RICHARD is awesome! We hired him for our reception only (ceremony was a small event requiring no music, and also two weeks before), which was in a backyard. I was a bit nervous because I had some relatives and friends flying in from out of state/​country, and I wanted them to relax and have fun even though it would be a more casual, backyard setting. You can give guests good food and drink, but ultimately I think it’s also music that sets the tone for everything. I explained my concerns to Richard, and he said in all of his years of DJing (I forget how long… around 25 years? If not, seriously somewhere close to that!), he’s done a lot of backyard weddings. That’s where his experience really came in, reading the crowd and setting the tone of the event at different times, as appropriate. I basically gave him very little direction (classy 50’s music cocktail hour for pictures, then a bit of 70s/​80s/​clean current dance music towards the end of the night) and he made an awesome playlist. He even had really wonderful classical music playing as the caterers set up!
Richard is great for the hands off bride because I honestly didn’t have any time to give him direction, and he took the reins while keeping me in the loop. The music ended up great, and people from every generation who attended my wedding said they loved the music. He asked about how I wanted to handle requests/​any no-​play songs, and said should any guest want a no-​play song, he’d take the blame for it and say he didn’t have it. It’s nice to meet a DJ willing to take the fall for a bride not wanting to play a song! We didn’t have that situation thankfully, but it was a nice offer from him and I think it really shows his integrity and desire for his clients to have a great time at a great event, with great music.
Thanks RICHARD! And KYLE as well, who I spoke with first but was unavailable for the actual day and thus recommended me to Richard. You’re both very prompt, attentive, knowledgeable and proactive.

Kyle was phenomenal. From beginning to end he was so easy to work with and beyond helpful. He executed everything perfectly on the day of our wedding. I honestly couldn’t find a single thing I would’ve wanted him to do differently. All the music played was correct and the timing was wonderful. He made our day true magic. Thanks Kyle.

From the moment we met Kyle to go over what he offers, we knew he was going to be the perfect DJ for our wedding! He is such a friendly and personable guy, it would be hard for anyone to not want his services. During the wedding he was on top of everything and made everything run smoothly. So many of our guests danced the night away and had a great time and that definitely couldn’t have happened without an amazing DJ! If you want the best DJ for your event look no further. The day my Aunt and I had a meeting with Richard Noblett from KSDJ for my October 10^th wedding, we fell in love with his attention to detail, easy communication, and his passion for what he does. Richard guided us through out this whole experience to create an event that was truly ours. He was very professional and personable. He brought ideas that we didn’t think of and created a unique experience that we loved. Richard customized our whole event from cocktail hour with movie themed music for our movie themed wedding to our favorite songs during the reception. He was able to throw request in from our guest and additional speeches that weren’t planned and still kept to the schedule. He worked along side our venue and photographer to keep a time schedule to make sure everything happened that we wanted and to have photos to capture our moments. I couldn’t imagine our wedding without Richard from KSDJ. He was amazing!!!

This review was for August 22 for Micah ! :) Micah was awesome on the day of and prior to the day. He was very responsive (you were able to reach him through text and phone) and very nice. He was very calm and kept ensuring us that everything would be fine, which in fact everything turned out great ! We couldn’t ask for more. My husband and I had lots of fun :) on the day of the reception Micah brought along his wife crystal to help out. It was such a stress reliever to have an extra person helping around ! I would highly recommend Micah and his company to dj your wedding ! You can’t go wrong.

Richard Noblett pretty much saved our wedding day! We had booked a different DJ in OC who ended up not having the right insurance for our venue and never sent us a contract. 2 weeks before the wedding, I contacted KSDJ, and while Kyle was unavailable, Richard luckily had an opening on our wedding date; oh, and at a $ 200 savings even with losing our other DJ’s deposit. Even at our first meeting, Richard was organized, timely, and offered good insight into our wedding timeline. I’d say if you’re on the fence about hiring a wedding coordinator, maybe skip it, and Richard might even be able to help you figure out the flow of the wedding day. He sent us a contract right away, and responded to my emails in a timely manner. I think the biggest bonus is that he’s BRITISH. It made our wedding slightly different from everyone else’s since he was also the MC. The wedding day was so much fun; the music was great, and at 11pm, when it ended, I think people (like me) even wanted to keep dancing cuz it was so fun. Now that the wedding’s over, I wish I could have another one… maybe in 10 years for our anniversary! I don’t think you can go wrong with this company and its DJs.

