Glendora Smiles Dentistry and Orthodontics

Very nice dentist office but be very careful here. Their whole entire process is to up sell… They’ll give you your standard check up then come in with the salesmen. If you’re not listening, you’ll end up paying a few hundred dollars for things that are merely «recommended».
The entire staff here is very friendly except for Rose. She puts up the fake smile and the friendly «hello» on the phone…(they have caller ID, she’ll occasionally send you to their answering service if she’s not in the mood)
The work done here is very good and they will fix anything that is not to your liking…
I love this place, very clean and professional.
Only issue I have there is Rose, very horrible follow up and «I’m right, your wrong» attitude.
I’ve even seen her snap at a new girl in the office for asking a basic question, all while rolling her eyes (very unprofessional on her part)…
Not sure exactly what her dept is there but whenever I decide to follow up on things because she has failed to, I get the «I left you a message» nonsense…
Would be a 5 star dentist but it loses 1 for the Up-​Selling… And another for the Rose issue.

Not returning to this used car sales lot. After having a wrongly sized crown put in after having a root canal that I feel wasn’t even necessary they refused to fix their mistake, instead said I had to pay full price for a new crown if I wanted it replaced. This crown did not fit from day 1, and they pushed it off as they found more and more non existent problems with my teeth… My teeth have been very good my entire life and a couple years at this place and all the sudden I need 3 root canals… RUN! I’m gone from this smiles generation scam trap… Leaving with my family of 5, good job on chasing paying customers away!

The Dr. are great –5 stars. However the front staff rose and the billing department are terrible. They say they are going to call back but they never do. It is very expensive, and no you do not get what you pay for. I was attracted to this place because it clean and the dr. Are very nice, however they always up sell their product and recommend this and that and then ur bills end up in the 1000 or hundreds if you lucky. I have a very good dental insurance and still everytime I go there I still left with a bill for couple hundred. There are better place that are clean, dr. Is Great, and same quality of work for a whole lots cheaper price. So if you have tons of money and don’t know what to do with it then go here.

I’m just now finishing up my visit here and I must say the facility is very nice. It’s clean and the staff is very friendly. Come here with the same mentality as you would going to a used car lot. I explained I want the services my insurance covers only, nothing more. They are still trying to get me for 675 and my husband for 900. I’ll be calling my insurance and requesting a new dentist.

This place is awesome the staff is super friendly and the office is huge they have everything you need here. love the fact that you could have same day crowns.

I went to Glendora Smiles last Saturday and was very surprised how nice this office was, Sonia at the front desk is super friendly and courteous. Dr Darbro is very thorough and takes the time to listen. I am glad I found this office and plan to stay on as a patient, highly recommend if you need dentist give this office a try. Bonus when you check in there is a special offer for first time patients.

I don’t like going to the dentist but Glendora Smiles makes it the best trip to the dentist you can have thanks to all the staff and especially Rose. Rose was friendly, very helpful and patient with me making a decision about what to do based on my budget. I was given choices that would fit my budget for what I needed done. I have gotten braces now thanks to Rose and very happy with the service I get from the orthodontia staff. Thanks Rose keep up the great work, you’re the only reason I keep going back.

If I could rate this place below one star, I would do it in a heartbeat.
I was sent a letter by this office’s (not my insurance) billing department stating that I had owed them $ 50.00 on 12/​12/​2015. It also stated I only had a week to pay for it. My wife is on my insurance, so needless to say, my wife and I were concerned because I had not seen this office in a year, so we called to make sure it wasn’t a mistake.
My wife attempted to get a hold of them a couple of days later (it took 2 – 3 attempts) and one of the front office employees told her that the office does not know why there was a charge on my account, but exclaimed that they would speak with the manager, Inoka, and get back to her. Of course, no correspondence was given on the day that she called, so we waited for a couple of days for them to get back to us… no call. So, I decided to contact them 12÷21÷15.
I call their office at 9:45−10AM PST on Monday 12÷21÷15, and Rose the front office employee answers the phone. After my greetings, I immediately tell her that I am calling to inquire about, and dispute, a charge on my account. She pulls up my file on their database and states that the claim was for my wife, and she added that «the insurance company did not pay the dental claim being made because your birthday’s are mixed up». After stating that, Rose gave me the claim date and the reason behind the mistaken charges being made. Fantastic, now I can fix it… Wrong!!!
I called my insurance a minute after I got off of the phone with Rose from Glendora Smiles. Of course after giving my personal information, Monica my insurance agent picked up the phone and I asked her about the claim on my account by Glendora. Monica stated, «Sir, we only have one claim for your wife on May 22, 2015 and we paid what they (Glendora Smiles) were billing for, the majority of the bill was paid by PDS». She added, «We have both your wife’s birthday and yours down correctly, and they are the same birthday dates as the one’s given to you by Glendora Smiles… I am not sure why they are telling you that…» End of our phone conversation.
Needless to say, I am a little perturbed by this mishap, so I call Glendora Smiles back… No answer… I give them three more calls back, still no answer. After three tries from my cellphone, I decided to use a landline… No answer… It was now 10:30−45 AM and I just got off the phone with Glendora Smiles 30 – 45 mins ago to speak with my insurance about the claim being charged on my account and there was no answer by Glendora Smiles. Mind you Glendora Smiles Dentistry’s hours are 8 – 5 today, so now I am livid.
I immediately looked up their Headquarters phone number on my letter that was sent by Glendora Smiles and contacted one of their reps. THEY HAD TO TRANSFER ME TO THE OFFICE IN ORDER FOR THE PHONE CALL TO BE CONNECTED! After 3 rings, Inoka (the manager) picks up the phone.
She makes her greetings… I make mine… They weren’t pleasant.
I started my conversation with, I have been trying to get a hold of your office for quite some time today, and no one has been picking up. She states back to me, «I don’t know how that had been happening, but thank you for notifying me, I will have to get tech support on that…» So my rebuttal was, so you are telling me you have been having phone troubles all day and more people than just myself have had this problem today?! She stated, «well you are the only one who has brought this to our attention…» I’m thinking how convenient! I am calling about a dispute and the phone goes completely haywire on your end.
In any event, I say some choice words to her (no cussing or yelling) and then SHE HAS THE AUDACITY TO RAISE HER VOICE AT ME; saying, this is a place of business we wouldn’t shut our phones off for you. I told her, you are right but no one was answering… In short, I asked to speak with her manager, she told she was the manager. So I asked her to let me speak to your regional manager. She stated, «I have no one above me»… Right…
After our conversation she said that she would call my insurance because «they are the ones who made the mistake». Come to find out after she called me back, she exclaims that Glendora Smile’s billing department screwed up.
All that, for just a simple $ 50 charge… Wow! Do me a favor, repeat after me, NEVER LIE TO THE CLIENT AND ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK YOUR FACTS BEFORE YOU ACT!!!
If this is how you do business, I don’t want it. I’m conducting my business somewhere else.

