Siding and windows group is now my go to company to provide siding and windows for all of our projects in the city. In the 18 years I’ve been working in the city I have rarely had a company exceed my expectations and Greg and his group did just that. From quoting the work, to install, to clean up and finally the follow up everything went flawlessly. Honestly can’t say enough good things about these guys except that I wish all my trades where this conscientious.

Siding & Windows Group did a fantastic job replacing our original cedar siding with Hardie Board. They also wrapped the soffets and fascia with aluminum, and installed new wider downspouts. Bart was a pleasure to work with in negotiating the work to be done and the price. He thoroughly explained our options, gave us examples to see in the area, and over delivered on the promised timeframe. When the crew began, the lead installer made sure our questions were answered about the process and schedule. They started ahead of the original date offered, and each night made sure the worksite was clean before leaving. The neighbors were complimenting the work before it was even done! Overall, we are very happy with the entire experience and the results are beautiful! Thank you!

We are absolutely thrilled to have worked with the Siding and Windows group to install Fiber Cement siding, new windows and trim on our 100+ year single family home. I found it difficult to find any local recommendations, so looked on Unilocal and was impressed with their reviews. Beforehand our house had tired old peeling and warped cedar wood which was on its last legs and is now a sleek contemporary looking home. Rather than the worst looking house in the street, it is now the best! It has added real value to our home.
Hubert was fantastic dealing with us and discussing our options, worked with us on budget and the option to apply for 0% financing that they arranged was also just what we needed to secure the deal. They were very honest with the timeline on how long it would take to start (about 6 weeks) as the weather had put back other projects. Hubert always responded to my emails quickly with questions and last minute changes. It took 3 weeks total from start to finish, including installing 3 new windows and the 2 guys who worked on our house were very respectful of ours and our neighbors property, tidied up every evening, and a delight to work with. They worked very hard in hot weather over the summer, but never complained. They even kept for us a Chicago Sunday Tribune from 1924 which they found under the siding.
It was great to work with such a professional company and I would highly recommend them.

Amazing work! The Siding and Windows Group was professional, with clear and frequent communication throughout the process. We could not have been happier with the look and quality of the windows and Hardie Board siding that were installed. They even took the time to fix the flashing on our front porch and fix the framing around the windows. It was clear that the work was done with attention to detail so that everything was done right. When it comes time for us to redo our front porch, we will definitely be calling The Siding and Windows Group again!

I’m delighted with the work the Siding Group did for us. I was looking for someone to install cement siding (e.g. Hardie Board) as well as cedar siding and shakes. I’d been impressed by the work they’d done on another house nearby. I got a bid from them as well as from two other contractors, and I went to look at houses all the contractors had worked on. In terms of the price, the bids were very close. What impressed me about the Siding Group, though, was Hubert’s attention to detail in the process of assembling the bid. I’m picky and there were a lot of details (not all of them conventional) that I wanted to be just so. Hubert discussed them all at length with me and helped me to come up with the best materials /​techniques to realize them. He even helped me to tweak things a couple of times after I’d signed the contract. Greg got involved in the project later, once the work started. As with Hubert, I felt strongly that he wanted to do all he could to make sure I was as happy as possible with the result. The same was true of the two guys, Jakob and Janusz, who did the actual work. They checked in with me about design details, were very pleasant to have around, and did a meticulous job. As I said, I’m delighted with how it turned out. I would – and am! – enthusiastically recommending them to anyone looking for a contractor to do siding or window work. (I’m waiting until the spring to have some exterior painting finished up, but will post before /​after photos once that is done.)

I wanted to wait a few years to see if the work held up, as sometimes things look great right away and deteriorate quickly. Well 4 years later, the work Siding Group did is holding up fabulously. I had a major job done on my 105 year old, 6 bedroom farm house in the city. All new Hardie board siding, all new windows, and everything is great. Very professional crew, finished on time and on-​budget. Would highly recommend owner Greg and his company to anyone needing siding, windows and whatever other services they offer, as I’m sure they would do a great job.

The Siding Group are truly professional Hardie installers. After the siding replacement they did the house looks like new again. The employ skilled and caring installers and made the entire experience very satisfying. The entire process from estimate provided by Hubert to the scheduling by Greg and the actual work done by Matt, Kashi and Kamil was 5 star! Our job took 2 weeks to complete but I loved how meticulous to detail they are and took pride in their work. It’s worth every penny spent not to mention the price was competitive. They deliver on everything in the contract and cleaned up after the job site was completed. I recommend the Siding Group to anyone looking for quality work period but the bonus is at a good price as well!

Right from the start I got a good feeling that these guys were going to be different. Their salesman Hubert came out to our house and spent several hours with my wife and I discussing out goals for the complete project, time line, concerns etc and never did I feel pressure to make a rash decision. We decided to have Siding Group do new Hardie siding on our entire house after removing the old aluminum siding along with complete gutters, sofit and facia and a completely new front porch and beaded dougfir ceiling. I can not say enough good things and about the whole team at Siding Group. Straight from the top Greg (the owner) is VERY hands on and really went the extra mile to make sure we were overly comfortable and happy with every step of the project and even the small couple of items that came up along the way we addressed extremely quickly and without argument. I should also mention that Roman & Ziggy who were the main two guys on our project were nothing short of top notch craftsman for sure! Our house was built in 1891 and has settled a bit in certain places over those 120+ years so there was quite a few on the job customizations required to make it all look right and they were AWESOME!!!
Before this gets much longer I just want to say that I can’t imagine any company in this field being any better than these guys and if you have any doubt feel free to drop me a note and you can swing by our house and see their work in person.

after 23 years in this house i decided to give it a facelift. i saw the great job greg and hi teams did on a neighbors house last summer. i got several quotes and decided to go with siding group. i am very happy about my decision. the workers were competent, polite, hard workers. they came every day and cleaned up each day and at the end. greg and bart stooped by often to check inwith progress and to see if i had any questions or comments. my house looks like it is new!

(This is the kind of business that does such a great job that people join Unilocal to say something nice about them and since they only write that one review it is filtered) In the past 5 years we have been through various tradesmen and had some negative experiences — businesses like Siding Group (Greg Bednardski and crew) renew our faith in mankind. We took the time to drive around and look at their extensive list of finished work in Chicago, we actually got to talk to some of the people who were outside, they were all Very Happy with this company. Get a quote, get the list. Go look for yourself. Do NOT hire an inexperienced Hardieboard Installer.
