History

Established in 1952.

Established when Ken Toren came back from WWII, he started a chain of portrait studios called Kendales. Allied Photo was the main production facility for all those studios. In the late 70’s-early 80’s Allied Photo started doing work for Professional Photographers across Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. With the digital revolution Allied Photo expanded in the 1990’s to do work for professional photographers across the country. In the 2000’s to now, the addition of Retail storefronts called Photo EVO, Allied Photo has expanded even more. Adding products such as prints on sheets of steel, printing on Canvas and other textiles, wall clings, standout mounts, and many other industry leading products Allied Photo has placed itself amongst the top labs in the country. In 2013 and 2014 Allied Photo– Photo EVO was recognized by The Photo Marketing Association and CES as one of the top labs, speaking at their annual show in Las Vegas. Now in its 3^rd generation Allied Photo is still innovating.
