The Won Institute Acupuncture Clinic has been helpful to me for several conditions over the last few years. I started with allergies and I no longer suffer from them. They have helped with chronic back pain. It was a daily occurrence, nowI almost never have any pain and when I do, it is almost nothing. Everyone there is so nice. I have used the Faculty Clinic. A number of my friends use the Student Clinic and are very happy with the results.

The Won’s student acupuncture clinic starts at $ 38 for 1 ½−2 hour complete evaluation and healing session. It is completely private, and all of the student observations and treatment plans are validated by several supervising L.Ac.‘s. They also have an Herb + Acupuncture clinic for the same price to get the really chronic issues in check on some Sundays now, by students under the tutelage of the awesome Cara Frank of the China Herb Co. The Won has its own herb dispensary at the site, and their formulas start at just $ 15. The Won also has $ 5 Veteran’s acupuncture clinic, which is done community-style, and I believe it is available for accompanying family members as well. They also are *sometimes* involved in the Glenside First Fridays now, and offer free auricular acupuncture — cool! I’ve gone there monthly since 2011, to try it out, for seasonal allergies(all gone!), relationship troubles and major stressful days. I always feel recharged. It’s been a major factor in my pain management as well as general health — I feel more enabled and alive now :)(!) Definitely helped my chronic pain and anxiety(and immunity whoo whoo!). Oftentimes they will have seasonal specials — like a cool pain clinic or weight loss night sessions which include lectures, massage and acupuncture. And they always have the faculty clinic, still at a steal for a little more than the student rate. Also — very very amazing customer service with a smile and lots of warmth. A really, really really great place!!!

I am trying to have this be my year of healing. I am glad I tried this place, recommended by a friend who used to live out this way. I highly recommend this for anyone searching for relief from aches and pains. They did use sage which I am not a fan of, kinda wished they would have asked first, as smoke seems to cling to me, and makes me feel like an ashtray. They ask you quite a bit of questions to tailor your treatment, and with the students, there is always a consult with the Dr on duty, so I felt like I was getting the best treatment for what ailed me.
