Tried this place for the first time today! It was great! I got the footling ham and turkey! I will be back!!!

Their three most popular are Italian, chicken salad and club. There are two sizes 6 and 12 inch. Prices range from 3.69 to 5.99. I went with a footlong Italian. The Italian was a bit big to fit my mouth around it. Due to the meat being salty, the Italian had flavor but nothing to tell your friends about it. Honestly not impressed with a 12 inch Italian.

Great prices. I got the meatball marinara for $ 3.99. Tasted good, plenty of meat and sauce. Bread was chewy, the way I like it. It does no better than most sandwich places, but not worse either. Service was okay, only one person was working so the line was long. She was working for the sub shop and the taqueria so it was understandably rough. She apologized and was pleasant so I didn’t mind. But they could use more help. Overall-I will come back for the price and maybe try the chicken salad everyone is talking about.

Been twice now and door is locked during business hours, either permanently closed or the worst business owners. If it’s not closed, it will be soon.

The chicken salad was DELICIOUS! I wasn’t expecting this place to be any good but it turned out to be great. The sandwiches come with a LOT of meat and will fill you up. I’m happy to support a mom&pop shop that tastes much better than crappy franchises like Subway.

The restaurant is decent sized and the employees where incredible kind and had great service! The sandwiches are better and cheaper than the subway just down the road. If I had to mark it down for anything, the say the menu is a little small. Otherwise it’s great food from a great local small business…

I’ve been meaning to go and I finally made it today. The sub was okay, but nothing special. The owner is very nice and talks to you. The sandwich just wasn’t that special.

Great prices. Good quality meats, breads and condiments. Strange décor(or lack of). Very friendly service. I’ve found a new sub-shop, yay!

this guy gets 4 stars because 1. location — right next to my home which is utterly lacking of any local food places to eat at 2. price: massive subs for only 6ish bucks??? forget your whimpy soggy foot long from subways and eat here for double the sammich size!!! the size of his bread is enormous! you could easily feed 2 – 3 ppl on one foot long sized sub. 3. this dude bakes his own freaking bread! now, i’d say the white is much better than the wheat. it has a nice chewy texture that is just great with their italian meats. however, i’d say white always wins in the bread battle. 4. italian combo sandwich was pretty tasty with their hot peppers. more tasty than jimmy johns? not sure, but it sure is HUGE! and there is no jimmy johns near by. downsides: 1. interior design needs a lot of work. it’s basically empty inside with orange colored walls that look like a chuck-e-cheese gone out of business. 2. the toaster oven that they use to toast your sandwich is pretty small & pitiful. I can imagine if it ever gets really busy they’re gonna have long wait times. don’t ask why i’m hating on a toaster oven. 3.unlike most sandwich/burrito establishments, you can’t see the toppings that they’re putting on your sandwich. Their counter’s layout is strange, instead of showcasing the fresh toppings, they are all blocked by a massive metal cover… it’s not as visually welcoming to the customer 4. needs more dressing choices for the sandwich. i’m a big sauce girl. interesting home-made sammich spread excite me! all they have here is standard mayo, mustard, oil/vinegar. 5. no menu, it’s basically a piece of faded paper taped to the counter. so it’s kind of hard to imagine what you’re getting.

A bit thrown off when you walk inside. This place is connected to Peppers. It’s smaller than a Subway. It’s not a gourmet sandwich, and that is all they have on this side, sandwiches. But the sandwiches were good, we saw the meat sliced fresh that day, and prices are spot on. Service was a little on the slow side, but it’s a mom and pop shop, quite literally, so I’m forgiving. They’re not super professional, but if that’s what you’re expecting, this isn’t the place for you. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, and this is the get to know the owners kind of place, where they are working as opposed to running the joint.

I almost walked out after arriving at this Subway knock-off sub shop. I don’t think they will make it much longer in business based on what I saw here. The sandwich was very ordinary. Break was not too bad, but there wasn’t anything else worth writing about.