Holy Freakin Tilito! If I could give Kyle 10 stars I would! Kyle was awesome throughout the entire process. From the second my fiancé (at the time) and I met Kyle we knew we were going to hire him. He was the only DJ we met but we both felt so at ease after talking to him.
I knew he was going to be a great DJ but he exceeded our expectations. Our guests were having a blast and so many people commented on how great he was. Our coordinator even said to me before our grand entrance, «Where did you find your DJ? He is awesome and I have seen a lot of DJs!»
During the wedding he did such an amazing job managing the itinerary for the night. He checked in with us to confirm the dance songs and when to cut them off. He also confirmed with us, before the toasts, how to pronounce the names. He also rearranged the itinerary to make sure our money dance was before cake cutting to avoid guests sneaking out. Also after the cake cutting he came up with a creative way to get everyone on the dance floor.
We also got our photo booth through him and we loved it! At the wedding there was a scrapbook set out so the guests could write us notes and glue their picture in. Such a nice surprise and definitely fun to look at.
I highly recommend Kyle to anyone and everyoneee!

Kyle was amazing!
He DJ’ed our wedding ⁷⁄₁₇ and exceeded our expectations. Going in, we didn’t have a lot of requests or ideas. Kyle walked us through the process and made sure we had a clear understanding of how everything would unfold.
We gave Kyle a lot of autonomy with our music selections and he hit it out of the park!
Service was top notch and his price was unbeatable.
I don’t plan on ever getting married again, BUT, if I do, I’d definitely go back to Kyle!

I highly recommend Richard (DJUK)! Richard was our wedding DJ at the Dana Point Yacht Club on July 25^th. Richard was easy to communicate with, and really guided us through the reception song choices and schedule.
Through the planning of the reception, Richard customized our genre of songs and truly got a good sense of the type of music we wanted to play and the environment that we wanted to create. We met with Richard a few months before our wedding, and he explained to us how we can achieve the (most) perfect reception that would reflect our music taste and style. In the months leading up to our wedding we stayed in contact via email, and slowly filled out our customized consultation form which included all key details of the reception.
Richard guided us entirely through the whole reception timeline. He helped develop a reception schedule, highlighting each special event time. In the midst of planning a wedding, it was extremely helpful to have someone help with making these decisions. I credit this to Richard’s expertise. He has a great grasp on what works, what is successful, and what creates the best wedding reception party! He even helped remind us to sit down and eat dinner!
Once the reception party began, it was calming to know that Richard coordinated each part of the reception. He met with Brian and I many times during the reception to help guide and remind us of what would come next. This leadership helped our reception stay on time, without leaving out any important part that we had planned.
Richard engaged our friends in family, and was such a joy to have a part of our celebration. I had SO many of our guests come up to me and say how great our DJ was.

My wife and I just got married over the weekend, and Kyle really helped to take our special day to the next level! He was receptive, quick to respond, extremely reasonably priced, and most of all — a FANTASTIC wedding DJ! He played all the right music, he made sure to keep the party going, and he was very well organized. There was never a dull moment at our reception!
Also, if you the extra money I highly recommend getting the photo booth as well. It was a hit with all of our guests!

BEST DJ EVER!!!
Kyle was literally amazing. We met a few months before the wedding. He took so much time explaining everything, asking questions (more than any other DJ I had interviewed), and continued to wow us with his service up until the wedding. The day of the wedding, he got there super early; which was incredible. We paid extra for the ceremony amount (I highly suggest having him DJ the ceremony as well). He got there 2 and a half hours early to set up. Literally no hassle. I gave him our songs for certain parts of the ceremony, but I also gave him free rein to do whatever he thought was best with my favorite band, the Beatles. He intricately placed some amazing songs in the ceremony that added a unique touch to the whole atmosphere. The cocktail hour, he did the same thing. One of our caterer’s got into a car accident on the way to the event with the stove in her trunk. We had to serve the food right away. Guess who came to the rescue? Kyle. He re-​planned the timing, did announcements quickly so the food wouldn’t get food, and coordinated photos with the photographer to save time. He did all of this while bringing us food, drinks, etc. and making sure we were comfortable. He dealt with family drama and did everything with a genuine smile on his face. He was sweet to all of the kids there (I have nieces and nephews and he played all of their requests and gave them shout outs.)
Every little bit that makes an excellent DJ, Kyle and his team have. It’s all in the details, and Kyle sure performs to the excellent standard. I could not be happier with his services. I will be using him again for anything that needs DJ’ing He is a great guy with a genuine heart and hard work ethic. if you’re looking for a fabulous wedding, like mine was, LOOK NO FURTHER.

