History

Established in 2006.

Limoncello at the Orange Inn was opened in August 2006 by brothers Luigi & Victor Kapiti. The building itself dates back to 1790. A courthouse, a post office, and an inn, all are major parts of Limoncello’s history. The Orange Inn housed many famous, and historical figures over time, mostly from the Revolutionary War era, but ranging from George Washington, to James Cagney. During the civil war, the Inn was used as a safe haven for escaped slaves. The Orange Inn became a staple of the Goshen community, with its horse-​shoe shaped bar facing the race track, becoming very well known throughout the area. Unfortunately, the business being ran down from generation, to generation, the building fell far from what it once was. In 2004, the Kapitis took on a two year renovation project which included adding a dining room where the bar once stood, windows, chandeliers, rock archways, and beautiful stonework. Now, Limoncello at the Orange Inn hosts private parties, lunch, and dinner.

Chef Armand has been cooking since he was a child, who grew up in Holland surrounded by cooks at home. He has written three locally centered cookbooks, Adirondack Cookbook, Adirondack Cuisines, and Wings Across America: 150 outrageously delicious chicken wings recipes. Armand loves to use ingredients that are more unique, and rare for restaurants around this area. He is very versatile, and creative, and specializes in «culturally blended specials.»
