Dr. Moursalian is a wonderful dentist, but his assistant makes your visit more enjoyable. I have a phobia going to dentist’s like a real phobia *put it this way I had a temporary cap for 2 years* phobia. The way he talks and explains everything was wonderful and he is genuinely a caring dentist. He performed a root canal & fitting for my crown in an 1:20 mins. This was the first dentist I didn’t feel scared and anxious. I felt very comfortable and didn’t come out looking like my face was melting off. I didn’t have any pain afterwards also. I am excited to have finally found a great dentist and staff.

Sadly, I have to write an update to my previous review because the level of customer service has gone down over the years. When I first started coming here, it was a small family owned private practice with one dentist and one assistant(his lovely wife). You were always seen by the Dentist himself within five minutes of your appointment time and he knew each one of his patients personally. Over the years, his business grown and he has contracted dental hygienists to do the cleanings we should use to to himself. So now every time I go for my six month check up, I am seen by a different dental hygienist instead of the dentist. The dentist will do a brief exam and review the x-rays but most of my time is spent with the dental hygienist. The dentist hygienist aren’t very friendly and some have a snotty attitude. Also, the office is only open 4 days a week and the hygienist are there 2 – 3 days a week. You have to book appointments months ahead. If I recall correctly they use to be open 5 days a week and an occasional Saturday. The last time I went in for my appointment I had to wait for over an hour even though the girl at the front office had contact me to show up early to my appointment due to a cancellation. I drove all the way from Costa Mesa to Glendora in afternoon rush hour traffic(1.5 hrs and 4 fwys) to get to the earlier appointment only to be left in the waiting room until nearly closing time. When I inquired as to why I had not been seen after an hour, the rude dental hygienist told me that technically my appointment was later so she was actually not running behind. When I’ve been explained that the front office had contacted me to come in earlier and I rushed over soon as I got the call as a courtesy to their request, she was not at all apologetic then proceeded to excuse her tardiness by telling me how the previous patient had so much tartar on his teeth that it took her longer than expected. I thought that comment about another patient was very inappropriate and rude especially since the patient had just passed us exiting the office and I saw who she was referring to. I tried to explain to her how far I had driven and that I have a night class to go to you and now to turn around and drive all way back to Orange County. I had requested an earlier appt to avoid the rush hour but as usual they had no availability. I commented that this was a waste of 3 hrs of my time driving and half a tank of gas. She replied in a condescending voice that I couldn’t have possibly spent 3 hrs driving which I ten explained 1.5 hrs x 2(RT) = 3 hrs. She was ever so comfortable getting into a big discussion with me in the lobby and making excuses for her unprofessional lack of consideration. The dentist’s wife Lisa and another dental hygienist(blonde lady who kept looking at me up and down) just stood there watching. I was very surprised that Lisa who has known me as a good patient for nearly 25 years did not intervene or offer something to make the situation better like having another hygienist see me instead. I left with no cleaning or apology from the staff but did get a big grin from the rude hygienist as I left without my cleaning. Very disappointing considering how loyal of a patient I have been for over 2 decades. I guess the contracted hygienist don’t care about losing Dr. Moursalian’s patients that he worked for years to keep.

I really like Dr, Moursalian, He is a great dentist, He is always looking out for the best options for the patient and does not seem to push a lot of unneccesary work. If I still had my PPO I would love to go back to him, It is a bummer that I now have an HMO which he does not except. So difficult to go to HMO dentists after seeing him for so many years.

Excellent dentist! First time in, horrible pain with swelling, gave me good antibiotics and pain med, pulled my tooth a week later, numbed me very good, I was awake the whole time. Next time u came, I was very nervous, he premeditated me so my anxiety was under control, I have TMJ, really painful to hold my mouth open. Extremely accommodating to all kinds of patients. No judgments, not preachy, felt like I was gonna get scolded every time I went to my old dentist. Not so here, extremely easy going. My daughter and husband both had their teeth cleaned, loved loved loved the hygienist. Genuinely concerned with our comfort. Super clean office, calming environment. Would definitely recommend
