Bream Optometry

Bream Optometry is Fantastic! They are efficient, use advanced equipment and very friendly. From the first point of contact to the end of my visit I felt I was in good hands! See any of their Doctors, they are all amazing and helpful! They also accept walk’ins and do the best to get you in and out. FIVE STAR VISIT!

I had a pleasant experience at Bream Optometry. Dr. Bream is a great optometrist and a great person. I got a glasses r (x), contact r (x) and the retinal photo scans and am happy and impressed with all three. The exams are very well priced and the doctor’s are knowledgeable and personable.

Dr. Bream is a wonderful doctor! She is very caring and makes every appointment fun. Her staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Bream has had eye surgery herself, making her a perfect doctor to co-​manage her patients surgeries!!!

Dr. Bream is fantastic! My husband, son, mother and myself have been patients of hers for years. She is thorough in her exams and extremely attentive to accuracy and detail. Her knowledge of everything to do with the eye is unsurpassed as she regularly attends continuing education seminars and even is the speaker at some. All of her equipment is state of the art, and combined with her intuition the result is perfection for all eye care needs. I have recommended many friends and families to her, and I always get a big thank you from them after their visit. Dr. Bream even diagnosed a disease in one of my friend’s eye that another optometrist missed, and was able to refer her to a specialist. Her staff is professional and helpful, and along with Dr. Bream will take the time to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Heather in the front office spent hours, patiently teaching my son, then 14, how to insert a contact lens in his eye. He was terrified at even the idea, but with her perseverance he did it and was thrilled that he could see without glasses. Now 22, he has worn them ever since.

I had been going to Dr. Cory Bream for years and something has definitely changed. There came a turning point where every transaction has become a complete nightmare. The front desk girl was very condescending and Dr. Cory Bream must be at a point in her life where she just stopped treating her patients like human beings. I asked a question and she took offense and made feel stupid for asking. Everything was very rushed, had to come back because the contacts I was prescribed blurred my vision. After much hassle they switched me to a different brand of contacts with another completely different prescription. Now that I want to reorder, I can’t because they never gave me the new prescription. I’ve been told the front desk girl no longer works there. Hopefully Cory Bream has realized that her customers should be treated with respect.

Best eye doctor ever ! Walked in, because the DMV had some concerns with the eyes of my 16 year old daughter. The staff, especially Milena, were extra friendly and took us straight away. Dr. Andersen was the most competent eye doctor we have ever met and after thorough yet rapid testing, came to the exact right conclusion. Our daughter is now wearing a single contact lense, which she loves and got her DMV certificate the same day.
We will come back !

Yes, the office is often crowded and they don’t take their leisurely time with you, but what do you expect? I’ve gone here the last three years. Every time I have questions and even though the appointments run to an end, I ask what I want to know and their responses are always useful.
Practical location within the Costco. They’re also open until 6 pm, which is longer than most offices.

I made an appt in advance — was sent a text and email reminder — which was great because I had forgotten. Showed up at my appointment and finished within 30 minutes. Opt for the $ 17 eye photo — it cut my appointment time down and I was in and out.
I’ve never been pressured to buy anything or change to anything. Which is nice. I’ve had doctors move me to other lenses because they were the latest and greatest. I’m happy with what I’m using. I really like that about Dr. Bream.

This clinic is located inside Costco by the eyeglasses counter and customer service desks. It is not in the main shopping part of the store. Its space was remodeled in November 2014 and is very clean and modern.
Convenient location and great aesthetics aside, I really liked Dr. Bream and her staff. I don’t know why, but it’s rare to find pleasant, upbeat personalities in customer service encounters in SB. I got that here. I also got very good care. Dr. Bream did an excellent job explaining an eye condition to me, making study-​backed recommendations around vitamins and eye drops, and reassuring me overall. The way in which she explained things was especially conscientious and clear.
Like others, though, my appointment ran late. I tried to avoid this problem by booking the first appointment of the day, but Dr. Bream herself arrived 20 minutes late and was a little scattered initially. I liked her a lot personally, though, and so I can overlook this and deal with it going forward.
Other reviewers have complained about a lack of seating. There are three seats inside the clinic itself. It’s a small space and it’s inside Costco — I think three seats are reasonable.

Called in to see if they would accept a walk-​in and of course they said yes. 5 minutes later I arrive to a full waiting room with no place to sit. I asked if it would be very long and there response was not at all maybe 30 minutes. About an hour later they process my initial visit with the glaucoma test then the peripheral test and two other test. I asked if I could go walk around they said no because they wouldn’t be able to find me. Then more waiting for the actual eye exam. 2 hours into the visit I ask how much longer for the exam. They kindly say another 30 minutes at which point I notice they will be closing so I had to walk out know very well I wasted my time. Worst office ever. Avoid like the plague. I will never set foot in there ever again.

It makes me sad to have to write such a negative review, but the experience I had with Dr. Bream about two years ago has stayed with me so long that I feel the need to share it. I went in to see Dr. Bream about some concerns I had about my vision and night driving. I had never worn glasses before, so this was my first visit to the optometrist. After waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes past my appointment time (I was informed by the staff that she was running behind), Dr. Bream finally took me into her office for my examination. As someone who has never worn glasses and had just waited nearly an hour and a half extra just to see her, I was expecting I would receive at least 15 minutes of her time. Well, I’d be lucky to say that I even got 10. Everything was extremely rushed. I didn’t feel comfortable asking Dr. Bream questions about my vision/​prescription, and it seemed she was very quick to scribble something down to get me out of the office. When the glasses finally came in, I found them to be more of an impediment to my vision than a help. I even went in to have my prescription altered a week or so later, and I felt I was just annoying her. Dr. Bream’s was a waste of time, money, and honestly just a sad reminder of how doctor’s office visits shouldn’t be. If I could do it over again… I just wouldn’t. Save yourself the hassle.

Highly recommend. Tiny office in the Costco. Five Stars is for Dr. Bream. Caring, smart, attentive. She will make sure you get the help you need. She is a local favorite, for good reason.

This is a five star office all the way. The doctor is amazing. She is thorough, has great attention to detail, and took time to listen to me. Her staff is great! They were so friendly, got me in to see the doctor right away, and had a smile to kick. I’d highly recommend this office– they are first class from doctor to staff. Very impressed!
