Karen Johnson, Ph. D
Vice President of University Relations, Midwestern University
Since 1994, Karen D. Johnson, Ph.D. has been directing the external relations efforts of Midwestern University at both its Downers Grove, IL, and Glendale, AZ, campuses. As Vice President of University Relations, she oversees the offices of admissions, development & alumni relations, and marketing & communications for the University’s graduate and professional programs in osteopathic medicine, pharmacy, dental medicine, optometry, veterinary medicine, and the health sciences. Dr. Johnson has overseen the initial creation and continued development of the university’s website, which has won several awards.
Dr. Johnson received her Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the College of Wooster, her Master of Arts degree in liberal studies from Northwestern University, and her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Higher Education Administration from Loyola University Chicago.
