Still in love with this place and what the owners represent. They are super involved in our community and seem to be always using their success to bless our community. A great asset to Golden.

We got to enjoy the courteous staff, the great beer and sadly I lost in a game of scrabble. The food looked and smelled great but we were sadly not hungry. I will definitely be checking back again when I can get back to Denver.

Service is slow, which appears to be due to limited help. Food is mediocre. The wine slushy is quite tasty and the only reason I keep going back.

This has definitely become a new hang out of mine! I typically hate frequenting breweries, but they have a specialty that I’m a fan of: WINE SLUSHIES!!! They do it it with Malbec or a savignon blanc. Not a big fan of the white, but they let you blend them!
This spot is located right next to coors so it’s a great pit stop on your way out or to Washington for food. They serve typical bar food and some sandwiches, but nothing too special. It’s ok in a pinch but nothing to rave about.
This place features a porch which is great over the summer. When the weather is nice, the open the garage entrance to let in more light and fresh air. It’s got a divey ambiance and has some good ciders w
If that’s what you’re into. Be careful going to and from the bathroom. It’s a bit of a trek. If you’re not careful you might end up in a back kitchen or back of the neighboring shoe store.

I adored this place! Beer AND wine on tap?! Something for everyone!
Hubs did a flight of beers ($ 12-​$ 20) and I had a flight of wines (5 2oz. pours for $ 12). The reserve Zin is the best and I ended up having another glass of that while we watched our beloved Broncos march on to victory.
I tasted some of the beers too and they have quite a diverse selection. BBB makes about 5 of their own (along with an «infusion» which was fruit snacks while we were there) and they were all pretty tasty. I highly enjoyed the golden stout and the beer infused with gin. So different from any other beers I’ve ever had.
BBB offers a small assortment of food but allows you to bring in any food you want too. There’s an awfully tasty deli (D’Deli) just round the corner that we would highly recommend.
Golden definitely has a winner in this brewery. If we lived in the area we’d be there all of the time!

This was one of my favorite stops on vacation. The bartender was awesome, the brew names were hilarious, and the actual beer was some of the best I’ve ever had– Big LeBeerski and Hot Lips are on my top five list! You can order simple sandwiches, and hot-​damn if that wasn’t some of the best vegetarian fare I could find during my two weeks in CO. Great ambiance– board games and really nice, gigantic wooden tables, indoor and outdoor seating. Loved it, definitely on my see-​again list.
Mile-​high-​five, guys– you rule!

I like trying good beer, so I hit up Barrels and Bottles now and then because they get some pretty great and less common micro brews on their guest taps. Beer from places like Crooked Stave or Russian River. There is nowhere else in Golden to get beers like that on tap, and they are always tapping something new. I’ve also been pleased with their in-​house brews so far. The only thing stopping me from going there every week is that I can’t seem to spend less than 50 bucks on my wife and I every time. The prices aren’t crazy… it’s just that if you want harder to find beer, you’re gonna pay a little more. They also have a great cheese platter which often contributes to the attack on my wallet. In short, check this place out if you’re into the higher end micro stuff. It’s a perfect place to grab a drink after dinner in Golden when you don’t feel like heading home yet.

I NEVER write reviews but HAD to for B&B…absolutely love this place. Their own beers are great, the guest taps CONSTANTLY change and are always something new and interesting unlike the other places around that may have lots of selection but same olé’ yawner selection. Food is simple but super tasty. Love the fact they have different size pours and the prices are very reasonable. Ohhhh and if you aren’t in the mood for a yummy beeer, like 15 wines on tap that rotate! Whats their to bitch about?!

Really cool place! We found it on Unilocal and decided to start our week off right. Not bad for a Monday night! Good atmosphere and the beertenders were friendly and helpful.

Finally a place that has wifi here! Maybe I’m just spoiled where I live, but I’m used to ALL breweries offering wifi to guests. So far over here I haven’t experienced that until now! I’m visiting my aunt who had barely any reception yet alone wifi, which is why I was bummed that so many places in town haven’t offered wifi.
This place is great. Excellent service, fun ambiance, good music playing, and a TV. I had delicious Prarie Hop Saison.

