Business Owner

Dr. Healy has recently opened a rehabilitation practice in the Northbrook/​Glenview area. Dr. Healy completing both chiropractic and physical therapy educational programs has developed a unique, comprehensive approach to treating musculoskeletal pain and injury. He has acted as managing director of multiple physical therapy and chiropractic clinics in New York, Florida, and Illinois. Aligning with the medical community and focusing on sound, researched-​based techniques, Dr. Healy will provide the highest quality care to the local community.

Dr. Healy’s clinical background is diverse, working with several top orthopedic surgeons and developing post surgical rehabilitation protocols. He has treated in both acute and outpatient settings. Dr. Healy believes good communication between the patient’s medical physician and rehabilitation team is crucial for optimal success.

Dr Brian is amazing! He is a great listener and quickly understands how to heal and build up strength! I had a frozen shoulder and was doing acupuncture with another chiropractor. When I switched to Brian he implemented physical therapy exercises and massages for relief. In only 2 months I have almost regained all movement. I came in with about 30 percent and now am up to 90 percent.
You definitely need to give him a chance you won’t be disappointed!

This review is way overdue. I can’t say enough about Dr. Brian and Joanna. I’ve been plagued with knee issues over the last 20 years which means I’ve seen my share of physical therapists. In all seriousness, Dr. Brian has been the first to really make a long-​term difference which I believe is due not only to to his top-​notch methods, but also to a genuine concern for a patient’s overall well-​being. He has a wealth of nutritional knowledge and offers chiropractic services in addition to physical therapy guidance. The fact that I only need one appointment for all of the above is a huge relief to my usually frazzled brain and crazy schedule. Finally, you just aren’t going to find nicer, more dedicated people than those at React. I recommend Dr. Brian and his team to everyone.

Dr. Brian is the best. I did a detox program with his help and 1 month later I am still not drinking coffee and eating healthier than I have for a long time. His support was wonderful!

React Spine and Sports Rehabilitation is much more than the name says. Dr. Brian and Joanna provide a full wellness program which includes spine adjustments, physical therapy and nutrition advice. On day 1, the patient receives an x-​ray of their spine, neck and pelvis. ALMOST NO PHYSICAL THERAPY OFFICE OFFERS THIS SERVICE. Patients are often surprised much of their pain is due to a condition they did not know they had. Brian uses the image to explain what the therapy process will be like for the patient and the patient can actually SEE where his/​her problems lie. Brian takes more than enough time to explain to his patients what the rehab process will be. From there, the treatment can include spinal adjustments, kinematic taping, trigger point stimulation, massages, electrotherapy, soft-​tissue mobilization and much more! The last thing I will add is Brian conducts nutritional programs for his patients such as a 10 day detox. Both Brian and Joanna really care about their patients and that is evident from the moment you step through the door.
I cannot give enough praise for the React, Brian and Joanna. If you are looking for physical therapy or a chiropractor then look no further!

As far as I am concerned, Dr. Brian Healy is at the top of his industry! I had rotator cuff surgery a year ago May. When I asked my Northwestern Lake Forest orthopedic surgeon who he would recommend for my physical therapy, without wavering he said Dr. Brian Healy; also recommended were some of the other bigger named players, but he said Dr. Brian would provide more of a personalized rehab experience. Talk about hitting that nail square on the head! Not only have I entrusted him with my recovery, he’s also helped me get my spine healthy again. In addition to those two issues Dr. Brian, through hosting one of his health/​wellness workshops, has helped me realize that while I was a pescatarian, I was still not achieving nutritional balance. In last 4 months I have lost 20lbs and 14in all because I attended «Recipe Night» at the React Spine and Sports Institute. You never know what kind (s) of positive change (s) you’ll take away from his practice. Aside from a healthier left shoulder and spine, the best thing I have taken away from my experience is his friendship! He truly cares about his patients… and that is Incredibly difficult to find in a doctor these days. At the age of 45, I’ve never had better healthcare! Thank you Dr. Brian!

I came to see Dr. Brian because i had been suffering from a disc herniation in my low back for several months and had not seen any improvement during that time. This was frustrating because as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach, my job requires me to be very physically active, and because of this injury It effected my ability to perform my job to the level that was expected. Thankfully, after seeing Brian for several weeks, my symptoms had decreased significantly and I was able to move with very little limitation. I am truly grateful for everything Brian did to help me begin to move and feel better. As a patient he provides you with an individualized rehabilitation plan that is carried out under his supervision, allowing him to adjust and progress your rehab based on what he sees that day helping to put you in the best situation to succeed. I would highly recommend Dr. Brian Healy of React Spine and Sports Rehabilitation to anyone. Not only because of the services he provides, but also for the person that he is. He is there to do anything he can to help you!

I tore my ACL a year and a half ago and Brian was not only there to refer me to a great surgeon, but also helped and supported me through the entire recovery process. His attention to detail and his care for each individual is truly unique and he makes you feel like you’re his only patient.
