If you get a window seat at Riverview, as its name implies, the views are phenomenal. Even on a somewhat dreary day, its a beautiful view of the river. Definitely a nice touch. Our waiter was fast, friendly, and attentive. No complaints there. The food wasn’t great. I ordered the seafood pasta, my girlfriend the grilled salmon. Both dishes were literally swimming in butter, and still fairly bland. The one menu item I was excited to try — the fried cheese ravioli — was«sold out» despite it being fairly early on a day where the town was quiet. I was a bit disappointed there. Gold Beach isn’t exactly loaded with dining options, so if you’re in town and you choose Riverview, its not a poor decision. However, earnest efforts by the waitstaff & good location aside, they can do better.

This place might have ruled if the menu was complete. I love fresh seafood in a sea town. As it was, they were out of both hamburgers(?!) and salmon(in a fishing town?!?). The cod was good when it tasted like cod more than like lemon. Three stars because the pizza was supposedly great, and because using a two-pound olive can as a pizza stand shows style.