Super friendly bartender that told me about the other microbrew bars in town. Nice but small place, sort of the industrial setting. Knows his beer (waaay better than me). They have an ongoing variety of brews so you won’t always find the same things. Wines on tap also. I enjoyed the gin barrel aged beer, that was interesting.
Inside and out seating, right up the street from the Buffalo Rose.
Definitely a place to go, sample the varieties and learn.

While they offer a good deal of variety, their prices are extremely high. Due to space limitations they buy very small quantities of product. Understandable. They double-​dip by dropping the serving size to 10 oz for most higher alcohol beers while still charging a very high price. So a 37% reduction in product for a price of $ 7 or more.
They do serve some food and have an outdoor area in the front. They also serve wine through nitrogen tap lines which helps preserve the product. I’m personally not a fan of the thick oversized bench seating and tables.

We visited Barrels and Bottles after a sunday hike at Table Mountain. I had high hopes because it was my first brewery in Golden.
Our visit turned put to be just ok. They have a lot of beers on tap, their own and visiting breweries. We got a flight of their brews and really the only one I liked was the sour. The rest were just ok, kind of bland and not super creative.
The patio wasn’t very big and has huge picnic tables that limit seating and make it feel quite cramped.
I did like their wine slushies! They have a red and a white. I couldn’t decide which one I wanted so we ordered both and shared them. I’m not a huge fan of white wine but the white wine slushie was yummo!
They have a kitchen offering little noshes and sandwiches. We had the hummus and veggie plate. Their hummus is really good!
The staff was friendly and checked on the patio peeps often .
From what I understand, they’re a newer brewery so I wouldn’t mind checking them out again sometime in the future to see how their beers are coming along.

We came here after a hike for our normal Sunday Funday Shenanigans. They have a small patio with a few tables where dogs are welcome, and the inside is very spacious. We grabbed a table outside and waited for our posse.
The bartenders were very friendly and we ordered a flight of their own brews. I really appreciate that they offer beers from other breweries, as well as wines. They also have wine slushies which really hit the spot on a 90 degree day. Another nice touch is that this is one of the few breweries that has a kitchen. Small plates like veggies and hummus and sandwiches and the like. We ordered the hummus and it’s really good.
To be honest, the only real downside was their own beers. We sampled everything they had on tap. Jess liked their sour, but I didn’t try it simply because I’ve tried enough sours to know I will always dislike them. They had a blonde stout that was creative, but overall I felt none of them were very well balanced. However I understand that they’re fairly new so it just may be a case of needing a little time to tweek. I will be willing to come back and try them again when I’m prowling around Golden.

I was looking forward to Barrels & Bottles since I knew they had a female brew master. I have to say I was let down on this visit.
Bryan M. & I got to the brewery at 8pm. hoping to get a flight and a bite to eat. We were informed the kitchen closed at 8. Seriously, this was a Friday night? We were told we could get some pizza from around the corner and bring it in. We decided to just split a flight and go to Anthony’s afterwards.
I didn’t really care for the ambiance of this place. There are a bunch of picnic tables inside and it was loud and crowded. I’m sure when the weather is nice and the patio doors are opened up the vibe is more my style.
My flight consisted of M*A*S*H*E*D Hot LIps Sour, Go Wit It Extra Wit, Sure Thing IPA, Wanda Mae’s Peach Pie and Pixie’s Stout. I gave them all but one a 3 or 3.5* on Untapped. My favorite was Go Wit It which I gave a 4,5* for the nice taste of fruit and spices for a Witbier.
If I’m up in Golden I may swing by and get another Go Wit It or give some other beers a try. Perhaps I can get there in time to grab a sandwich. The food looked tasty.

