I wish I had a Rubio’s near me in the valley! Out of all the fast-food ish Mexican places, Rubios is my favorite. This location is especially nice, as the interior is really clean and well set up. Also it’s terribly convenient. They have fantastic fish tacos and burritos. I always get their traditional fish taco, fish taco especial or the salmon taco. For the price is really is a fantastic value. I feel good finding a way to fit more fish into my diet, and Rubio’s make it easy and tasty for me to do so. The fish is always well cooked and never soggy. The toppings always fresh. I am a happy camper here. They also have a wonderful salsa bar in all flavors and levels of spiciness. They carry a small selection of beers and they also have a sangria that I keep meaning to try but just haven’t yet. Speaking of drinks, I LOVE their Odwalla Lemonade and Strawberry Lemonade. Man that stuff is crack for me. So incredibly good. The staff on every visit have been friendly and helpful. I’ve never had a bad experience here and I hope to keep coming back. Please open a location in Woodland Hills! :)

Rubio’s is my favorite place to come get food in its shopping center. The menu has a bunch of seafood options which is great for my pescetarian self! Reasonable prices for delicious food. I opted for the mahi mahi tacos with a side of pinto beans and rice. Everything is so so good, and make sure to try out all their salsas!

After a busy, tiring day at work, I headed to Rubio’s to grub. I ordered the new Chimchurri Salmon Taco Plate. The fish is their new Wild Alaska Coho Salmon. They were so good I almost cried! Thats how happy the taste made me haha. I’m sad that they disappeared off my plate. Till next time!

Came for lunch, spent the whole time waiting for a simple burrito which I never ended up getting. Took them about 30 minutes then decided to cancel my order. First time in my life that a restaurant couldn’t provide food in a timely manner. Very disappoint and won’t be going back. For anyone looking into choosing Rubios as a lunch spot, don’t, you’ll leave hungry. 8 hour days without food aren’t pleasant. Thank you Rubios

Rubio’s Coastal Grill in Glendale is a nice place. Indoor and outdoor seating. I consider the food to be al fresco and gourmet. Truthfully, I eat rice a lot. So I do not want it in a fast food lunch. Corn chips are okay every so often. I would like to add more side options to the menu like steamed broccoli and pickled carrots with jalapeños. However, that could increase meal prices. Also, I don’t like them recommending fried fish to me. It makes want to bake fish sticks and chomp them down with grapes, watching soap operas instead. Nice people. Friendly service.

Good food. Good service. Cabo plate is my go-to. If they could prevent the black bean juice on the side from making my burrito soggy then it would be a 5 star.

Had the classic taco plate, it comes with two tacos, chips and refried beans. I’ve come here a few times and this the only thing I’ve ever had(I’m extremely picky). The tacos are really good! The tortilla has a thin layer of cheese grilled onto it, and it comes with avocado and bacon and I love both. This place is a fast food restaurant but it doesn’t necessarily feel like fast food. This location is always well stocked and clean.

Had the Cabo Plate with the burrito and taco. It hit he spot. I always loved the cilantro and green sauce that they provide. It works on any of their dishes. The pinto beans and chips finished off the combo plate. Wait was short. Food was good. It really is worth it to come here. Parking is not easy but I’m sure the owners know that already.

They have changed the menu and the smoked shrimp burrito is outstanding. The shrimp was fresh and the chipotle was just balanced well with the smokey flavor. The salsa bar is always the best. The new menu makes this look less fast food and more like a sit down meal. The updated furniture makes for nice environment. All in all good reasonable place for family.

Located in the same plaza as TJ Maxx, Ross, Cost Plus, World Market — I dropped by here for lunch. They also have Panda Express, The Habit and Subway, but I chose Rubios, and ordered the Coastal Trio(salmon, shrimp and grilled tilapia) and redeemed my free taco — chose the Langostine version. Digged the Coastal Trios tacos plate, though the salmon had too much bread fried to it. The shrimp taco was delicious, though I wished the shrimps were a little more. Liked the grilled tilapia the best — it was tender and moist with a big chunky piece. Squeezed some limes in there — delicious, healthy food! As for the free taco… The Langostine was delicious, but the portion of the protein needs to be more. It’s so deceiving when they post a nice Langostine taco with generous portions, and mine came out sad looking. Staff there is nice and friendly. You order your meal, and they call out your name or remember what you look like and bring the meal to you. Overall, I’m happily stuffed, lol!

I really like this location. It’s clean, food is great and staff have come up to me almost 4x asking if I was doing okay! Wow, what service! I’ve had their lobster burrito in the past(longastino maybe) and it was the bomb! I wish they’d bring it back soon! That was always my fave. Today I had their Mahi burrito. It was fresh grilled with grilled corn.

I love the location! Even more for having a beautiful outdoor patio :) yes it is a hot summer day, but I’ve been out of the sun for a while and I am in desperate need if a tan! Everyone here works hard and the manager here CARLOS is awesome! He’s behind the scenes, at the register, delivering the food to the patio AND still has time to check and see how everyone’s food is! That’s what I call awesome management.