Part of my tooth broke off. I went to Glendora Smiles and the dentist looked at the x-​ray and told me I needed a root canal and a crown. I did not want to go through that procedure so I told her to pull it out instead, thinking that the tooth was bad since it needed the root canal. She said I had to see the oral surgeon to have the tooth pulled. OK. I saw Dr. Anderson. He looked at the x-​ray and said OK he would pull the tooth but I had to be sedated. I did not want to be sedated so I said I had to think about it and left.
A friend suggested getting a 2^nd opinion, which I did. I chose a dentist who has his own private practice. He took an x-​ray and said the bone and the root on the tooth are very very good. All that broke was the old filling and a small amount of tooth on the side. He said all that should be done is remove the old filling and repack it, then put a crown on it.
Glendora Smiles refused to email my x-​rays to my new dentist.

My favorite dentist of all! Dr. Darbaro is amazing! He does great work, is gentle, and has the best personality! I can’t say enough great things about him. His staff was also friendly and professional, and it’s a clean, good looking office. I have recommended Glendora Smiles to all my family already.

As a fist timer, I paid only $ 59 for full X-​Rays, Check Up and a cleaning
The facility is immaculately clean.
I didn’t have to wait more than 5 minutes before having my X-​Rays/​Procedures taken.
The Dentist was super nice
The Dental Hygienist, Kayla, was super awesome.
Only one Con, I was hoping to speak to someone about Invisaline, but sadly they do not have it available.
I would highly recommend this place to family and friends.

The dentist and staff were very professional and friendly. My dental insurance paid for most of my treatment which was great. They also have 6 month interest free credit– The office was very clean and nice. I would recommend them to my family and friends.

This dental office is awesome. The people are very nice. They try to make the experience enjoyable. When I was in pain they took care of it right away (numbed the area). They gave me a plan to tackle the areas that needed the most work. The price was a little high but I think that also had a lot to do with my insurance. So far a very enjoyable experience.

My 80 year old mom had work done to get dentures and they ripped her off. The never delivered her denture and left her with a temporary. She also had her mouth scalded with some chemical and now she can’t eat. Worst dentist ever. Do not use them! You will get burned!

This place is horrible!!! I worked for a company that had excellent benefits for me and my family. My husband went in for a regular check up and they charged him $ 300 for unnecessary treatment!!! This place is BS, I was stuck at this place until November and went back to my old dentist in Glendale. We went here because we moved and I regret it. They jack up the prices and give you treatment you don’t need!!! How else are they going to pay for that lady’s position who only comes out to discuss your bill and swears by some crap tooth brush they sell, «You should get it, it’s amazing!» No thanks, do yourself a favor and keep walking. Avoid this place at all costs!!!

This place switched me from the dentist my wife had made the appointment with to some young new dentist. Whom after the routine x-​ray inspected my teeth and told me one of my fillings had to be replaced with a crown.
No other option on the table but a crown. I walked out of there after my cleaning and never looked back. I went to another dentist a year later and after they did a routine x-​ray and check didn’t blink an eye on that same filling.
It’s brabaric that Glendora Smiles tried to scammed me into a crown. No wonder they have three stars with only 46 reviews. Stay the hell away from this place.

I’ve been going to Glendora Smiles for a few years now. Everyone from the receptionist to the Dentist is always very friendly. I’ve recently needed a root canal done and I was terrified (yeah, I cried). I was not pressured to have this procedure done but I was educated in why I needed it. My questions were answered respectfully and with a lot of compassion. After some time to think about it, I decided it was time to face my fears. I appreciated the Specialist being so gentle with me. My root canal is complete and it was not as bad as I expected it to be.
I highly recommend Glendora Smiles to anyone who wants to take good care of their teeth!

This was my first experience at a dental office (outside of my previous DDS), and let me just say… it was a terrible experience. Now maybe this was just an unusually bad experience, I’m not sure.
Truthfully, I felt like the dentist I saw spent minimal time with me, and then her ‘recommendation’ was to replace all of my porcelain fillings and crown. Granted, I was only 25 years old at this time, and had always had great dental care throughout my life. It just didn’t make sense, and would’ve cost well over $ 10,000. And this was just during the consultation! After that, I knew I wouldn’t come back and just wanted my teeth cleaned… but they didn’t even do that! I ended up just leaving, and never returning. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially if you’re seeking professional dental care.
