History

Established in 2007.

ATA Black Belt Academy in Glenview is an independently owned and operated family business and a proud member of the American Taekwondo Association (ATA). The ATA is the premier martial arts instruction and training organization, dedicated to the martial arts discipline of Songahm Taekwondo, counting over 1,500 schools and 1million students worldwide.

I began my journey in 2005 with a goal in mind that I wanted to give back all that Songahm Tae Kwon Do had done for me and my family. Through the structured curriculum, my family and I were able to persevere through many challenges together. It was shortly after that I wanted others to feel the sense of accomplishment and confidence we felt through training. I decided to change my goal to opening ATA Black Belt Academy.

We are proud to provide the families of Glenview and its neighboring suburbs the opportunity to learn Life skills such as Discipline, Respect, Self Control and loyalty to themselves and others through Songham Tae kwon do.

Is a 3^rd Degree Black Belt and Certified Instructor. I have been training since 2004 and have been a Certified Instructor since 2009. I enjoy teaching martial arts to all ages and experience levels. I believe that with the right motivation everyone can accomplish the goals they set for themselves. It’s my goal to create tomorrows leaders one Black Belt at a time!
