Lots of doctors these days treat you like a dollar sign. The more they see, the more they make. Dr. Tekkelian is one of the special ones, who didn’t forget about the most important part of being a doctor. the humanistic part. She is very caring, and your appointments aren’t rushed. She takes her time, and is very thorough. She takes pride and puts her whole heart in every patient she sees. After every visit with her, I leave with the big smile on my face. Thank you Dr. Tekkelian for all that you do.

Those who found Dr. Tsovinar on a website where her reviews were high, let this be a heads up(because that’s how I got myself in this mess). First off, the address is wrong. It’s 1251 south Glendale Ave. wish someone would’ve let me know before I went for my first appointment(thank you receptionist). If you’re claustrophobic like me, you will hate this place. When I walked in there, there weren’t even any seats left to sit on. The clientele seems to be composed only of old Armenians. So that was fun to be stared at for 20 minutes. No A/C. Also fun to be standing in a cesspool of warm germs. Nurse wearing flip flops. Why. Literally just left without seeing the doctor, I was so grossed out.

Worst patient service. I called in at 1:56pm asking for an appointment because my left arm as been hurting for 3 days. So the lady said«she as appointment available after 5 weeks» then she said«ohh it’s 2 o clock, it’s our lunch time please call after 3» and I hanged up. Nice!

Made appointment on August, date set a month away in September. Come September, I called a day before to confirm the appointment. Confirmed. Thirty minutes before the scheduled appointment, they called me saying doctor has emergency and she canceled. Rescheduled for next week. The next week, a day before appointment they called and left a voicemail saying the doctor canceled AGAIN. I should send them a bill for wasting my time.

This review is not for the doctors check up(since I couldn’t make a first appointment) but for the customer service I received when I tried to make one. I called because I was referred by my insurance company(he is on my provider list). The person who answered the phone was extremely rude. At first I couldn’t understand her so I asked her to repeat herself, and she started raising her voice at me. Then I kindly asked her if I had the right number and mentioned the doctors name since she answered the phone«office…». So I asked again, do I have the doctors office, and is this Dr. Tekkelian Tsovinar’s office? And she said«its the MD!»…back and forth… at this point I asked her name kindly and she wouldn’t give it to me. dialogue: me: «may I ask you name?», she: «what;s your name! and who is this!!» I then at that point(about 8 minutes into the conversation) I told her I didn’t need an appointment anymore and hung up.
