Drove by twice within a month and they closed down tacos baja… now it’s an excuse to drive down to Whittier. Hopefully they have that location opened

Went by for lunch today(6/11/14.) Sadly, a sign posted on the door stated that the Glendora location has closed for business. The sign refered customers to it’s 3 other Whittier and LA locations.

Best fish tacos yet! New to glendora and a seafood fanatic so this place is going to b my fave specially with their 99 cent fish tacos on Wed and Sundays. I tried fish cerviche and it was on point and I’m super duper picky with my seafood. Their prices won’t hurt ur pocket and they have some some Chiles gueros that compliment the tacos… oh did I mention is across the St from me hehe best hole in the wall seafood place

They have great fish tacos! They are my favorite! I also love the peppers they have. There is a wait and the parking is difficult but well worth it.

The fish tacos are DELICIOUS however, I barely ever go because it’s always packed. Their location is horrible and the place is too small. I try and call for takeout and no one answers the phone. You should definitely try it but go at off hours other wise you’ll end up waiting in line just to order to order for like fifteen minutes and then wait a lonnnggggg time for your food.

TLDR: Wednesday and(tentatively) Sundays they have $ 0.99 fish tacos. They’re BOMB. Grab the seasoned yellow peppers, lime, and radishes for perfection. The fist tacos are pretty much the only thing i ever get here, simply because they are the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. They’re not the biggest(three huge bites will finish each of them off) but they’re packed with fish, cabbage, pico, cream sauce, and a little bit of salsa. They’re always crisp and juicy and I cant reiterate enough how great these tacos are. A huge part of it is probably that they’re EACH A DOLLAR on Wednesdays and Sundays. This is a spot I never fail to visit if I’m ever back at home on a Wednesday or a Sunday. I’M CRAVINGSOMENOWWW Another great thing about this place is that they have these seasoned sweet and spicey yellow peppers that you can grab yourself along with mountains of limes and radishes. I always grab at least one for each taco I get, and they’re just the icing on the cake. note: I said Sunday is «tentative because they have a sign that says«Sunday 99 cent fish tacos for a limited time», but I’ve seen this sign up every time I’ve gone for the past few months. Should be pretty safe to hit this place up on Sundays as well.

It was just ok, which was disappointing because of the way everybody raves about it. They were good tacos, don’t get me wrong! But they weren’t anything special either. I might be back but only if others want to go there. I just left feeling«Meh». Side Note: The staff was very friendly and helpful.

WARNING! I used to like this place but my friend just ate here recently and there were maggots in her taco. MAGGOTSMOVINGAROUND! Her brother was with her and he confirmed. They are still traumatized over it. She showed the employees and they offered to exchange it for something else without even an apology or shame like it was not a big deal. This is absolutely disgusting beyond belief. Something like this is not simply a bad review, this place should be shut down. I cringe to think of all of the people who have eaten there since, especially kids. This place needs to be inspected and investigated. This kind of thing should never happen and makes me feel nervous about eating out.

Former bbq steak and rib joint that was a turnoff. I think this is why i stayed away from this location and the business that followed. After 4 years, I stayed away no more. Some friends raved about a recent visit to a taco place in Glendora by Baskin Robbins. I had to think about it for a second to realize it was the former bbq place. Walked in and you’re welcomed with a ceviche bar. I wasn’t expecting this, but a nice surprise. I continued to examine the menu and decided on the battered shrimp and fish tacos. Another surprise, the tacos were really good. It was the light crunch of the batter and fresh tasting seafood. I was enticed to try the carnitas tacos and it wasn’t bad. It was a tad bland for me, but maybe because I was really out for the seafood? In the end, this place is worth a try and don’t wait too long like I did. I’ve been missing out and I only live a couple of miles away!

Loved this place! I can’t believe I waited so long to come here. I was impressed that when I walked in it did not smell of fish, yet there was a fish display as you walked in the door. I am so glad to have a Mexican seafood place near my home. The prices were great. The Fish ceviche was delicious, it was fresh, lightly seasoned and dressed allowing the fish to stand on it’s own. I also had a shrimp cocktail, again the shrimp was perfectly cooked, tender, not over cooked and rubbery like most Mexican restaurants. It was again seasoned nicely allowing the shrimp to be the star. The cashier was extremely polite checked on the customers inquired as to my mealing being to my liking, and spoke fluent English! I liked that the had a water cooler out with glasses if you chose to serve yourself, the condiment bar was small but clean, and kept cold. This was more than I expected. The only complaint, why no avocado? Really it’s in your pictures on the menu. I guess I will have to bring my own in. Thank you so much for a great meal, the pride you guys take in your work shines through. Keep up the good work, and we will be coming back.

