Made from scratch breads, soups and entrees are created fresh, on-​site, and change daily. Samantha’s also specializes in event catering and will work with you to create the perfect menu for your special occasion.

History

Established in 1989.

Samantha’s Café & Catering is one of the area’s longest running catering businesses, with almost three decades serving innovative, scratch made foods. Founder Carole Newell had a vision back in the 1980’s when she created Samantha’s Pantry «where food is art». Always one step ahead of the trends, Carole then opened a second location called The Backdoor Café, one of the first coffee shops in an area that is now peppered with coffee houses. She had 21 flavors of coffee and offered internet access to patrons — long before WiFi was even a thing. When Carole retired in 2011, we promised to build upon her vision and incorporate our own «real food made here» philosophy to feed a new generation of foodies. The coffee shop slowly morphed into a bistro offering international flavors and classics with a twist. While we no longer have 21 flavors, you can still get a great cup of fair trade, organic coffee with breakfast or lunch.