I heard about Richard from KSDJ from a friend who had him DJ her wedding. I did not attend her wedding but decided to give him a call. He was very attentive and offered to meet for a consultation right away. He met me at the church where my ceremony and reception was going to be and he gave me his insights on where he thought everything should be set up. He has a great knowledge of these types of events. He was very thorough in asking what my fiancé and I wanted, what music we liked, what types of dancing we were going to include. He was up-​front with all pricing, fees, and information.
We ended up also renting uplighting from him and it completely transformed the reception hall. He set up everything and got to the church hours before the reception. While he cleaned up, he left the music going so everyone working on cleaning up the hall would have some background music. From beginning to finish he was excellent.
He is very charismatic and detail oriented. He kept the reception going at a wonderful pace and kept checking in with my mother, myself, and the photographers to keep us on track with the events of the evening. He asked for detailed lists of any songs I want played, any songs I for sure wanted to avoid, and any family relationships that may be worthy of a heads up. He wanted to make the evening comfortable for everyone. I was very vague in the music selection. I only gave him genres, not many specific songs, and he filled them in flawlessly.
He checked in with me routinely leading up to the wedding. Made sure I had finalized timelines and made sure I approved of his song choices. Up until 2 days before, he was still making sure I didn’t want any changes :)
I would recommend this DJ to ANYONE for ANY event. 100% impressed and satisfied!

Nice job Kyle! We hired him for our wedding last week and the music was great. We did provide a list of music that we wanted and he did a nice job reading the crowd to pick the music. We did notice some of the songs didn’t get played but we also saw our guests going up to request songs so maybe they got theirs played over ours, which we understood. The week before the wedding we had a special request on the first dance song and Kyle was able to make it happen — thanks!
Overall very happy with Kyle — he did a great job! Give him a call and once you chat with him you’ll see what I’m talking about — great dj, understands the stress you are under as a bride/​groom, works with you.

Kyle really took charge and made sure the wedding events went smoothly! I was very pleasantly surprised. Even the venue people came up to me and asked if he’s my wedding coordinator! He had a good timeline prepared for us, and while I modified it to fit out wedding several weeks to days before the wedding, he was totally cool and adapted very quickly to everything I needed. We highly recommend him!

Our wedding was January 10^th, 2015. We are still overjoyed with how incredible our wedding day turned out, and KSDJ was a major factor in making sure that’s exactly how it went. We hired Kyle for the job and unfortunately he wasn’t able to be there. However, we couldn’t have imagined what a blessing in disguise it turned out to be. We met Richard the week before our wedding, and though that is far from ideal, he worked very diligently to make sure we didn’t have to worry at all. After only three days of preparation for our wedding, Richard was a pro. The pacing of our reception was perfect, and because he had the entire outline available to us prior to the wedding, we knew exactly what to expect. Thanks to Richard, Kyle, and KSDJ, it was definitely the greatest day of our lives, so far.

We hired Micah from KSDJ a few months before our wedding and he did an incredible job. We knew we liked him when we met him because he was very cool and laid back. we loved his relaxed energy. We never worried that things wouldn’t be taken care of with Micah as our DJ, because he was always on top of everything. Truth be told, a lot of wedding vendors that we had for various other aspects of our wedding, were very bad at getting back to us– either with email or phone; Micah was always one step ahead and never left us hanging.
I had requested Micah play some older jazz like Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin while we ate, and he picked out the perfect songs… The volume was at the perfect pitch and the music went beautifully with the throwback vintage vibe of our wedding.
I absolutely would recommend him for anyone’s wedding! He was the perfect DJ for the perfect night!

