Called to get a tractor pulled from a grove. The driver was so helpful. Charged a very fair price and even stayed to make sure we were safely loaded. Wonderful service at a fair price. It is a shame that tow truck drivers get such a bad rap, this is not your typical towing service. I would recommend them to anyone.

Simple. They are crooks. Called at the last minute to say they just found out where we were. When we made the appointment 2 days before, they asked where we are and where the car was being towed to. Then gave us a price. Doubled the price a half hour before showing up.

My car was towed at midnight, and I found that they opened my car without my agreement!!! After I paid the fee, the driver left my car with the steering wheel still locked. I called their company and the guy called me back after an hour without show up anymore!!!

Of course Thomas Towing would only have two stars… they are a towing company!
I would have to say that every experience I have had with them has always been a pleasant one. They have towed my cars multiple times for me and I have never had any issues. The staff is always friendly and easy to deal with. If you ever are stuck in a jam and need a tow I would highly recommend you contact them!

Contact about a car we sold 10 years ago. Apparently title didn’t transfer right, and the car had been towed, impounded and say eventually junked. They wanted $ 4900 dollars for a $ 300 car we hadn’t seen in a decade. Suffice it to say, we have obtained legal counsel and they won’t be getting a dime from me. They didn’t meet the notification statutes and hence they have no standing.

Predatory towing company with incompetent, rude, and disgusting employees. They particularly like to target college students around Goleta, near UCSB. They’ll tow your car in the early hours of the morning, even if it parked for less than an hours and then charge a $ 320 towing, recovery, and gate fee. I see them towing cars every morning and trying to be as inconspicuous and quick as possible. Also, if you don’t have all proper paper work or you pick up your car past 5pm, then there are additional fees. Fuck you, swine assholes. Thank-​you for making the lives of college students even more difficult, particularly during Mid-​terms and finals weeks. Pricks

I was pretty shocked to see how people responded to having a tow truck on their street. I think they might be even more hated than parking enforcement. So many rude people, even had someone throw balloons at us. Thanks, not only do I have to go get a new tire but also wash my car now.
I didn’t get the name of the driver who helped me, but he was incredibly helpful and nice. I have a mini cooper and it’s always complicated to get serviced, but this wasn’t as bad as I thought it was gonna be.

Worst towing service in Santa Barbara area prices to even see your car are way threw the roof about $ 120. Second they are so unprofessional and rude I almost got in a physical altercation with the guy at the gate because of his attitude and disrespectfulness. To top it off I never even chose this towing company because I had got a dui and obviously you can’t choose your towing company. Anyways I would never take my business to shady people like this, there main priority is just to pretty much take all your money and give u a freaking headache. SAVE YOUR $ AND TIME. Do not go to these people.

I am honestly disgusted by this so called business. Yup, this is one of those reviews where the person states, «I’m not the type to write reviews, but I was so upset by the ‘service’ here that I will.» The people are rude, inconsiderate, unprofessional scammers. Just like everyone else stated they charge ridiculous prices and have endless «policies.» Like the $ 110 gate fee if you want to pick up your car on the weekend when they are closed, yet they will still charge you $ 80 per day including weekends you do not get your car. Or the whole fax ordeal. Getting consent of the owner is fine. But they have no mercy, and do not accept email, phone calls, written letters or anything.
Ok, so let’s say I accept the fact that I was not the person who parked the car, and a friend whom had parked for me parked in a spot 15 ft away with the same parking number from the spot I own & paid for, at an adjacent lot & apartment while I was oversees for a funeral. Sucks.
They needed the fax from my dad still out of the country. They did not want to accept any other sort of verification and again insisted on the outdated fax.
Told me I was trying to get around their wack ass system when I tried to show them flight tickets and use an online site to send the fax in order to prove he was away and finish the transaction.
Charged me another $ 80 despite my efforts and probable 4 times in and out of the place all day because my dad couldn’t send this fax before 5pm due to the time difference and his access.
Total $ 860
This place does not deserve even your business…
Also heard from a friend that not all of their belongings were in the car upon pick up at this place.

Thomas towed my car when no one else would! Got there quickly and gave me a very fair price! Was planning on getting my car towed to the vw dealership, but when they didnt accept my car there, thomas took it to my buddy’s apartment, no extra charge! What a guy that Thomas!

