Brought my Evo 8 in for a quick cleaning of my battery terminals. Very friendly staff and they did a quick AND good job. Definitely coming back in the future and sending friends their way. Highly recommended.
Also their shop was very clean and organized, which is unusual lol

I had my 2000 cougar towed to Automotive Technician Group after I talked to Selven on the phone. The understanding was that the shop will check out why the car did not start and get back to me with expected cost.
Selven, called me back and stated that the car needed a new alternator and the cost would be $ 375 for the parts and $ 240 for labor. The total bill would have been $ 615. This was higher than the local Ford dealer who quoted me $ 207 for a new Motorcraft top of the line alternator and a local shop that quoted me $ 200 for labor.
I called Selven back and stated that I would provide him with the alternator from Perry Ford and would pay him the $ 240 for his labor and if he could also fix the ignition lock. He agreed and he eventually charged me $ 155 for repairing the ignition key lock.
Well I should have been happy with a $ 395 labor bill but here is the rest of the story:
A week after this repair was made by the Automotive Technician Group, I found out that the battery was not secured in the car after they recharged it and consequently was bouncing in the battery tray, which caused the positive cable to be partially severed so that it did not charge properly and impacted the performance of the alternator. The end result was that the battery drained completely and was damaged (this was a 3 month old battery). I also found out that the ignition lock was not repaired properly as the key cannot be inserted cleanly, it’s hard and does not always work the first time.
Because of the shoddy work at Automotive Technician Group. I had to replace the positive cable to the alternator from the battery and replace the battery for an additional cost of $ 400.
I gave Selven and the Automotive Technician Group a 1 star because they were very nice on the phone even though they charge more than premium retail prices and deliver low quality work.
BTW: Read the reviews for ATG in Unilocal not Automotive Technical Group, they are more reflective of what service you will get. This is my only Unilocal review ever, I am always very fair and satisfied with small business owner as I know they are trying to make a living. Not this time and never again with ATG or Automotive Technical Group.

I couldn’t ask for more. This is where I will be bringing my car in the future.
They were incredibly polite and jovial. They showed me everything that they fixed and the ways in which the old parts were damaged, they explained why certain parts needed fixing, and they did it all extremely quickly (especially since I was a drop in). Plus, they checked my car to make sure that everything else was working well AND they gave me excellent recommendations for other spots to take my car when it needs services that they don’t offer. I even saw them recommend another client to a different auto shop who specialize in what the client needed, even though they could have done the work. Overall, they seemed very trustworthy.

I had a great experience taking my car here. They were able to help me immediately and treated me with respect. I was strained for time and they were able to meet my needs. When they found the problem they recommended me to get it fixed for free under warranty and only charged a small diagnostics fee. I would take my vehicle back here again without a doubt.

These guys are great — and honest. I took my car in because the AC had stopped working. I was getting ready for a road trip up the I-​5 and did not want to be without AC. They quoted $ 57.50 to check and repair. What they found was a wire had become disconnected. They fixed it and REFUSED to charge me anything, because the «fix» was, to them, so easy.

These guys are really fantastic — honest and upfront about everything! Jamie is fantastic and really takes the time to explain your options before they do the work. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else.

We love ATG! Have been taking our cars to them since 2000 and could never switch to another because we KNOW what we are getting here… top notch service at fair prices, not the cheapest, but fair. Jamie is so knowledgeable, passionate about his business, as well as caring. He works with us on what is really needed and tells us what we can wait for which we appreciate being on a tight budget.
He has worked on all makes & models – we’ve taken to him both American and Foreign cars, trucks and an old minivan. He keeps us on the road with good regular maintenance and when we need a new used car he checks it over for us to make sure it’s worthy.
One thing I really appreciate about Jamie is one time we had a really awesome (my opinion) older Acura. Had I not known, I’d just keep pouring money into it b/​c I loved it. But Jamie said it was time to rebuild the engine and he wouldn’t bother doing that because of the cost to value ratio. He recommended finding a new used car. Smart man. Thank you Jamie for so many years of awesome service!

Took my car here after it broke down on me, and got wonderful service. The shop is small enough that the customer service is extremely personal and you know that they’re not making you purchase something you don’t need.
My car got repaired in one day, which is almost unheard of for most shops– I felt like I was a priority even though it was my first time in the shop. The GM was also very good about getting back to my phone calls and keeping in touch with me. Great and friendly shop– definately going back for my future repairs.