We hired Kyle for our wedding on Saturday 11÷1÷14 and we could not be more happy. He isn’t just a wedding DJ, he is almost like a master of ceremonies for the reception. He did all the announcements and introductions, kept things moving when they needed to and had the perfect read of the audience on when to change up the music to get everyone dancing (he even got my Mom to the dance floor… no small feat.)
We initially found Kyle on The Knot, and his highly rated reviews there proved accurate. He was nice, personable and communicative the entire process and his experience during our reception showed. He really took a lot of the stress out of what can be a very overwhelming day, allowing me and my now wife to be able to enjoy ourselves. All this, and his price was also the best we found from all the DJs we looked at. And one final note, we had purchased an uplight with our names to be projected on the wall during our reception. When Kyle found out we were having a Simpsons-​themed wedding (don’t judge) he found a picture of Homer and Marge in a wedding gown and tux. Everyone loved it. It’s that kind of forethought and attention to detail which make me highly recommend Kyle and KSDJ for your wedding or next big event.

While we were planning our wedding, we went over what was most important to us (besides getting married) and it was food, drink and music. We knew that most people may not remember the small details that we would but most everyone remembers the food and the general atmosphere, which we said came from the DJ.
We found Kyle on The Knot and decided to give him a call. Right away, he was approachable and scheduled a time to meet us up wherever we were (OC). We met him at a Starbucks right by our house and he drove from LA! He was so nice, professional, and really seemed to know his stuff! So we booked him and he gave us a document to fill out with song choices, wedding party names, etc. Very easy, very straightforward and let me tell you, from a crazy organized person, this was a dream!
Kyle was always available for communication. On our wedding day (4 days ago), the music was fantastic! It was EXACTLY the feel we wanted for our wedding. Not one part of our wedding lulled. The music transitioned perfectly all night. The processional and recessional songs were spot on and it was just a killer night! He kept the crowd upbeat, he MCed so well, it was so professional and you can tell he loves his job and knows how to do it darn well!
My husband (!) and I would go with Kyle over and over again. I would recommend him HIGHLY. Just know if you go with Kyle you will get the wedding atmosphere you dream of. If you want a party, you’ll get a party. If you want a mellow night, you’ll get that. He makes it happen just as you want it! A bride’s best friend!

We used Kyle for our November wedding. He was referred to us by the special events coordinator at our venue (Lawry’s).
Kyle was very helpful and professional right from the start. He met us at a Starbucks that was convenient for us. He gave us lots of information and gave us a questionnaire to fill out which helped him to get to know us better, and to give names of the members of the wedding party, etc.
My husband and I spent many late nights making up our playlist, with many very specific songs. Kyle was accommodating as far as our special requests and what songs to play when.
We used uplighting and purchased what is called a «gobo», which is a lit sign that projects onto the ceiling. The whole effect was very nice.
While we weren’t present during the seating or the cocktail hour to hear what music was played, we did note a couple of things during the reception. Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond started playing at one point… my husband and I looked at each other because neither of us had put this on our playlist. We weren’t sure if maybe he played this to get a feel for the crowd (if it might get them on the dance floor) or what. During much of the reception, the volume of the music was fairly low. I heard from one guest that they liked this, because they were able to easily talk with the other people at their table. For us, the low volume meant we were unable to hear what songs were being played while we greeted our guests. There were a couple of important songs that we didn’t hear at all, and we aren’t sure if it is because they weren’t played or because we just didn’t hear them.
The only big negative was there was audio feedback at the beginning of our ceremony, but it was fixed right away.
I will also note that Kyle was our most expensive vendor, aside from the venue itself, due to the uplighting and the gobo.
Overall, we were happy with the services he provided.

We came across Kyle at a bridal show and love his attitude. We also research him here on Unilocal.He had many positive reviews so we decided to meet with him. We met at a Starbucks close to my work. He was very prompt and professional. He’s very accommodating and made it very easy. He provides you with a word document where you enter all the information needed for the big day like names of bridesmaids, father of the bride, mother of the bride, etc. The document is pretty thorough. I also provided him with an excel spreadsheet of songs I wanted to hear during cocktail hours.
Brides, when it come down to selecting songs, it’s not that easy. It might be best to just go with what Kyle recommends. I had also hired another emcee who was multilingual for my family and husband’s family so they would be able to understand. He was very accommodating and it made it less stressful. At one point, I cut off the the other emcee and he stepped in nicely. He selected a few great classic songs for my guests to dance to after the dinner. I enjoyed his picks. Then he transitioned in to hip hop/​dance later on.
Overall, I had a great experience with Kyle. Super friendly guy that made the evening go so smoothly for us.
