I frequent this place when I go to the Americana. Service is always good and I get my coffee pretty quick. I only really drink iced or blended coffee drinks because I like my drinks ice cold. The blended mocha here is better tasting than Starbucks, it has a more chocolaty taste compared to Starbucks frapps being overly sweet. I am an official coffee addict, so the coffee here, and most places are not quite strong enough for me, but it hits the spot for the time being. This location is small and at the end of the Americana facing the street on the backside. There are a few locations and it’s pretty rare to find an open seat. You are better off taking your coffee, tea, whatever you ordered to-go and walk around The Americana, or go browse the bookstore. I do not know why, but you are charged tax when you order your drink for«here». I always order to-go so it is the cost that is on the board. Will you find me here again? You bet. About 75% of the times I come to The Americana I stop here and get my coffee fix! Just remember to order to-go to save some change on tax!

I absolutely love this Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. It is very convenient as it is right near my job. The staff is so kind and friendly and they really make an effort to get to know their regulars. They have a great tea selection to choose from year round. My favorites right now are Winter Dream Latte and Hot Chocolate. I have been obsessed with the Winter Dream latte ever since it came out earlier this season. It is my go to drink right now. They occasionally will mess up your drink but rarely. Usually it’s the new people who mess up a lot. That’s why I’m giving them 4 stars and not 5. The store can get pretty busy because it is located at The Americana, but the wait is worth it. I am extremely picky when it comes to coffee shops and which ones I will go to, and this particular Coffee Bean is definitely my go to.

I can spend hours just talking and sitting with my friends in that place. It is such a cozy and welcoming place. For some reason the chai tea latte I had there today tasted like the best chai tea latte I have ever had!

Best lattes ever! So foamy and creamy and made just the way you like it! I always order the vanilla bean chai latte or Vanilla latte both are so good.

The service here is great — one of the workers here, Lucy, is super friendly and always on top of it. I study here all the time and I have never had a problem. :)

Their service is superb !!! Every time I come to this place they don’t disappoint. My brother tried a new drink and he didn’t quite like it. They offered him a new drink right away. They are super nice and don’t make you feel uncomfortable for changing a drink. Very good tea options ! Their hot chocolate is the best one compared to other coffee places. Always get my hot chocolate from Coffee Bean

4 stars because they are a store of particularly cordial folks that go out of their way, really out of their way sometimes, to provide great service. The 5th star is because they put up with some of the worst people you can see in food service.

The only reason they have 2 stars is because their morning staff during the week is AWESOME. For the last 2 weekends I was told that I could mix the sugar and milk myself when I asked specifically if they could mix it for me. I never complain, I just say«that’s fine.» This is particularly frustrating because they never seem to have an issue with it during the week. Today I ordered my drink the same way and the cashier said the same thing she says every weekend: «You can do it yourself» except today I replied: I enjoy my coffee better when you guys do it, due to it being mixed evenly; so they did. But as I picked up my coffee the Barista said: «It’s okay if I do it for you when we’re slow but when we’re busy we wont.» I proceeded to point at the sign above her head that says: we will make it the way you want it guaranteed. Then I told her: «Don’t worry, I won’t come on weekends anymore» and walked out. She’s probably still standing there with her mouth open.(I believed her name is Elena) It’s disappointing that they treat me this way considering I stop there everyday for coffee before work. For the recorded, please hire more people like Yesenia, she’s pleasant, efficient, and hard working.

Not a fan of this SoCal chain. Their drip coffee barely gave me a much needed caffeine boost and their light roast had a burnt taste to it. $ 1.99 for a medium isn’t bad. I believe it’s what Starbucks charges. However if you’re used to third wave coffee(Blue Bottle, Intelligentsia, etc.) then you will be much disappointed.

I definitely love The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf; this location is basically the same like all the others. They have kind and friendly service and they have a good amount of tables and chairs. Others may say they’re overpriced, but I still believe that Coffee Bean has a better quality taste than Starbucks. That’s just my opinion.

