUGH
bought a groupon to go here a few weeks ago to get a couples massage for me and my gf… then i called them a few times to try to get an appointment, no answer, no answer, no answer. finally after a few days of trying and leaving voicemails they called me back, to be fair they did apologize for not returning my calls because they were busy. Anyways I scheduled an appointment with them and it took them forever to check their calender to see when THEY were available. I should have known this was the first sign of a horribly run business.
Anyways got the appointment scheduled for 3:30 on Sat. come Saturday my gf and I are running a bit late so we call them at 1pm to let them know we are running late and to see if we can push it back a bit, no answer, we keep trying, keep trying, no answer FINALLY we get a hold of them around 3:10pm and let them know we will probably be 10 minutes late or so (meaning getting there around 3:40 for our scheduled 3:30pm appointment) the lady on the phone is confrontational and rude, telling us that even though the appointment was booked for 3:30 the actual start time is 3:25. (of course she said this in the most rudest way possible)

WHAT?
WHY IS THE APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED FOR 3:30 THEN? WHY NOT SAY IT’S 3:25?! the hell is this crap, the lady said it was said in the confirmation e-mail’s fine print, okay fine if that’s true my fault, i’ll take fault where it is due, she then also said there is nothing they can do to help us out (with attitude of course), and that if we get there at 3:40 then we lose 15 minutes of our massage time since it’s our fault. at this point her attitude was really starting to irk me. I get how business policies work but the point is the way she was speaking to me, she was talking down to me like i was BEGGING to get a massage or something? R U EFFING SERIOUS!!!
so i tell her okay, if that’s the case then I would rather just go ahead and get a refund from groupon, she tells me to, I QUOTE «DO WHATEVER YOU WANT THEN!!» (yes like that) OKAY so i said sure, I will happily call groupon and get a refund and happily give you a one star review on Unilocal,once again she responds with «DO WHATEVER YOU WANT!» okay

i thought he called me back to apologize so i was very nice when i picked up the phone, but NOPE! HE CALLED ME BACK because «OF THE WAY I SPOKE TO HIS EMPLOYEE» yep, he was extremely rude to me and told me that I needed to respect his employee (YES THE ONE WHO YELLED AT ME) i was in UTTER SHOCK, i asked him «ARE YOU SERIOUSLY calling ME to lecture ME???» he said «YES YOU NEED TO TREAT ME EMPLOYEE WITH RESPECT»

SORRY FOR THE LONG POST but this was by far the most AMUSING and crazy experience I’ve had with a business. when I called groupon to ask for the refund the customer service person literally was laughing when i told the story because of how ridiculous it was. needless to say I got my. refund quickly and easily (yay shouts to groupon)

Probably THE worst service we have ever gotten. This place is very unreasonable and rude here.
If you have an appointment and you have an emergency, then you just lost your money. Because no matter what they won’t forgive you to reschedule or for being even 10minutes late and they will just take your money.
We had a Groupon for a couples massage and we called about 5 times way in advance to see if we can reschedule to a later time, no one ever picked up. So we ended up rushing our schedule and we were running about 10 minutes late. I called again and she finally picks up and says our appointment starts at that exact time and however late we are we lose that amount of time. She also mentioned that our session actually starts prior to the appointment time andno where in the email or Groupon it states that our session starts before our appointment time. .
The lady on the phone was pretty rude and started giving us an attitude and getting that kind of tone from her we told her we decided to cancel the Groupon and give a bad review because of her attitude.
The WORST part is that the owner guy called us back and started yelling and lecturing us about how we disrespected her and how we aren’t that important to them and not worth their time?! Uhhhh. WTF? yes that’s the treatment you give to people to run a business. Pretty unbelievable.
We will be getting a refund and buy another Groupon massage deal.