Very nice and comfortable atmosphere. Employees are friendly. A few tips: * Meat is somewhat dry. * Rice and beans are so amazing. Don’t miss out. * Always check your meals for pick up before you leave the store, they tend to mess up a lot. * Wednesdays and Fridays are the days to be there! Very inexpensive. * Oh yea and get a horchata! You won’t regret it.

Really? Who ARE you? How did I not know about a good taco joint in largely-lacking-in-ethnic-food-Glendora? Had the barbacoa tacos and very pleased with the fixins and flavor and price. Good deal. Will return a couple more times and try other tacos before the 5th star.

My boyfriend wasn’t lying when he said he comes here almost every week for their tacos. They have some legit ingredients in their food — it’s so tasty!!! I love Mexican food and I love eating tacos, but these were probably the best tasting, freshest, and cleanest I’ve eaten in awhile. I have yet to eat some from San Diego, but this is really high up there for me! We ordered 4 Fish Tacos and 4 Shrimp Tacos. This was probably the best Shrimp Taco I’ve ever had. But I absolutely loved the Fish Taco. I’m not sure it was the absolute best I’ve had(cause I can’t remember where else I’ve had a delicious fish taco), but god damn, it was amazingly tasty. I absolutely enjoyed the breading on both the fish and the shrimp and they absolutely loaded their tacos with cabbage, light tomatoes, and the actual meat you ordered. The service was super friendly and super nice. I kind of felt like I was home when I was eating in there. DEFINITELY A MUSTEAT, A MUSTCOMEBACK, AND A MUSTEATAGAIN.

I had been here a few times for the 99cent tacos on Friday, and their regular tacos are okay, not great. I figured their fish tacos and mariscos are probably a lot better, and I was right. Do yourself a favor and get the fish tacos, or some other form of seafood here. That is what this place is all about. Skip the carne asada, carnitas, chicken, etc. It’s not bad, but there are other places to get good carnitas tacos(like Taco Grill).

Loooooveeee their fish tacos! 99c fish tacos on Wednesday. Definitely a good deal. Three will fill you up good. Try their hot sauce also, pretty potent haha. Oh and on Fridays, their carne asada tacos are 99c.

Best fish tacos in Glendora! $ 1 on Wednesdays! Parking is always tough, but it’s totally worth it! Also the seasoned peppers are bomb as well!

A succulent experience. Clean place to eat, the food is right there in the fridge with the glass front, so no games of fixing something different in the back. What you see is what you get buddy. They carry mexican sodas, which is a big plus and the environment its pretty quiet and casual. The tacos may be like in the other places, but the service and the relaxed ambiance make it a much better experience at the end. Thank you guys! Tacos and the seafood cocktails were delicious! :)

Donut Man and Taco Baja are right next to each other? This is definitely not a good combo for my wallet or my stomach. It was one of those days that I wasn’t sure what I wanted for lunch. Decided to search ‘fish taco’ on Unilocal and Tacos Baja popped up. I know a lot of you suggested just going on Wednesday for the .99 tacos. But I didn’t listen. Decided to go on a Monday. Food: Ordered the fish tacos. It was pretty tasty. Would highly recommend it. Parking: Parking here sucks. Small parking lot. Price: I think on other days the fish taco is 1.60. But on Wednesday it is 99 cents. Will I be back? Yeeahh! Probably later on today.

So, I usually don’t enjoy posting 1 and 2 star reviews(unless I’m totally pissed, and then I completely indulge in my meanness.) Besides, my friends like to eat there a lot, so I might be in trouble with them. HOWEVER! I’ve been feeling sick all day ever since having their fish/shrimp burrito. So, I’m sorry Baja Tacos, but your food is mediocre and your service is slow; your parking is bad and your 25c charge for credit card and no refills is just petty. And you shouldn’t have an A on your window… All of you folks who love this place, please don’t take it personally and enjoy your food(if you can!)

With all the other Mexican places around this area, we never thought to actually stop in here until I saw the reviews on Unilocal. (Seriously it’s like Mexican food row along Route 66 with names like Taco Taco-now closed, Burrito Village-now closed, Taco King, Taco Tapatio, Alberto’s Mexican, Mauricio’s Mexican, Sergio’s Mexican, plus all the other Mexican places in the surrounding area… Taco Nazo, Pepe’s Taco… What’s next??? Burrito Burrito? Taco City? lol.) You can compare the fish tacos here to Taco Nazo’s. Their 2 fish taco combo(#1) with drink/rice/beans is under $ 5 and if you pay like $ 0.50 more for Combo #3 you can get 1 fish and 1 shrimp taco. FRIDAYS = $ 0.99 Tacos!(Asada, Barbacoa, Carnita & Chicken) They are decent in size & quality. My husband likes them so he’s a happy camper… with the price too. Parking lot sucks. There aren’t a lot of spaces. The narrow driveway only fits one car for two way traffic so you can imagine what it looks like if a car is trying to pull in while another is trying to get out. –½ Star for parking lot –½ Star for no free refills
