David Ashton – Coldwell Banker

I can’t say enough good things about David Ashton. He was originally recommended to me by the contactor I was working with to prepare a relative’s house for sale. The contractor suggested that a realtor could provide guidance on what changes would provide the most value. A quick phone call and a few hours later, David arrived onsite. He proved to be an invaluable asset as we made decisions on what to change and what would pass muster. He stayed involved with us during the entire 3.5 month overhaul and even helped clean out the garage. All of this without any signed commitment that we would list the house with him. When it did come time to list the house, there was no doubt in my mind that we were going with David. Even so, I did my due diligence and everything I found said he was a top notch sales guy.
I should also mention that we live in another state and were managing all of this remotely. So for me, communication skills were essential. David communicates well and really knows the marketplace. He is also a semi-​professional photographer. The pictures he took of the house and property were amazing. He quickly adapts to any situation. For example, we had a huge influx of interest in the house at the onset and David immediately added a second open house. When it came to evaluating offers, he provided guidance and insight. Because of his fast response to requests, we had a contract within a few days of listing. David handled everything for the sale and more. He would regularly stop by and check on the house and even helped keep the pool clean. He also made sure the neighbors weren’t inconvenienced by the open houses. I would highly recommend David Ashton to anyone who is selling a home in Massachusetts. I would recommend him even more so if you live outside of Massachusetts and are trying to manage the process remotely. You won’t find a better, more ethical or nicer agent than David.
