Pros: A healthy option for Disney employees and their guests with a variety of options and very reasonably priced for what you get. There’s usually a fish option which is great. If you are In what to eat get one of their amazing pizzas! Friendly staff and plenty of out door seating. Cons: If you are going for lunch be there at 11:45 to avoid a huge line, even then it’s not uncommon for them to sell out of the main entrée by 12:15. If you have a common name like Kim, give an initial for your last name or they’ll give your food to the first Kim in earshot The layout of the interior is poorly laid out, after ordering everyone randomly stands around causing traffic problems and crowding the few guests seated at the few indoor tables. If only there was a division of the company nearby that had experience with guest management and queue design… The majority of the food is great, but I don’t get the shepherds pie without the pie or meat lasagna with almost no meat. Suggestions: needs Managment overhaul.

Oh my! This place is a gem! The service is superb and the food is spectacular! We had the frog legs because I was feeling adventurous and my dad grew up hunting and eating them. He said they were the best he ever had and they truly were so delicious! The prices were very reasonable too. Lots of exotic and simple choices–

I’ve been here a handful of times for different reasons and I always enjoy this place when I go. I have been just for dinner, but I am usually going on a friday night to listen to the live music. It is usually the same guy every friday, but last weekend was someone different. Both are enjoyable. It is a very relaxed and mellow place to hang out on a weekend night. There service is always good. I took one star away because the food is good, but nothing spectacular. We don’t usually eat when we go here. Definitely recommend this place though!

Check out Two Saucy Broads or Big Slice better beer and better pizza. Thanks Patio for jamming flyers down our car windows and leaving flyers in the gutter in front of our house that’s the best way to not get return business.

Pretty fun spot! Thin crust pizza is amazing and so are the entrees! There is a huge patio for seating and the drinks are free! Unlimited fountain drinks makes this place awesome for lunch just beware lines can be long if you show up right at 12 and you order and pay at the register, average wait time around lunch is 15 – 20 for the food.

AMAZING! I ate the Poached Pear with Walnut Salad, and it was like heaven in my mouth. I’ve eaten here before and it’s always delicious but this time it was incredibly good! If you happen to go to this place and they have it on the menu(because they rotate plates daily) try it, it’s the best salad I’ve probably ever had.(I wanted to lick the plate when I was done because they had closed already and I didn’t have the chance to buy another one to take home.)

I always look forward to a healthy breakfast or tasty lunch from the patio. Sure it can have long lines and not a lot of people working, but they always deliver fast and with perfect presentation. The head chef is also an experience to remember. He’s a delight to talk with and get to know but also very accommodating and anticipates your needs. If you’re a regular or just stopping in for a bite, you’ve found the best spot to eat!

Best Disney cafeteria in Glendale! It’s a little bit of a walk from GC3, but totally worth it! The only downside is that you need to plan your time to get there to make sure it’s not at 12, otherwise the line and wait is quite long. But that’s a testament to how good the food is there. I also wish they’d move to a number system rather than names, with so many people there it gets loud and it’s often hard to hear your name. Especially with a very common name.

This is a Disney cast member only bistro on the Disneytoon and Television Animation campus in Glendale. It is also across the Disney Imagineering campus. This is one of the best perks in working here. They serve breakfast and lunch. The limited lunch menu is excellent. They have gourmet pizzas, excellent salads, sandwiches and soup plus the chef always has 2 – 3 specials, one always being a fish dish which are my favorites. Recently they served Lake Superior whitefish, which is a treat for me being from the Great Lakes area. Today I had the Calamari steak & shrimp, which was delicious. If you work for Disney or have a friend with the company who can get you in for lunch, you should give it a try.

On the TV Animation campus of the Walt Disney Company is a commissary that warrants more than 2 stars! The Patio reflects more of the vibe all the commissaries this company should have. I had a meeting on campus and was told I should come early and eat at The Patio and I’m glad I did! It’s a pretty small commissary when first coming in which isn’t surprising as the the TVA campus isn’t large anyhow. It feels very much like a cozy café with fewer choices, but most of the menu options sounded really good. I opted for a pizza which had a very thin and crispy crust, packed with fresh ingredients, and the cheese was not over or underwhelming. The food took a little longer to make than I had anticipated, but fresh to order is nicer than slightly reheated and sitting around under heat lamps. My pizza wasn’t greasy, and they had a couple of olive oil choices which I took the extra virgin and lightly topped my pizza. It was delicious and made me perfectly content even though it was a fairly large pizza and I was wondering if I was going to be in a food coma afterward. Seating outside was really nice though it would have been nice to have the tables be a bit further apart. I don’t think The Patio is open to the general public, I think it’s a Disney establishment. It’s a shame as this area of Glendale doesn’t have a lot to offer like this which the city should do something about with how many creative people are working in the area. If you are looking for a place to eat and don’t work for Disney, you’re likely out of luck on this one!

