A & R Swimming Pool

Have been buying chemicals and pool stuff there for many years. I bought a Polaris debris bag less than a month ago which normally last at least a year. The Velcro has fallen apart on it so it will not stick together. The owners solution to the defective product was to sell me a new one for half price. I don’t think so. It should have been replaced free of charge. I will never again give A & R Swimming Pools my business and I will make sure others in the community take their business elsewhere.

We used to use Leslies across the street, until the ownership changed. I Tried A & R and there were really helpful. I help my parents with their pool. The equipment is very old, but they still try to help me keep it going. He once modified the power transducer since a new one was not available any more. Eventually the heater went bad and they installed that and new pump. The system works great now. I feel confident that they will help my parents, if I cannot be there to fix things.

Came in to speak to someone about the DWP rebate for a new pool pump as mine was dying and the pool was turning green in me. After 5 mins I had all the information and options laid out for me. Then they did something I didn’t expect. They came to my house an hour later and looked at what I had. Two hours later I have a new pump installed up and running!!! Amazing service folks! Thank you very much. Oh and they did all the paperwork for me to get my rebate as well.!! So after I get my rebate this day cost me 400.00 and no hassle. Amazing service!!!

Went in today, Friday, 5−2−14 to return an empty chlorine case and bottles. I wanted to retrieve my deposit ($ 6). The guy at the store when bought them was OK. This time a sour puss older man who was at the register. He asked when I left the deposit, and when I answered, he pulled a $ 5 bill from his own pocket and gave it to me. The deposit had been $ 6.00. Oh well, why argue? Since I needed the on/​off pins for the filter timer, and I was there, I asked if they had them. Silence, except to ask if it was a yellow timer. When I said yes, I was led to a place in the store, he reached up and handed me a plastic bag with two pins that looked like what I wanted. I asked the price, was told $ 10.00, I handed them back and left. A couple of minutes later I went elsewhere purchased the same items (with 4 pins instead of 2) at for $ 2.29. I will not go back to this place, ever.
