Jacob and Associates

This place is super unprofessional and I never even got past the girls at the front desk. I had a referral for my son for here. i called to make his first appointment and was told that kids his age are only seen Monday and Tuesday mornings. Ummm… that’s during school hours, which makes no sense to me. So I told the girl that I don’t want my son falling behind in school which would just add more stress to his situation. She said she would speak with one of the doctors there that day and get back to me. Never heard back that day. The next week, I called back asking what the status was of getting an appointment not during school hours. she said the one doctor she needs to talk to is unexpectedly out and should be back the next day. OK… fine. Now we are about 2 weeks since I called the first time, never got any call back. Follow up is non-​existent. I called my insurance company and told them what happened and I was given another referral for somewhere else. Don’t bother with this place.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Nasserian’s for quite some time now with Dr. Jacob & Associates. I must say that the staff along with Dr. Nasserian himself have made me feel very comfortable as a patient and have been professional and assertive at meeting all my needs as a patient. Very satisfied!!!

My mom was seen by Dr. Nazarian regarding her mental health. We had requested a form to complete it for her and a review of her condition. We were told it should take 7 to 10 days and a few of $ 25. We had patiently waited for three weeks and finally were told that we need to contact her primary doctor. After three weeks of phone calls, this should have been communicated to us. Instead, we get the run around for 3 weeks.

This review is for Jennifer, front office staff. She’s always been a pleasure to talk to. This office gets very busy, but I’ve always been able to reach her if need be.

My overall satisfaction at this place was very unsatisfactory. The Doctor I was seeing Dr Cyrus Nasserian was/​is a great Psychiatrist. However, the staff there is what made me stop going to this place. The girl who works at the window at check in, is extremely rude. She will say something and then just slam the window in your face. She will even engage in an argument with some of the patient’s! She presents herself very unprofessional with big huge plug earrings. Oh, and before you get established as a patient at this place do NOT miss an appointment! It’s a whopping $ 30 dollars for a missed appointment. I had transportation issues and now my balance for 2 missed appointments are $ 150! Outrageous!

I just want to say that I appreciate Dr. Sidhom and everything that she has done for me. I have no problem at all with her or the rest of the office. I DO have a problem with the individual at the reception desk behind the sliding windows. Rude, inconsiderate, unhelpful, temperamental, and very foul. There has a been a few times recently where I have needed some help with some prescriptions or some answers to questions that my pharmacist had and have been treated like dirt. Even the head pharmacist made a comment about how she was extremely rude! I would not normally change a doctor because of any reason other than the actual doctor themselves, but in this case, I am considering it. Dr. Jacob, if you read these Unilocal reviews and take them seriously, she needs to go! You need someone with a little kindness, respect, and compassion.

Dr Clarence Leung is a very good therapist. He is very professional and judicious with his words. You’ll get very thoughtful insights, and no boilerplate.

Came here for the first time. The medicine I was given sent me to the hospital. Trazadone made my vision blurry, I couldn’t walk without falling into something, my speech was so slurred no one understood what I was saying. Spent 5 days in the hospital so far.
Think I’m going somewhere else. My health matters

I’m sure the doctors are good at their job. I wouldn’t know. I never got passed the receptionist. I waited an hour to be seen. I, like others have things to do and do not have time to wait around. It is obvious by their over scheduling that they don’t value a persons time.
I must admit that I was already suspicious at my first look of the place. The receptionist desks are a mess. Charts throughout. Food on their desks. And the front staff did not have a professional look to them. It is not inviting nor comforting. For the type of practice this is, it needs to feel like a safe zone.
I work in a very professional yet friendly and inviting environment. I do not understand why it is so hard to find that in a doctors office.

At first I thought this office was like how many others view it: a bunch of doctors that don’t really care about patients as much as they care about money. You only see each psychiatrist for about 5 minutes or so. I’ve gone here for about a year now and the doctors actually care a lot about their patients, they just have a lot to get through. Dr. Jacob and Lotfy are both willing to work with patients copays based on what they can afford and to me, that shows they want to make sure people who need help can get it.
As I said before, these doctors are extremely busy so you have to book appointments about a month in advance and make sure you don’t miss them otherwise it will be another month before they can schedule you. However, I’ve had a few times where I had emergencies and they managed to squeeze me in as a walk-​in.
Dr. Lotfy is very relatable and tries to connect her life to yours. Both she and Dr. Jacob have made a huge impact on my life and have helped me become a better, more productive, happier person. Of course they might not be the best fit for everyone, but it’s important to find doctors you trust and give them time to help you.

I have been seeing Dr. Clarence Leung for about three years. Under Dr. Leung’s care as a patient, I have found myself to be a much more productive, confident, and understanding person. I cannot give all the credit to Dr. Leung, but he did play an important role in my self-​improvement. He is a GREAT LISTENER, who allows you to feel comfortable sharing your deepest feelings and thoughts with him. He has never made me feel embarrassed or ashamed about being myself. With every twist and turn that life throws at me, I feel confident that I will be alright, knowing that Dr. Leung will be there, to help see me through it.