Dining at the patio is one of the hidden gems at Disney Toon Studios. You would need to be a member of the Mickey Mouse Club to get pass through the security guard. I been there two separate times. First time, was magical but the second time was so magical. As you order your food at the cashier. There’s chef specials daily. I had the grilled Opah on a bed of quinoa with green onions, corn, and tomatoes. The chef will hand you the dish. It was absolutely delicious! There’s also a regular menu with pizza, sandwiches, salad, and soup! I would definitely recommend their fish selection. Also, drinks are free! So if you know someone that is a member, try the Patio out. :)

We’re so lucky to have this gem in our backyard. I’ve eaten here sporadically since they opened but I had lunch there every day this week and it was a delight each time — not surprising with the great kitchen staff under the guidance of a gourmet chef. The roasted chicken is always delicious(my favorite) as are the sides that accompany them, the salads are abundant and filled with unique flavor profiles and combinations and the soups will satisfy even the chilliest bones. As stated before, the pizza oven is filled with delectable pies and everything is made to order.

If you work at Disney, you should be eating lunch here. From fresh made to order thin crust pizzas to savory salads and sandwiches to a daily changing restaurant quality entrée this eatery has something for everyone. Everything is reasonable priced and comes with a free fountain drink. I swear by the salad combinations and dressings. They are absolutely fantastic and this is coming from a «not really a salad person» chick. I especially love the lemon based vinaigrettes. I can’t believe I’ve yet to try one of the pizzas but I can vouch for their deliciousness, I promise. They have several selections everyday but you can also create your own. The same goes for their sandwiches which also come with a cup of soup or slaw. Lucio, the main chef, is also an absolute doll and willingly to do what it takes to make your lunch enjoyable.

I’m a fan! This commissary reminds me of the one at Pixar. You order your food up front and wait for it to be prepared rather than going up to individual stations. You can tell they put care and take pride in the creation and preparation of the dishes. P. S. The soft drinks are complimentary!

This place is damn good. Its not open to the public — only to Disney employees or guests. First, the food here is amazing. Everything is freshly prepared just after you order it from the menu. While you wait, you can even watch at the counter as they prepare your salad, PIZZA(amazing pizza selections), and entrees. They have a wide selection of things to choose from and I have yet to find something I havent liked. The head chef is always there and making sure things are cooked and presented properly. I usually come here and get the Fungi pizza or a Cobb salad and its amazing. The best part is the value for the money. I feel like I always get my monies worth and cant wait to be back again. THANKS!

woah, wait, the Patio is on Unilocal?Isn’t that a little unfair to the good folks who don’t have a magic mouse ID? oh well. For those employees who CAN get in, you are a lucky bunch indeed. Back before this café was active my boss had the good fortune of being one of the local employees picked to help choose the head chef, and he came back from the tasting raving about this one guy in particular — all the rest were meh. I thought, sheesh, it’s just a commissary, how great can it be? but sure enough, that’s the man they hired for the job and the Patio, with its stellar reputation, was born. The day to day menu keeps the same staples(sandwiches which come with soup or slaw, two sizes of salads, a variety of pizzas) with rotating specials which usually include a chicken/meat option and fish. Breakfast is also a nice perk — bagel with lox on fridays? yes please. Breakfast Burrito Thursdays are notably a huge hit. Recently they also added a freezer of gelato, a good sized portion for two bucks! The temptation is often overwhelming, especially in this first summer of the Patio’s existence. I usually stick with the vegetarian options, especially the pizza which is always a surprise. They throw whatever they have in stock /in season on it, which means sometimes you get asparagus and eggplant, sometimes you get potato(?!) and spinach, but it’s always yummy.(Especially with a shot of sriracha.) My only complaint about this place is that I often get the aforementioned burrito sans meat and ask for extra tomato or something to make up for it. Depending on who’s ringing me up, or whether or not the guy preparing the food is super busy(which happens, and is forgivable), sometimes I’ll get extra goodies and sometimes I won’t. One memorable day I got a side of fruit for free, but the next week? not so much. I hope they didn’t get in trouble for that! Edit: I almost forgot, when I was across the street at Mickey’s of Glendale one of the employees was talking about going to Imagineering for lunch and her coworker basically said«oh heck no, go to the Patio, it’s a billion times better.»

How many people can say they can have freshly prepared soups, salads, sandwiches, and pizzas for lunch? The Patio combines a diverse menu with high quality and fresh ingredients to deliver a new level of amazing food. Much like other Disney commissaries, The Patio is staffed by a contracted company with one exception: the chef, who is an employee of the animation studio in which The Patio resides. This means he answers to no one! The other downside is that you must be a Disney employee(or guest of an employee) in order to get onto the campus… but if you ever find yourself wondering what else is out there in the realm of studio foods, come enjoy a meal at The Patio. By the way, ginger ale is part of the soda fountain selection. You know what goes well with ginger ale? Whiskey. #justsayin