Good Subs — Friendly Owner This place is a neat little find… as other reviews suggest it is similar to Subway, but that is because the owner used to work for Subway… the comparisons end there…(well sort of, the olives taste like subway, and I love those olives). The key here is the bread, baked and made fresh each day, the owner is responsible for making and baking and they only offer white or wheat. That said it is delicious bread. Much larger than Subway… and very tasty. The footlong is footlong but it is wide. It reminds me of the bread from an LA sandwich shop called Togo’s and that is a good thing. The bread is delicious. At this point there is a little construction going on because the family is opening a taco shop next door, but that does not get in the way. The sandwiches are very good and a 6 inch is $ 2.99 while the footlong is $ 4.99 or better yet two footlongs for $ 8.99 The quality of the meat is better than subway and the toppings tasted fresh. The one thing I did not like about this restaurant is that at Subway you can see the ingredients that are being put on your sandwich, where here they use a metal or aluminum cover to keep the produce cold, and when lifted it blocks the view of the client from seeing the fresh produce, which is NOT a big deal, but I like to see what is going on my sandwich and this could be easily remedied, and if not the client just can look around the corner of the lid and see what is going on the sandwich. My wife had the chicken salad and said it was one of the best she has ever had… I had the italian brothers sandwich which comes with fresh herbs… really nice. I look forward to going back, the place needs support, but it is very good and the price is right. I cant wait to see what their taco place next door tastes like, but in the meantime, this will be my new sandwich shop!

To keep it short and sweet: — Amazing Sandwiches — Fresh, High Quality Products — Great Service — Extremely Cheap The longer version: A close friend of mine lives down the road from Pile On Subs and he suggested it when we went out for lunch one day. Upon first seeing the place, I was unsure. It is a little bit of a dive in a local shopping center. But in reality, a lot of the best places are unsuspecting dives. It turned out that this place was a diamond in the rough. The sandwiches were unreal and it was as cheap as can be. Since my first trip, I now go back any time I’m in the area. Everything is good but my favorites are the Italian Brothers(Typical Italian Combo) and the Crispy Chicken with the homemade spicy honey mustard. I highly suggest that you try this place out. You won’t be disappointed and you also will be supporting a local business.

Are they the best sub I’ve ever had? No. Are they much better than Subway a couple of blocks further down the street? YES! If you live close by, and have a hankering for something cheap and substantial, go here! I like that they aren’t a big chain store with employees who don’t care. They are a family all working together on their business venture, and as a business owner myself where we work together as a family, I can really appreciate that. I would hands down give them my business over Subway anyday!

I live about half an hour away from Pile On Subs(deep Mansfield/Rendon area), and I will make the drive(and then some) to have the freshest, tastiest subs I have ever had the privilege to set my taste buds on. I am NEVER disappointed with the food: the fresh veggies, fresh grated cheese, cooked to order chicken(crispy chicken or grilled chicken herb), and of course, THEBREAD! I know it’s a little wait on the food, but I would wait an extra 5 minutes for quality food than get a «sub“par sandwich from a tasteless Subway. It’s a small business owned and managed by a friendly family from LA, and they really care about making the best food they can make every time my friends and I go there. I usually get the: Buffalo Chicken Ranch Italian Combo Grilled Chicken Herb And one time, the owner made a sandwich for us not on the menu– Chicken Parmigiana Sub. I love this place and it’s one of the«usual» places my friends and I try to go at least once every 2 weeks. The price is unbeatable for 2 subs, 7.99 for two. I usually only eat half of the full sub and save the other half for dinner that night or lunch/breakfast the next day, so that is equals to $ 2.00 a meal(can’t beat that!) I just ate there today, and I’ve already made myself salivate and stomach growl in reminiscence of the flavor of my sandwich after writing this review. Go try it out; support local business!

Being that I live around the corner, I decided to give this place a go the other day. I was expecting this to be more on par with Dinos in Arlington.(see ). It wasn’t even close. It was more like a Subway«Junior». Basically a Subway with a lot less choices. I don’t know what these other reviewers were smoking… The meat was the same freshness you would get from Subway. Sure it was slightly cheaper. but if you want a REAL sub, make the trip to Dinos. Then feel free to send me a thank you note.

PILEONSUBS is not joking, they will Pile It On with whatever you want. They have THE freshest and delicious homemade bread I have ever eaten. It’s well browned on the outside, but soft and chewy on the inside. This family owned, Mom & Pop sandwich shop is definitely one of Grand Prairie’s best little secrets. The chicken salad is gourmet style including, sliced grapes, celery, walnuts, etc. Their ham/turkey sub is ABOVEAVERAGE. Right now they have a special of 2 foot long subs $ 6.99… it will be the best $ 7 bucks you ever spend! It’s in a new strip shopping center on the corner of Lake Ridge & Camp Wisdom so stop by on your way TOJOEPOOLLAKE and grab a couple footlongs for your next picnic!
