On Edge Skating is a figure skating retailer. We offer a wide range of figure skating boots, blades, and clothing. We also handle skate maintenance such as sharpenings & waterproofing.

In the Fall of 2010 we opened Colorado’s first year round synthetic ice rink. We offer Learn to Skate group lesson classes and, open skating times. As our business grows we plan on expanding the size of our rink. Advertising is available for additional info please call the rink at 970.812.4109

History

Established in 2010.

On Edge Skating started as a online Pro Shop catering specifically to figure skaters. Selling boots, blades, training wear, and handling skate maintenance such as sharpenings, blade mounting, and waterproofing.

In the summer of 2010 our local rink closed it’s doors. That left the community with out a place to skate since the closest rink is almost 90 minutes away. We decided to take the plunge and started a synthetic rink and started with a rink size of 15’x15’. One of the nice things about us being a synthetic rink is that expansion is fairly easy. We have several programs that are geared to helping to grow the size of our rink. We offer over 30 hours of open skate times each week along with Learn to Skate group lessons. As we grow more and more programs will be added.

Meet the Manager

Charles C.

Manager

Charles has been involved in figure skating for over 30 yrs. As a competitive skater Charles competed nationally and internationally. Charles has been a coach for almost 15 years. His background is in singles and pairs. He teaches both competitive and recreational skaters of all levels.

Charles was one of the original test market skaters when synthetic ice first began to hit the market back in the 1980’s. Synthetic ice has come a long way since then and he enjoys bringing skaters to another tool they can utilize for their training to become stronger skaters.