*Whoosh* went the door as she pulled it open. The smell of fish tacos almost knocked her senses out. She gained herself back together, taking a few steps in to this new joint. She walked to the front so bravely. The guy up front nestles into register position. Now that I was upclose I could read his badge: Carlos! Me: «I’m gonna need a minute, it’s my first time here.» I studied the menu. There were so many options shrimp, fish, lobster, vegetarian. I didn’t know where to start. I glanced over at a salsa bar to my left. Omg… *yay* strawberry lemonade. My favorite. Carlos: «If you wait 8 minutes till 2:30pm our Taco Tuesday fish taco deal will start for just $ 1.50.» Me: «That sounds great.» I have a seat on the waiting benches next to register. I love the atmosphere here. It’s a chill place, and people are slowly trickling in for Taco Tuesday. My 1st time celebrating Taco Tuesday. Finally 2:30 came, I jumped up and ordered two fish tacos, and a strawberry lemonade. I paid less than $ 6. I was handed the lucky #3. Next, I raced to find a table. Although I love booth seating. I chose a table nestled close to a wall. A nice hiding spot to chow down. I went back to the salsa bar. The choices looked extremely fresh and inviting. There were all kinds of salsas: green, red, chipotle, and whichever other ones, I failed to mention. There were also green onion chives, jalapeños, and some more goodies. Back at my table, I waited about 5 – 7 minutes. I looked back once, and Carlos caught my glance. I think he figured out I was waiting, and hoping they didn’t forget me. I reminded myself… they are probably frying that yummy fish. Ignoring my rumbling tummy, I continued to wait. Finally another minute passes. Carlos arrives to table. Sliding two separate trays with one delicious taco in each. Oh my the tortilla wasn’t soggy, the cabbage, and sauces were a great compliment to the crunchy fried fish. In this moment, I knew that Wahoos and Las Vegas fish tacos had decieved me. These were divine! Carlos comes back to check on me. «How were those tacos?» Me: «They are super yummy,» I reply. Covering my mouth, trying not to talk with it full. After it was all gobbled down, a deep sigh of relief. That 1 taco was enough. Full and satisfied, I jumped up. I marched to the front for a bag. Back at my table, I wrap up my taco.“You’re going home with me buddy.” I said that in my head. Ain’t no crazy taco lady in this joint. I knew I was going to come back. This place won my heart. Now hopefully we’ll get that beaner badge. Lol. –Booth seating and chair options –Extremely friendly service –Place is clean. –Bathrooms avaliable –Great atmosphere –Located between a nail shop and Panda Express –Table near restrooms has outlet to charge your laptop or phone I took a refill on that strawberry lemonade. This actually tasted like strawberry lemonade. I preferred it over Wetzel Pretzel lemonade. This was the best part of my day. Will be coming back! Happy Taco Tuesday!!!

If you’re addicted to burritos like me, you may very well end up coming here one day because you have no other choice. I would rather eat a burrito instead of fast food any day. Today I ordered a shrimp burrito with a whole wheat tortilla. It really wasn’t that bad and much better than I expected. The rice and beans were nice and light, and there was a reasonable portion of grilled shrimp. Not a monstrous burrito but filling enough. I like that they post the calorie counts for each item here. Not the most unhealthy thing I could have had for a quick lunch. A little pricey at $ 8 but what can you do. Comes with free chips and the salsa is pretty good. I give it 3 stars bc it’s a chain and rather generic. Not that different from Wahoo or Baja Fresh IMO. On a scale of 1 to 10, would probably be more like a 6 – 7. Not bad, it gets the job done!

Much better! The service has definitely picked up! Love me some Taco Tuesdays! I have always been a fan of Rubio’s. Their fish tacos are great tasting and the fish portion is big. $ 1.50 every Tuesday The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. Try the Langostino burrito if you want something other than tacos.

Had fish tacos for the first time! It was my first time eating here so I was actually surprised with all the seafood options. I didn’t know what to get because everything sounded good! Luckily, Jennifer helped me out and explained the different options I could get. Thanks! So I ordered the two original fish tacos which came with tortilla chips and pinto beans. I didn’t really care for the beans though, maybe I would have enjoyed the chips more with guacamole? Anyways, I liked the tacos! They were good. I’ll be back for more!

They were super busy during lunch hour around 1:30PM and only had one cashier. The salsa bar is amazing! I love their generic red salsa — so delicious! They also have whole limes and lemons you can take. It seems that all meals come with chips which is nice. They also serve beer and wine! I love that they made their black and pinto beans with vegetarian broth — no chicken broth or lard! Their black bean & cheese burrito is SO flavorful even though it’s so simple!!! Very much vegetarian friendly! A nice option aside from Chipotle or Baja Fresh.