Overpriced ordinary coffee. Since I don’t care for S-bucks I went to this store when I was visiting my son. I ordered what I always order, a small double(in S-bucks that would be tall double) almond milk(in S-bucks that would be soy milk) cappuccino. It cost $ 4.50! WTF? At Peet’s it costs $ 3.85. C-Bean charges more for almond(and presumably soy) milk than any other coffee shop I know, and also start out charging more for their coffee. Then the barrista says as she’s making the drink that the almond milk doesn’t foam as well as milk-milk so it will be more like a latte. If I wanted a latte I would have ordered a latte. And just for the record, Peet’s stores manage to foam their almond milk quite well, as do some indie coffee shops I like in San Diego. Sadly there wasn’t a Peet’s nearby. There had been one in the Galleria but apparently it closed. I will avoid all Coffee Bean shops from now on.

Coffee bean you’re my new favorite coffee shop… shhh. No! Never mind I’m not ssshhhhing myself. I’ll tell the whole world, well, the whole Unilocal community world. Lol. If there were more locations out there than Starbucks I think I would’ve opened an account for the rewards program a long time ago… now I have Starbucks(no complaints, yet). However, I was told that this location in general does not accept the rewards card, which is pointless because this location is the closest to me when in need. So…service here pretty good. Quite busy most of the time and area is a little cramped but hey can’t be picky right. Foods are basic café-ish type of food, although not much on actual real food options or sandwiches compared to Starbucks. So it’s a hit or miss. Now let’s go for the drinks. I have not tried all and I don’t really need or want to but I can say they are yummy!!! I love their tea infused options. What places besides Urth Café offers a vanilla rooibus no sugar added tea latte iced/hot? I know no one except this place. The drink itself is already sweetened enough and doesn’t leave you with a horrible tea taste. Oh and the pear Berry is incredible on a hot day, just ask for light ice. Those are my 2 faves… although around Xmas time they do have a red velvet hot chocolate which is pretty good. Sorry for my rant… Enjoy my review :)

The gentleman at the register provided us with outstanding customer service from beginning to end. Even when his patience was being tested while serving the customer before us, he was calm and sincere. Their drinks were on point and I never have to worry about the quality. If I am in the area again and I want to get my Coffee Bean fix, I will be sure to stop by here.

Been a while since I’d hit a SoCal CB&TL. After a good solid dinner down the way, I needed the caffeine to wake myself up for a long night. So we headed down here to get some. Got a blended chai, Ah as good as I remember it. This place is a lot smaller than I thought it would be so it gets backed up while people are trying to wait for their order into the cashier line. However the cashiers are cheery and dont let people disrupt their flow. Solid as I remember

Fun little place to grab a quick coffee while shopping. If you want to get amazing loose leaf tea, then look no further! I love the coffee and especially when you ask for a french press. The best thing to go with my coffee is a fresh baked pastry. I love how flaky and buttery the crossiants are. The best thing about this location is the baristas! The customer service here is fantastic. I am welcomed when I walk in and promptly served with excellence. I appreciate the late hours that this location has so I have somewhere to grab a delicious drink anytime of the day.

Quick service this morning. The cashier was nice and offered the samples of coffee bread to me. I ordered the café vanilla and it was done within minutes. The place its self was very clean. Thank you for my morning cup of coffee.

This is why I go to Starbucks. Came here Christmas day while waiting to watch a movie because it was the only thing opened at the Americana that served hot drinks, so I went in, long ass line. I ordered a hot chocolate and they gave me a white hot chocolate. Close enough. It was ok. They use non-fat milk to make all their drinks, which is why it doesn’t taste as good. They should ask their customers what kind of milk they want their drinks made, or at least say«Is non-fat milk, ok?» The girl that was making the drinks was too serious. But it’s fine girl, I feel you. I’m a part time barista myself. Fk customers like me haha.

Coffee Bean has one of the best tea selections that I have ever experienced in a corporate chain coffee shop and their new flavored iced coffees,(while nothing to rival Dunkin’s) are pretty good too. They have a nice selection of pastries and sweets and even if you didnt come to Coffee Bean to get something to eat its hard to pass them by without your tummy at least grumbling. This location is nice. Its pretty small, I wouldn’t recommend it if you were looking to study, pretend to work on your screenplay or meet with a group of people. Its relatively narrow and there isn’t a whole lot of seating. However its great for a quick cup of coffee. The lines usually much shorter than both the Nordstrom Ebar and the Starbucks/Barnes and Noble Café(good luck trying to get coffee there on a weekend) and the service is quick. Also as we head into fall… nothing like a Moroccan Mint Tea Latte to warm you up to your toes :) Delish!
