History

Established in 2002.

Gateway Gallery & Gift Shop is snuggled into the cozy town of Gorham New Hampshire. It has made it’s home on Exchange Street along with other unique shops and restaurants.

We are a locally owned and operated art gallery featuring local arts and artists, past and present. Our White Mountain Memorabilia centers on historical art work and advertising ephemera. Our local art is originals and prints. Mini frames are available for you own special art and mementos.

What makes Gateway Gallery Different? We specialize in preservation framing, the process and materials used to encase your artwork in a protected environment, as well as 3-D shadowbox framing, helping to turn your mementos into works of art to display with pride.

Meet the Business Owner

Carla L.

Business Owner

The camera has always been more than just a recording device for me, it spurs the imagination and expands creative vision. The darkroom is its natural extension — the womb where the seed matures into its ultimate form. Encouraged and critiqued by a cousin who taught photography at Boston’s School of the Museum of Fine Arts, picking brains, taking classes, learning rules and breaking same until opportunity knocked in 1973. That year put me to the test as a member of a photography department where more people shared their knowledge. Since then it has become the way to marry my love of the natural world with the art of the photograph. As one of my instructors said «there is always something out there taking of the light and giving back its best. Your job is to find it.»

Framing and sharing my own and others’ work is a natural extension of this love. Thus the Gateway Gallery was born.
