CertaPro Painters of the North Shore

Please see my photos attached to the bottom this review. Certapro apparently plastered the Unilocal page with company provided pictures after I posted samples of their awful, sloppy work.
This company has done work for me twice now, and I definitely won’t be hiring them again. Their prices seemed low, but you get what you pay for apparently. First, note that each Certapro company is different. Don’t be fooled by the other Certapro offices’ better reviews.
When I first hired them, they did some exterior paint and power washing work for me. During the estimate visit, their sales guy promised as part of the fixed cost estimate, I could have whatever I wanted around the exterior power washed, including the driveway, patio, rocks, etc. On the day of the job however, they reneged and told me I would have to pay hourly for the power washing. When they did the power washing, they sprayed mud all over the side of my house and left it that way for me to later clean up myself. They also dumped paint onto my grass and left it there.
One would think I wouldn’t hire them again after this experience, so «shame on me.» I thought from the positive reviews I’d seen all over for Certapro that maybe I just had a fluke bad experience. Think twice.
I had a small interior paint job for them. They included paint in the estimate but then ended up using my paint I had left out for reference (and without asking), only adjusting the invoice after I pointed this out.
They missed a wall that we had discussed, and was clearly marked – never stopping to try to clear the confusion. They left my curtains outside uncovered on the deck along with their garbage, where they were rained on and ruined. They didn’t even ask if I wanted to keep them (I incidentally didn’t’) but had to carry water soaked moldy curtains and their garbage to the curb. They also sloppily and dangerously painted over several of the outlets.
Caveat emptor!

I had such a wonderful experience with CertaPro. They helped turn a bad incident with another company into a wonderful experience. We recently purchased our dream home and looked forward to painting the rooms to personalize our house. We hired another company to do the painting, but unfortunately these painters made some mistakes which upset me. I was referred to CertaPro, and since they are in my neighborhood I was able to walk in and asked the owner (Tony) to please help me salvage the situation ASAP. Not only was he kind and sympathetic, he sent over a color concierge who helped refine the color choices in our new home. Let’s just say her taste and experience made the process of coordinating the colors in the different rooms of our house fun and exciting! Now came the big test: the actual painting. CertaPro sent two wonderfully talented painters (Ramon and Umberto) who were able to fit this job into their busy schedules. Not only were they expeditious, they did an absolutely amazing job! I am so happy with the quality of their work — their work was flawless. I can only say «Thank you» to the folks at CertaPro — you helped made our dream home as beautiful as we envisioned it could be.
