Every neighborhood wants a place that functions as a pleasant destination for the occasional date night, a family outing or a quick stop on the way home for a hot meal… A place that’s comfortable to hang out with the guys and have a few beers…

And it’s no doubt that Bayer’s Tavern is such a place.

Bayer’s Tavern prides itself on using local suppliers for fresh high quality food. We work hard on our daily specials so that you never get bored with the same old «pub food». (Even though it’s darn good pub food). Our kitchen is open daily until 1 am.

Bayer’s Tavern is in a neighborhood spot and is run by local neighborhood people. It’s a place where everybody knows your name, and if we don’t yet, then please introduce yourself ! We are involved in the community, and appreciate the support the community has given back to us. Bayer’s Tavern is a good spot to catch all of the big games with 3 large flat screen TV’s and there isn’t a bad seat in the house!

Our beer and liquor selection is quite extensive and should satisfy any beer or mixed drink cravings and our beer is always ICE cold.

We have been remodeling and renovating for quite a while now. We have made a million changes and of course will continue to make some more.

We did recently hire a very experience cook & bartender to handle the breakfast crowd due to the ongoing demand of our customers to… please start serving breakfast at 7 am.

Our family has lived in Gloucester City for many years.

All but two of our servers are Gloucesterites so we all know the clientele personally. They are not only our customers, they are our friends and neighbors!

Bayer’s has contributed to the community, including donating tee shirts to several city softball leagues, holding toy and clothing drives at holiday times, and sponsoring a 3 city shuffle bowl league.

Bayer’s servers are Pops Cowgill, Lila, Marybeth, Molly, Sheila, and Tiffany. A tight-​knit bunch that have a loyal following. Regular customers can often be seen helping un-​stick a stuck door, adjusting the juke box, or de-​icing a step – it’s just that kind of a place.
