Got a great deal on a snowboard setup, all last years but brand new and 40% off.
Salesman was very experienced and friendly. Was very busy today but they took their time dealing with the lines.

Bad customer service, bad business attitude. They will not exchange any products they sold that is defective. We will go somewhere else for any winter products.

I agree with some of the other reviewers about pushy salespeople, but I’ve put up with that because they have a nice selection of clothing. However, I will never go back after my recent experience. I had bought a pair of boots on-​line and asked if they provided boot fitting services. The ski tech in the back rudely told me that they wouldn’t do it since I didn’t buy the boots there. Then he added snarkily, «Good luck trying to find anyone to do that. If you do, they’ll probably charge you an arm and a leg.» I was so taken aback by his attitude that I just said, «Ok, thanks» and walked out. Not only did I find someone else to do it at another local ski shop, but he did it for free! Previously I had thought of the two local ski shops as fairly equal, but now I will never return to Snowbird and will give all my business to the other ski shop. Snowbird needs to change their business attitude otherwise they’ll continue to lose customers.

Shockingly RUDE. Hassled me about a legitimate return/​refund. Really poor customer service by Lenore. Lost me as a customer forever.

Five days ago, I purchased a NorthFace down coat, took it home to try it on over some of my thicker outfits to make sure that the fit would be ample enough for winter layers. This morning, I noticed that the zipper was stuck quite badly and after several tries, decided to return the jacket rather than do any damage. I had not yet worn the coat outside nor had I removed the tags.
AGAIN, HE TAGS WERE STILL ON THE COAT AND I PURCHASED IT ONLY FIVE DAYS AGO! This was a full price Northface parka that was not on sale. (Snowbird has a 10 day full refund policy if the tags are intact.)
When I arrived at the shop with the clear intention of returning the coat, one of the kind, younger sales clerks examined it and discussed it with another clerk. They applied chapstick to the zipper to see if that might break the jam loose. They discussed using a graphite pencil to help unstick it and various other tricks to a nasty zipper jam. No luck.
Then, the clerk suggested that I try on a few non-​Northface coats because I said I was really not interested in another Northface coat (zipper was still stuck, by the way) and would prefer to invest in a totally different brand/​model rather than run the risk of a broken zipper again. I tried on two coats. Nothing fit right and the clerk agreed.
Meanwhile, the other clerk brought the coat to Lenore, who I gather is the sister in law of the owner or some relative or other. (Lenore is the person who sold the coat to me five days ago.) She disappeared into the back room for about 10 minutes while I chatted with the two nice sales clerks about the weather. Time passed…
Lenore returned and placed the coat down on the counter, proclaiming that she fixed the zipper. I explained that I would like to return the coat entirely, for the reasons stated above. She accused me of intentionally ruining the zipper and then trying to pass off a bad return. Lenore pointed to the chapstick on the zipper and a few pieces of fuzz that were clinging to the fleece lining. «Apparently, you have worn this coat, slammed the zipper in something and are now trying to return it.» I called the young clerk over to the counter, who verified that she just put the chapstick on the zipper in an attempt to loosen the zipper jam (without my permission or request, by the way).
Lenore continued with her accusations… stating that, «these zippers don’t just break on their own, you know» and «this coat was perfectly fine when you bought it on Monday». I was flabbergasted. I assured her that I did not slam or break the zipper.
Lenore then indicated that there was some «wear» (fuzz, lint, etc.) on the inside cloth flap of was on the coat… «apparently, you’ve worn this coat». I reminded her that my plan was to try the coat on at home over some of my winter sweaters, which admittedly, are made of yarn and perhaps could create a little fuzz along the way. Of course I haven’t been wearing this coat all week. the tags are still on it!
This was STILL not enough to earn even a glimmer of an apology from Lenore!
Finally, Lenore reluctantly began to process my return. With many heavy sighs, and absolutely no apology, Lenore sullenly went about her work. «Credit Card!» she barked. After a few minutes of observing her sourness, I began to wonder what on earth might be going on to have not merited even a brief nod, apology, or «come back and try us again». I couldn’t help myself… I tilted my head and inquired, «I’m just feeling so curious about this whole exchange… it’s very confusing to me, what am I missing?» She went through the motions of the return without a response. I said, «You know I am a repeat customer, right? Remember, this very ski coat I have on right here? I bought it at Snowbird two seasons ago. Do you really want to do this? You do realize that you are losing a loyal. customer, right? » She barely glanced up from the counter and mumbled something unintelligible.
At which point, I waited for the guys from Punked or Candid Camera to appear. They did not. This was real.
Goodbye, Snowbird. Sad to see another small, independent retailer turn sour.

Nice staff, helpful. Prices are average, not what you can find on line but reasonable for a store. The kids ski program with Snowbirds is good. My kids think its great fun. I am glad they run these weekend ski trips.

Ron and staff have outfitted my family for nearly 30 years. The selection of goods is always top knotch. They really know their stuff and are willing to spend time with us while we get fitted for equipment. There is no greater feeling than hitting the slopes with great equipment that has been selected for our level of ability in mind. Thanks again team Snowbird!

Arrogant and pushy sales people. A husband and wife team really pissed me off with there sales techniques. the prices aren’t attractive either. I will never return to this shop. They missed out 3 jackets, 2 ski pants, and a set of skiis. You could do more business if you got over yourselves.
