Love this place! Anna was our bartender, she’s funny and makes great drinks. We hung out with local Mark and when he was ready to go, Anna called him an Über. It’s a hole in the wall but with really good customer service and a good vibe. We would definitely come back!

Super mellow place. Lots of regulars which is cool. Old folks too. Somo is a beauty and makes every drink, and your day, better just by handing it to you.

Came here recently for a walk down memory lane(used to live within walking distance), and we had so much fun we came back the following week for my boyfriends birthday. There is karaōke every Friday and Saturday night at 10pm. The bartenders gave my boyfriend a free birthday shot, the karaōke DJ put on a Happy Birthday song and the patrons sang along with us to celebrate. We love this dive bar– it’s a gem and we had a blast!

This is a great dive bar. Strong cheaper drinks is always good. They have happy hour free food on occasion too. I go here from time to time because it’s a laid back environment where you can get a quick bite and a drink. They have karaōke on some nights as well.

Went here for karaōke for a friend’s farewell gathering. Was kind of worried about not getting a drink because I was the one who drove so I ended up getting a vodka cranberry. There wasn’t any cranberry… karaōke was just ok. The music was way too loud, I couldn’t even hear myself sing. Otherwise, it’s a neat little place but I don’t think I will go back.

I came here for the karaōke, and it was awesome. They have many songs in their book to choose from. I didn’t really like that they put on the screen«Please TIP your KJ& server» I get that they need to make a living, but to do that seems tacky. I get that people should ask for what they want though. It was extremely hot in there. Do they have AC? Their women’s restroom was clean, and had a funny sign next to it. The bartender lacked customer service. My experience of her was miserable and that she really didn’t want to be there. Parking is lame there… oh, and what’s with«$ 10 minimum on credit cards AND a $ 2 service fee» ??? No thank you. Ill come back, but I really find that to be annoying. The volume is also way too loud. Also, my friend who doesn’t drink soda and hardly ever drinks alcohol asks for iced tea, and they dont have it. Um, shouldn’t a bar have every type of drink? Capri bar & grill in Orange has coffee! But I guess that’s because they have food there too. I get that people shouldn’t just go in there and sit and sing and not order anything. They are a business and they need to make money. But they also need to have beverages that accommodate to the NON drinkers!!!

My girl’s and I went to have a few drinks and play pool and some drunken moron approaches one of my friends to tell her«that her kind» is not welcome there and to leave we stay awhile than we’re about to leave the same moron trys to start a fight with three females the bartenders did not help they were drunk out of their of mine as well so my friends and I will NEVER go there again and I will tell all of my friends and family to NEVER go there again I stick up for what I believe in and my people #GayPride #F*ckWinchesterRoom

If I could have done negative stars I would have. it was Saturday night, after 10pm. Thought we would go to Karaōke at the Winchester room. I haven’t been there since the remodel, my husband has been there a few times since. Back in the day we used to go every weekend. This is the second bar we have been too, since Karaōke starts so late we had dinner and drinks beforehand. So my husband sends out a mass text to all our local friends to meet us there after 10pm for Karaōke. So the 3 of us walk in(around 10:30pm –took FOREVER to find parking) and the bar has a number people, there are about 3 – 4 tables empty and some with just one person, we don’t mind sharing. There are quite a few empty seats at the bar as well. We saw one of our friends and he motioned for us to sit down. I am driving, and am tired of drinking water and juice, I don’t order anything yet. My husband quickly get ups and grabs a book and puts his name on the list, he wants to sing. My other friend getting over being sick, she was there for support, and audience as my husband performs. Once my husband picks his song he goes to the bar and gets a beer and sits down.(Only good point, the groups of people there were really nice and friendly. Some awesome singing was heard and the KJ seemed to be really nice and approachable as well(I was eventually planning on singing as well). We are enjoying the music and one of the employees comes and cards my 30 year old friend, grabs her id, looks at her, the id, her then the ID. walks into a different light, then looks at my friend again. asks how old she is. etc. my friend starts getting embarrassed, I mean. REALLY? The photo is only 3 years old. she is 30 and looks the same. so enough about that embarrassment. My husband gets called up to sing(he does a great job), he leaves his beer at the table with me. but while he is up there one of the bar employees again comes around asking. what we want to drink-I told her I am driving I don’t want any alcohol, she says I need/have to order something. again. I say I am the driver, no drinking for me… my friend totally embarrassed at this point(after she was literally put under an interrogation lamp). isn’t sure she even wants to drink there anymore. says nothing right now and I say, well my husband is drinking beer here, and he likes to drink so I am sure he will order more once he is done singing and drinking his current beer. SHETHENTELLSMETHETABLESAREFORPEOPLEDRINKINGNOTJUSTSITTINGTHERE(the one beer wasn’t enough for her) ANDSHEISSAVINGITFORDRINKINGCUSTOMERS, AND I NEEDTOGO.(I looked around, there were other tables, more seats at the bar and NO one standing looking for a table/chairs).SHE was totally rude and out of line. we hadn’t been sitting at the table for even that long. I mean really??? Pay up or leave. so much for the beer and or other drinks our friends who were on their way were going to buy. So I told the lady, well once my husband finishes singing(Karaōke), and he finishes his beer we will leave. I was so pissed. so much for enjoying the later part of my evening and for bringing in business. So we massed texted our other friends to NOT come to this bar and to meet us at the old Michael’s bar in Burbank now called Los Amigos Restaurant Bar and Grill. We had a great time there, KJ was awesome. staff didn’t harass me for drinks. my husband got a few more beers, my other friends showed up, we found a table, and I eventually even got a non-alcoholic drink. Because I wasn’t pressured. Bad Move!