This place is such a sham. I received a letter from them saying they had impounded my car. It happened to be a car I sold 3 years ago. When I called the the woman that answered the phone only told me that the car would be my responsibility if title never transferred and that i was responsible for the $ 1200 bill. If I didn’t want to be responsible for increased amounts, I would have to get there asap. She was very good at creating anxiety. When I asked to speak to an owner, I was told he wasnt in. I left my number and he never called me. She didn’t take anytime to understand that perhaps the car wasn’t mine.
I called the DMV and they said that companies like this will often send out lien letters to former owners.
I would NEVER do business with them based on how they handled the phone call. They were so misleading and shady in how they handled the call. They are such a sham. Shame on them for doing such shady business.

They have moved to a new address and should update this info on their website. I went to the 903 Kellogg location stated on their website and there’s nothing there. The new Thomas Towing location is 8 Depot Road, Goleta, CA 93 117

I was visiting a friend in Santa Barbara, and was told by my friend and the property manager that parking in front of the building would be okay, only to find my car gone on a Saturday (who tows on a Saturday?!) when we were trying to get back to San Francisco. Had to stay in SB for an extra couple of days because they could only give me my car on Monday. When I spoke to them they were completely rude and unsympathetic. The property manager called them and explained that I had been granted permission to park in the building’s lot and the towing company mollified him by telling us it would only cost $ 230. Imagine our surprise when we show up on Monday to a $ 480 bill. Absolutely ridiculous. On top of it, all the guys working there were being creeps when we went to pick up the car. Avoid at all costs.

I needed to tow my car to the mechanics and my insurance company sent Thomas Towing. They arrived very quickly (within 30 minutes of calling). The tow truck driver ended up diagnosing the problem for me, saving me a tow to the mechanics and a ton of money! He even classified it as a service call instead of a tow so I wouldn’t lose one of my free tows with my insurance company. Overall great experience!

I brought a towed car off these guys and they knew that there was over 300.00 dollars in back fees to DMV pending on it and still over charged me. First the auto was clearly marked for $ 600.00 on the window by marker they wrote then they wanted $ 800.00 for it. They really ripped me off!!!

What a scam. They towed my daughter’s car yesterday and she called them to get the car. It was around 4pm. They wouldn’t release the car to her, because I am the owner and said I had to FAX a release letter and copy of my license to them.
Of course, I was 30 minutes away from home. I asked the guy if I could email him. He said they don’t accept emails because they need a signature. So I said I would write the release out and sign it and take a picture of it and my license and email that to him. He had to get approval for this, which took a while. Then he said I could handle it that way, so I did.
Then he said they were now closed and that it would cost an extra $ 100 for him to stay to release the car to her. She decided to pick it up first thing in the morning to save the money.
When she got there in the morning, two women were working. They wouldn’t accept the documents I have transmitted via email, even though they contained my signature. The photos they had received were more authentic than what they would get over a fax, yet they wouldn’t accept them.
While my daughter was standing there crying, one of the women called her «a pain in the ass» and my daughter told her that was unprofessional.
I sent a fax of the release letter, and then they said they need me to fax the license in addition. So much for their reason for requiring a fax: the image I emailed them is the same exact image I faxed them.
Who still uses a fax when documents can be digitally signed and or have actual verified signature images?
And the bill? $ 345.

I just want to say this is an unfair company and they charge unreasonable fees, I should say that they played nasty tricks to charge people as much as they could to make money at very low cost !
They towed my car at my apartment at night because they did not see my permit which should be hanging over back mirror. In the morning I called back and I was informed to charge me by a total amount of $ 405 fees, I felt so ridiculous and I was trying to explain that my parking permit is in the car they could find inside, still my landlord could testify on behalf of me that I am the resident. But people there responded too rude to listen to my explanation. They leave no way for me that I have to pay full amount, I can believe it includes gate fee like $ 110(I could not understand anymore that they said the fee it was because during weekend court should be closed. They just opened the gate, so I got charged that much… You could not imagine it any more! It was like the towers stole my money…

They towed my car overnight. Sometime at 3−5am in the morning and I had my keys and my cellphone on me but everything else in the car. I get there in the morning and when they finally release my car after some paperwork…
BUT.
it was a total of 445… which was ridiculous since I pickedi it up around 11am in the morning and my paycheck which I recieved from work the night before was gone. YUP. gone. the whole envelope, which was inside my purse. The whole time, overnight. no signs of break in or anything. Its kinda ridiculous how inconspicuous it was stolen too. My GPS, ipod and other things were still there… even some petty cash (dollar bills) just that whole envelope was missing…
wow…unbelievable. Thinking about whether if I should sue or not.
