Amazing food, beautiful atmosphere. Drinks at the bar are amazing. Very friendly staff.

ever since this operation was outsourced, from the park district of glenview, the quality of the product has declined to a point where i simply won’t go there.
the manager focuses on banquets and not only has little regard for the golfers but demonstrates in her general demeanor.
the quality of the food has no where near what it was and the prices have risen.
i’d rather spend my money ata gas station snack counter… kidding, but that’s how i see this place… Yuck !

New owners, a better menu, but kinda’ expensive. Service is pretty good, but the person who runs the place… simply said… doesn’t do justice to the place.
I mean. Zero personality. She may be good on the business side, but from a people and food/​wine experience (which is 90% of the reason I do dine out)…leabes much to be desired.

I can’t say enough GOOD things about the Café at the Glenview Park Golf Club. I got married there last weekend and the catering staff did an amazing job with everything. I got so many compliments after our event about how nice the wait staff was there.
My fiancée’ (now husband) and I looked at a lot venues to host our wedding party. We had such a small guest list that it was difficult to find a place to host it at. Here are the things we wanted for our event that we found at The Café at the Glenview Park Golf Club.
1) Beautiful outdoor scenery – flower beds, water, and trees
2) An outdoor patio with tables for guests to enjoy a cocktail overlooking the golf course
3) Indoor and outdoor ceremony options with beautiful views
4) No room rental fee
5) No carving station fee to serve the prime rib
6) A very small set fee for the bartender for 4 hours
7) Wonderful appetizers & dinner entrees
8) Flexibility with the menu options at no extra charge
9) Ceremony & reception at the same site with options to hold 40 – 100 plus people
10) No extra charge for linens, place settings, or set up or breakdown fee
11) Affordable
The catering staff also worked as special event planners and they took great lengths to set up all of my wedding decorations for me. When the specialty linens that I had ordered didn’t arrive on time, the caterer took it upon herself to make the call. She also called the florist on the day of my wedding to tell her that we were missing one of the table arrangements. We never did get ahold of the florist and the caterer wound up creating the extra centerpiece herself by taking flowers from the alter piece and the golf course itself. I wanted a candy/​dessert buffet and she and her staff did a beautiful job of making it look elegant. They also provided our guests take home boxes to package up the sweets at the end of the event to take home with them at no charge. The caterer, Solveig Cooney, ran around the entire time making sure that my guests and I were well taken care of at the wedding. She prepared a special meal for my diabetic father to eat before the ceremony and she took great pains to make sure he was alright throughout the entire evening. She and her entire staff went above and beyond their call of duty and they were so incredibly NICE about every last minute request.
All of our guests had a great time and it was in large part to Solveig Cooney and her staff at The Café at the Glenview Park Club.

I just had my wedding there a few weeks ago and it was amazing! The golf course is beautiful, very well kept, with a lovely entrance way, and the café is cute and cozy, with great windows all around and very good food. The covered terrace is lovely, we had the cocktail hour there and it was great.
Most importantly, the manager Solveig is FANTASTIC! She went completely out of her way to make sure everything was perfect, she pays attention to every detail and has a great sense of aesthetics, and is also very classy and pleasant to work with. She helped us stay within our budget without compromising quality and style, and didn’t forget anything, we love her. I highly recommend the Café for any special event, and I’m sure it’s just as great for a casual lunch or dinner.

I was here for a wedding last weekend and really enjoyed this place! The drinks were good, the food was excellent particularly the ceasar salad and lemon & rosemary chicken! And the staff was wonderful, curtious and attentive it made for a great night. The golf course is really pretty and has a very elegant appeal, perfect wedding location!