Walked up the street for a kick back time and got way more than we asked for. Good prices on beer, happy hour starts at 5 till 8. And they had a full spread of free food! Bartenders are fun and attentive. I mean… this is 5 stars.

Super fun karaōke on Sats… Lily and Anna always make me feel welcome. The new renovations really cleaned it up, I feel safe and have a blast every time I visit. I hope they get a smoking patio out back, it would make it a 5 star dive bar!

Great little dive bar in Burbank. Was killing the place with awesome tunes on the jukebox and then rolls in karaōke douchebag with his Star Trek friends and shuts off the music to play his extremely loud fucking Tears for Fears. Sure the night may seem a success when he brings in his Dungeons and Dragons play group to completely transform the mood but I wonder how many people leave once they realize that it’s karaōke night. I cannot wait for karaōke to vanish into memory again.

Winchester Room recently went through a change in ownership. Don’t worry though, it’s still the same old dive bar trying to be fancy, it’s like Joan Rivers trying to be young… Nobody’s buying it Joan. While some of us regulars will probably always miss the way it was, I feel that the updates are probably upgrades in most people’s eyes. They put in laminate flooring in place of the old smelly carpet, tore out the booths and tossed the old red polyurethane couch, and put in a bunch of high boys and stools, and they even got a new pool table. Despite these changes(and the cute new uniforms the bartenders are sporting) they still have karaōke on Friday & Saturday nights, Betty Boop is still keeping watch over the place, and although there has been a recent influx of 21-year old/can’t hold their liquor types, the old regular crowd is still around… so it still feels like home. It remains my number one favorite bar in the Greater LA area. No laminate flooring could change what we have Winchester. I loved you before your facelift and I’ll still love you when the paint begins to peel. You had me at hello.

I’ve only been here twice. The first time sucked because I had just lost my fucking job and some drunk ass douchebag kept telling me how much it sucked and how the job market sucked, and how bills were going to start piling up, etc… I finally turned around and said«GRANDMA! Stop fucking with me before I have security toss your old ass up out of here!» The second time was great! Walked in ordered my usual Bud Light(because i’m Mexican and represent like that), sat down and watched some cute girl sing some Lady GaGa shit. I struck up a conversation with a group of youngsters sitting next to me, next thing I knew they were buying me beers, asking me about my tattoos and the meaning of life and other wacky shit, all while having a great time. The joint is close to my house so I have to make a point of hitting it more often. The only reason I didn’t give the place 5 stars is because parking sucks the dick of a hobo.

One of my new favorite dives. The crowd is a super cool, eclectic mix that spans the gamut from town drunk to prissy entitled jewish princess, but everybody gets along great. The Karaōke is a blast, with a great selection, and mild effects on the vocals to help. Decently priced, standard drinks, and a great atmoshphere.

Let’s get ratchet, well just a little bit. Stopped in here to pre-party before the party. Good thing my friend knew the area because I would have overlooked it by a mile. Great place to stop in for a few drinks and shoot some pool. We had the table to ourselves– awesome. Would def recommend if your in the area and your looking for a good place to dive.

I went on a Friday night at midnight with a +1. –This was a very casual, low key bar. It’s not fancy. Don’t expect to find love at this place. lol –Mixed crowd: old people, and young people. –It was a humble bar with billiards and karaōke. –Many different people sang and like others have previously said, everyone is supportive and nice! –Lot of rock, alternative rock, and oldies/soulful song choices. –Cheapest well drink I got = $ 5 –Cheapest beer on tap=$ 5 –credit/debit card $ 10 minimum! Parking was pretty easy. The lot wasn’t crazy at all when we left around 2am so the previous person who mentioned this problem might’ve gone on one of those busy nights. I’d definitely come here to sing and get my confidence up some more before I hit Hollywood where all the younger, more-critical crowds are at. This is a good place to «practice» & just have fun and let go without worrying.

This place is a favorite of some of my close friends. I’ve been here maybe three or four times total and it’s fun. Everyone there seems to know each other, it’s got a total«Cheers» vibe which is nice to have in LA. I’m only knocking off two stars because I had one bad experience there and I hope it doesn’t ruin anyone else’s. I got sick after drinking one of their beers on tap, and found out it may have been a dirty tap. It turned me off from drinking there too often. I’d recommend drinking bottled in the future because I never had a bad experience with bottled before.

Warner: Check your bank statements. They charged me double what I agreed to pay on my receipt. I have to wait till Thursday night to talk with the manager and hope this gets resolved. I was with a huge group for a party that happens here every year so it’s a little off putting to want to go back next year.