I have to agree with Bethany’s review where she said this place didn’t really have the brewery vibe. Although they produce their own beer I feel it’s a bit misleading and they are trying to leverage the trend. The reality is that they have a handful of their own beers on tap while I having a huge selection of other beers and wines. Speaking of which, it’s probably the first ‘brewery’ that has wine.
Overall, I thought the vibe was okay. I wouldn’t mind popping in and grabbing a beer but I am not sure I would go out of my way to come here. The beers they make are pretty good– not excellent– but pretty good. Definitely better than Coors! ;)

This place is wonderful. Seriously! Barrels & Bottles recently had their one year anniversary. This reminded me how long it had been since my last visit to Golden. So, we hit the road on a Friday afternoon with B&B as the first stop of the afternoon. It did not disappoint. This is a beautiful space in a great location. If I lived nearby, I have no doubt this would be my regular watering hole.
We walked past the nice patio and secured a few seats at the bar. My bar-​stool was cushy and comfy with nice back support. There are a lot of lovely, liquid libations from which to choose here. Aside from the six house beers, they had an extensive selection of guest taps, 24 wines on tap (with some mead thrown in) and even a wine slushee machine. They also serve food. Although the caprese sandwich looked really good (they even make some of their own cheese) we did not eat on this visit.
My flight of house beers offered a price break versus individual samples. These were full 5-​ounce pours. I liked everything I tried. I particularly enjoyed the Go Wit It Extra Wit, but the Cin-​Ful Porter was notable as well. I also had a taste of some very nice mead, (Peaches’ N Honey from Meadery of the Rockies) which did indeed have fresh aromatic flavors of summer peaches and mild honey. We finished up with a layered wine slurpee of malbec and sauvignon blanc that was quite refreshing.
I had a chance to chat with the owners (Zach and Abby). These two are a very nice couple who are justifiably proud of this establishment. Right before we left, we also had a chance to sample the Barrel-​Ly Strange Pale Ale (A pale ale with Guatemala Huehuetenango Coffee from Pangea Coffee Roasters and Cacao Nibs added post-​fermentation), and this may have been my favorite out of everything we enjoyed on this fine Autumn afternoon.

This is a nice little place to enjoy great beer from people who are knowledgeable and care about its craft. I wanted to try numerous beers so I went with the flight option. If you can, please try their own brew called Hot Lips. Even though it had a low alcohol content, it was enjoyable with hoppy flavors colliding with sweet fruit. Also I tried their Wanda Mae’s Peach Pie brown ale. I’m not a fan of brown ales but this was pleasant. I mostly wanted to stick with the beers they brewed.
If you know someone who takes wine over beer, they will enjoy this place as well! Plenty of wines to choose from and you can order a flight of wine. The bar tender was pleasant to talk to and knew his stuff about beer. If I’m ever in Golden again, this will be one of my «must go» places.

I dig Barrels & Bottles. It feels local, their staff is knowledgeable, and they have a great variety of beers, plus some additional options for the ale-​averse.
My boyfriend went to school in Golden, so we stopped in B&B with his parents and some college friends before heading to a wedding in Keystone. Most of us had flights, but his mom had the red wine slushie and it was actually really good! Who knew a childish twist on an adult beverage would work so well? I learned that I don’t like sour beers, but that’s the perk of ordering flights: find some winners, rule out some losers. The large square tables make it perfect for group get-​togethers, and as if it couldn’t get any better: they allow dogs!

They had around 15 guest taps, 3 house brews, around 20 wines and a half dozen oils when we stopped in Saturday afternoon. This place was so super rad!
They also have a large fusion set up with hops they change out daily and a rotating tap for you to sample the freshness. We had a flight of 5 samples for $ 12, a pint each and took a growler home!
For their in house brews they had probably the best winter ale I’ve ever had, a delicious wheat and a blonde ale that was so tasty we had to take some home. It was $ 6 for the growler & $ 12 for the fill.
We parked at the bar and chatted with the beer guy about how awesome it is to have such great breweries everywhere in Colorado and how they are all encouraging an cooperative and not snobby and competitive. He was super knowledgeable about the beers, even those guest ones from out of state.
I had a super yummy Julian black and blue cider as well! They have some olive oils, etc. for sale and a bunch of amazing looking wines too. But, as we had to get back to Denver and didn’t want to waste the whole day I couldn’t try everything that I wanted to — which was everything. None the less, we loved this place!
They had a lot of large tables and a decent size bar and patio. We’ll have to return in warmer weather so that I can try a wine slushie!
