I showed up at 7:30 this morning when they open. Apparently the doors are open but the grill wasn’t ready for another 20 mins. Maybe it was for the better because the food is pretty bad. This really is a waste of space. With the amount of college students that pass by, this place should at least have some decent food and have it ready to be cooked when the doors open. It has a lot of potential. It’s too bad that the owners and people that work there don’t seem to care.

Pass by this place often and decided to give it a try… I instantly regretted it. Looks like a typical«hole in the wall» style place, but it’s lacking that classic touch of having great food for a dump of a restaurant. Food is WAY overpriced for what is it. Ordered the Carne Asada burrito and it was less than mediocre. Carne Asada was chewy and tough, there was pinto beans inside(weird) and I’ve never had a burrito with Lettuce in it. The whole thing was wet and mushy, inside of an over cooked flaky tortilla. I realize this isn’t a first class joint, they cater more to the college kids across the street, but damn for $ 6 for a burrito it shouldn’t be this bad. Even the Chicken quesadilla was basically the same as if you made it at home, not particularly delicious, kinda small, over cooker flaky tortilla and all for the low price of $ 6.

As a Citrus College student, this is the closest burger joint to school. I come here all the time! I usually go with the cheeseburger meal, while its not the cheapest, it’s DEFINITELY worth it! Burger is a decent size, with good meat. Fries are GREAT, not sure exactly what the seasoning has, but it’s good! I’ve had their tuna melt a few times, it’s pretty good also. I come here at least once a week, and I have a good meal every time.

Okay how is this place even open? I was so excited to get a breakfast burrito and since I was the only one there I was able to see it being made. After two minutes I was disappointed and disgusted! First of all you can see a tray with a massive pile of bacon out in the open. Why is that bad? How long has it been sitting out? The side door is open and so is the order window so next, how many flies could have landed on them? Aren’t they supposed to be kept in a closed container next to the grill? Anyways, what made it worse which made me really squirm with disgust is I saw the cook(who is super creepy I might add) lift up a bowl with residue and I thought, «please don’t tell me he’s going to whisk my egg in that!» Well he put it down and grabbed the tortilla and laid it on the grill but then went back for it and cracked the eggs for my burrito in there. That is so gross and unsanitary to leave it there with egg residue and not to mention who knows when they last cleaned it. I was so grossed out and asked for my money back but the owner said no that everything was clean! I also told him how I saw the cook keep wiping his hands with his apron! I don’t know is he has a clean apron everyday but if he doesn’t he shouldn’t be handling food with hands he constantly wipes everything on his apron, ever! It’s not okay to be negligent when it comes to handling people’s food like this! So if you want you horrible service, a creepy guy to cook you food in an unsanitary environment be my guest! and also apparently they have two accounts and this one is the one which has four stars while the other has two! Shady to me but I chose this one to write my review so people can be aware of this!

I didn’t have time to eat breakfast one morning and after my math class at Citrus College ended at noon, I needed food. Like right now. So I went to my car to go out to eat. Then I saw Tommy’s Burger. I’ve seen it for years, but never wanted to go inside for some reason. This place doesn’t look all flashy on the outside, then I thought, «I’ve never eaten here before, I’ll just go in and try a new place for once». I walk across the street and go inside. I go ahead and order the Avocado Burger. . When my food was ready, the burger looked pretty big, and it looked like they used the WHOLE avocado in my burger. It looked amazing. I took a big bite and I gotta say, this is a damn good burger. The avocado, melted cheese, and the dressing they put on the hot meat were all meant to be together. I didn’t even need to add ketchup. The flavors were perfect. I felt so dumb that for years I didn’t come to this burger place before. . I put salt on my fries, and the fries are really good too. But man, that burger kept me full almost until dinner. All I know is that I need to try out the bacon burger the next time I come.

Good, cheap food. The burger combo is good for when 1.) you’re really hungry, 2.) you don’t have a lot of money and 3.) you don’t have a lot of time between class. A relatively small burger with lettuce tomatoes pickles onions and thousand islands dressing with some petty decent fries. I eat here every now and then with my friend and we split the burger combo(replacing the medium soda with a thai tea for $ 1 more) and we both leave satisfied– not stuffed. I wouldn’t want to leave here stuffed because the food isn’t exactly«healthy»… At all. Don’t get their chili burger. It’s just a burger with mud on it and without the thousand islands dressing. No good. Stick to the regular burger or cheeseburger with fries and you’re good!

4 stars because I ordered my food To go and I got a lettuce wrap and it was perfectly packed. Nothing was messy. Not even in-n-out knows how to package there food this way. Super impressive. Missing the one star because I asked for my chili cheese fries and I got regular with the combo, but that’s okay! Still coming back!

Being a student at Citrus College, this is a great spot to eat at because its right across the street from campus(if you are in the math and cosmetology building). Its walking distance, so which means I don’t have to drive and lose my parking. The food here is good. I usually get a burger combo. Ive tried the chili cheese fries and wings as well, which were also good. We can put extra seasoning on ourselves because they keep a shaker of it on the counter. Also have self serve yellow chili peppers. Living in Pomona, I wouldn’t drive here to eat though. There are many similar burger joints closer to me. Only times I eat here is when Im at school. Overall, this is a good place to eat if you attend Citrus or APU or are in the area as it is better than the other burger spots that are close by.

The food here is amazing. Especially the cheese bacon burger. I’m addicted to it, in a good way. However the cashier lady seems really mad whenever you ask for anything else extra(branch, soda etc.). That’s the only thing about this place and it makes me hesitate to come here whenever I’m craving burgers.

First of all this is not an original Tommy’s Burger, and after driving out of our way to get here, it’s closed! What a waste of time.

Warning: Tommy’s Burger is addicting! It is walking distance from Citrus College. Unfortunately, it looks ghetto but it is kept clean and the cooks and cashiers are very friendly. The food is delicious and the prices are great. Also, they offer free wifi and have an ATM machine in the restaurant.

Do NOT confuse this with Tommy’s the chili burger place. It has been around for decades and serves great diner food. I used to enjoy the tacquitos, several times a week! The hamburgers and fries are as good as you will find.