I made an appointment on 9÷9÷14 and was given an appointment for 9÷15÷14 at 2:30pm
I get a call from the office telling me the doctor they chose to make an appointment with turns out did not take my Covered California Insurance, fine no problem they chose another doctor which does take my insurance the catch was I had to reschedule the time slot to 1;40pm .I agreed to this slot even though I had to reschedule a Job Interview to make this appointment and was advised to please arrive at least 10 minutes before my appointment to fill out the forms I arrived at 1:20 It is now 3:05 and I was yet to be called. This is unacceptable for anybody to have to not only have to reschedule your previous appointment but have to sit there for almost 2 hours without even some acknowledgment that I would be called soon. Do not ever, ever see these doctors if you have any form of Covered California Insurance, they will profile your insurance type and treat you like a peasant…
I walked out and called my primary doctor to seek another referral all because this place likes to profile patient income. I’m asking to please boycott this office this type of business does not belong in our beautiful Glendora

I will not say that I have gone to Dr. Jacobs office and had a perfect experience every time. What I would like to mention however is that if a person goes to the office for the first time and has a less than stellar experience, it is unfair and ridiculous to say how horrible they are without giving them a chance. I would also mention that if you don’t complain on the spot to try and try to rectify the situation to clear things up and complain later online you are not only discrediting yourself but making possible false representations of others. I do believe the staff there do an adequate job of providing quality health care and genuinely enjoy and care about what they do. To accuse someone that «there in it for the money» is preposterous because it’s what they do for a living. They want to make sure they get paid for their work just as much as you would if you preformed a job for an employer. Technically you employ the doctors therefore they would want to make sure they are getting paid and that they are doing an adequate job with your health care. If you are not satisfied with their performance simply go someone where else. Fire them. But really, «there in it for the money.» Dr. Leung has done a good job of assisting me in my sessions and Dr. Al Asadi does a good job keeping my medications consistent with my mood and asking how I feel about them. I would admit however that once I did have a bad experience with someone at the front desk over a bounced check that was unprofessional. They do need to work on professionalism but all in all they are doing a good job of maintaining my mental health and assisting me in dealing with life and my disorder.

We have been taking our son to see Dr. Clarence Leung for about 4 months. Dr. Leung has used his skills and experience to highlight specific tools and practices that we could use to improve our relationship with our son. We strongly feel that we are seeing real, identifiable progress.
Our visits to Dr. Leung have become a welcome kind of «reset,» allowing us to correct whatever problems happen to pop up during the week and address any issues. We always leave his office feeling refreshed and bonded.
Contrary to what another reviewer said, we have never felt that Dr. Leung was in it for the money. To the contrary, he recently suggested that we reduce our visits to every other week, even though I expect that he would make more money if we came in more often.
We would recommend Dr. Leung’s skills and expertise highly, and we thank him for what he’s done for our family.

I have been seeing Dr. Clarence Leung for a few months and I am very happy with the results. Dr. Leung is very thorough and always tries to use researched proven methods to help me improve. I feel like every minute of our session is not wasted and that he’s always trying to do something to make progress, so that we’re not wasting time. I agree with the other reviewer that Dr. Leung is not the type of therapist to emotionally cradle you.
The negative comments about the doctor’s office and how money is handled is unfair. I do agree that the staff at Jacob and Associates are NOT the most polite, kind people in the world. They really could use some professionalism training. But, that said, they were never rude to me. It’s just that they didn’t smile much and seemed like it was just a job and they didn’t want to be there. However, I never had a bad experience with them.
As for the money, I can see how some people would construe that as a little weird, but from my point of view, it seems like the problem is more with management and office politics. Yes, sometimes Dr. Leung had to find change when the office didn’t have exact change. But this was only a few times and for the most part, the receptionist did everything. And definitely I would strongly disagree that Dr. Leung is there just to make money; I really didn’t feel that at all.
Bottom line, the office itself could handle things better, but when you’re looking for a psychologist, what matters most is 1. availability 2. feeling comfortable with your therapist 3. finding an effective therapist that actually helps you improve your condition. So overall I don’t think it matters that much about the office; what matters is that I am very happy with my progress with Dr. Leung.
For everyone else out there, I would say, try not to judge the office as much, but instead judge your therapist and whether you feel comfortable with them. In the end, that’s what matters.

I’ve been seeing doctor Clarence Leung for about two years now. Doctor Leung is a very important figure in my life. His services have perhaps saved my life and allowed me to revisit the happinesses in life that we often take for granted.
Unlike many therapists who try appeal to emotional vulnerability through emotional cradling and nurturing, Dr. L does not do so. He uses reason and research to inform me of the limitations that I was putting upon myself.
In the year that I have been there I would say that he has improved my life. I sense the dramatic new perspective on my realities are a result from coming to his sessions.
Keep in mind that not all therapists are right for you, and that each patient should shop around and find one that is compatible with them or else the sessions may not have positive results. Thus it is important to try a few sessions.
As for me, Dr. L has helped me a lot and I will be coming back for years on end.

I highly recommend Dr. Clarence Leung at this office. He has been treating me on a regular basis for two years now. I have benefitted greatly from his treatment, guidance, and support. Prior to beginning treatment with Dr. Leung, I was extremely skeptical about seeing a Psychologist. Through his help, and the treatment from Dr. Ghada Al-​Asadi (also at this office), I am better than I have ever been. After years of battling extreme depression, anxiety, and alcohol abuse, I feel stronger and more emotionally balanced than ever before. I will definitely continue treatment and therapy at this office and recommend it to others who are struggling with similar issues.

I do not recommend this place at all, especially Dr. Clarence M. Leung.
They are not about patient healthcare at all. Only about the money. I cannot believe the deceptive tactics and lies that they use at this practice. Not only that, their staff is rude and trained very poorly. Just to talk to them, they are either on lunch, taking a break or asks you to call back tomorrow too many times. Not to mention all with a very unfriendly tone.
I never wished bad upon anyone in my life. I do wish the worst for him, his family, and all the staff that work there. This is how much I hate the man and if you ever see this, know that I hate you that much.
You’re a thief. You caused me more anguish than you ever helped me.
DO NOT GO HERE. THERE ARE ACTUAL DOCTORS THAT REALLY CARE ELSEWHERE.
